Ive never visited the clinic, BUT I faithfully follow the YouTube channel and listen in to the podcast. I have watched the six-series Wellness Videos that Dr. Edwards put on Veritas Wellness YouTube page. His knowledge and teaching has changed my life as I have implemented a healthy lifestyle as a result of the things I have learned. Im always learning new information, and my eyes continue to be opened to true health and approaching life with God-given lenses rather than man-made lenses.Dr. Edwards and his team have changed my moms life. She is the reason I even heard of Veritas Medical in the first place. She was struggling with autoimmune disease and could not get any relief or help from conventional medicine. Doctors were about to put her on a chemotherapy drug! She felt she was out of options, so she visited Dr. Edwards at the urging of others who had seen excellent results under his care. Shes been implementing his approach to wellness ever since.My mom is now symptom-free and continues to improve in her health journey as she learns more all the time. Her results motivated me to get healthy in all aspects of my life, too. Veritas Medical is legitimate, and their entire purpose is to teach you how to not need a doctor. I would give it 0 stars if there was an option. My husband called to set an appointment for both of us. A week later he called and canceled ahead of time few days before our appointment. A month has passed we have received a letter from our insurance billed from this provider. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INSURANCE BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT!

I came to Veritas Medical in mid May of 2019 with autoimmune issues. I had been to multiple doctors in Lubbock looking for help from the pain and other symptoms. There were days that I endured total fatigue, dry mouth and eyes, extreme pain in my feet, arms, legs, and torso. I was spending money and time seeing all these doctors but was gaining no change in my well being. I had been searching for help for more than a year. A friend told me about Dr. Ben and the clinic and suggested I give it a try. I skeptically went as a last resort. Dr. Ben and one of the nurse practioners met with me for over two hours for a thorough exam. I left the clinic armed with supplements and a guide to change my eating habits. I started on this journey of changing my lifestyle of the four pillars: Nutrition, Hydration, Movement, and Peace that day. It was so hard at first. I contacted my Wellness Navigator almost in tears. Nicole is the best! She spent time talking with me and encouraging me. Anytime I have a question, I can depend on her to get back to me quickly on the issue. Within a few weeks, I began to feel better. It has been a bit over a year since I started this journey and would never go back. It has truly changed my life. I no longer face days of pain and fatigue with dry eyes and mouth. I feel better than I have in years.

I attempted to call to schedule an appointment with the provider. You can never speak to a real person. I left two voicemails before anyone called back three days after my first voicemail. I received a voicemail with a phone number that I was told I could call or send text messages to. When I contacted them I was told they had no openings for three and a half months. But, I could sign up for 285 dollars initially and 65 dollars a month. But, no openings would be available for months in between appointments. But, this is supposed to be a Christian office and it’s not a scam at all! Maybe the provider is good. But, it doesn’t seem like you would have much availability to be seen. I was also asked not to message the number because it was for membership clients only.

The entire staff is super. One feels welcome and ready to start healing. Every step is explained. One is encouraged to ask questions. We can discuss concerns face to face; whether it takes 15 minutes or an hour. They care about the person not just an illness.

Our 31 year old daughter struggled with complex chronic health issues for over 8 years declining to the point where she was unable to participate in life. Great people. But the bottom line is that it doesnt work. We changed our diet and my husband is taking a fistful of supplements everyday with no improvement. Still in pain, still exhausted all the time, still sick all the time. And when you say it isnt working, you get the same run-around and non-answers that you get at every other doctors office. Save your money. There are no answers here either.

I feel better than I have in at least 10 years. This approach does require some major diet and lifestyle changes, and I am still working on it. They are all healthy changes. I am gradually reducing prescription meds and feel more consistently happy and focused than I have since before my 10 year old was born. It is NOT a quick fix. I have been going there for almost 3 years.Had I made immediate and complete changes, I would probably be doing even better. I have made changes as I can.Veritas offers a lot of support via their expandshare website with educational videos and a lot of great info. Basically, you have to take good care of your body, and they have looked at a lot of leading edge, functional medicine info that you gradually are seeing parts of acknowledged in the regular medical system. Veritas is a much more wholistic and systemic approach that wants you to fix the system, not just parts of you at a time.

This is an updated review. I felt it important to share recent insights. I still stand by the original post. But theres been a positive change in the communication. It appears some changes in personnel may explain it. But the other services are still limited if you dont live there. (I understand, but not everyone has face plant, I mean Face book). Still I feel the intent is genuine and the alternative approach honorable.I know they see a lot of unrealistic people. Those who want to pop a pill for everything. Or who expect immediate change. Look, you didnt get into this shape over night, why would you think it would change over night? Be real and take some ownership. Nature takes time, so be patient with yourself and them.The follow up visit was better. They still seem a bit stand offish. And no, Im not expecting hugs and giggles. But theyre not like Dr. Edwards on the videos. So if youre expecting that, dont. Even at the front desk theyre cold. Theres no sincere greetings or smiles. Maybe its due to them living in the most dangerous city in Texas. I dont know. But customer service training would go a long way. Hint, hint. This is a persons life. The very concept of trying to improve it should imply that you care. So act like it. People take this path because they are either lost in the medical world of BS or frustrated with it. They need help, support and positive vibes. Not to feel uncomfortable and awkward while seeking answers. It goes against the image being put forth.No, this isnt a cheap service. Its all out of pocket, so yes, I expect quality thats real and of value. I dont want to be another slot in their day. But a sincere focus. If youre going to preach about doing what is different than the rest, then do it with every thing and do it well.But time spent in the office has been far more than Ive had with other doctors. They do want the patient to be self-educated. And I appreciate when discussing alternative concepts that they don’t attack you. Unlike allopathic doctors, who see alternative methods as voodoo. I also understand that my experience isnt the same as most folks. Nor my expectations for that matter. I get what theyre putting down. This approach isnt foreign to me.Will I continue? Yes, Im vested for months to come. And Ive seen some value in the process. With having things looked at a bit closer, and time spent addressing all the areas. Its not perfect, but its better than the allopathic doctors. Ive been battling doctors for years saying something wasnt right. And each time the blame was placed on me. And I admit I added to my condition, despite having knowledge; out of ignorance, laziness, or following the herd. Anyone who has tried, knows its not a easy row to hoe.But to learn that there was a genetic element at the core of my issues since birth. Well, I didnt expect that. Had never thought of that. No other doctor went that far before, despite me requesting it. Then when all the results were in, it was pretty clear.Im a alien. Thats right, Im a bloody Martian. Right? I know, me too. (Im teasing, checking to see if youre paying attention.)A lot of questions were answered when the results came in. And I would have died at a young age like my father Im sure, had it not been for this doctor. And that, as my family said, ...was worth a pot of gold.For that I thank them, despite the short comings in customer service. And my family thanks them.Would we recommend them? We have, and will continue. Life is a wicked mystery and puzzle. This is one important piece of that puzzle for me. Im sure as they move forward, itll improve. But like fixing years of treating your body like a toxic dumping ground, it will take some time. And it looks like Ill have more time on my hands to see them improve. Thanks!
