HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! PATIENTS BEWARE!!I dropped a relative off for an appointment with Han. He makes senior citizens wait for OVER AN HOUR after a confirmed appointment time in a FREEZING room, while he crams as many patients as he can into this ridiculous excuse for a business he calls a clinic. His assistant is EXTREMELY RUDE and Han will see a patient for just a few minutes without even a proper diagnosis, before sending them off. If you truly care about your loved ones, find another place to take them for their medical needs.

I was beyond lucky to have Doctor Han as a surgeon. I broke both ankles in the peek of the pandemic, and wasnt sure what I was going to do. He went out of his way to help me, the surgery went well and the healing process has been relatively easy. His team is incredible, Heather and the entire staff have been there for me through out the process. The facility is clean, top notch and easy to access - even with crutches and a chair. Couldnt recommend Han Orthopedics more.

He saved my arm. It was basically in need of replacement, and he was able (do to his incredible skill with orthoscopy) to rebuild my rotator cuff.

Initially everything with the front desk staffed seemed to be great. After seeing Dr. Han that’s when things didn’t go so well. After requesting that I only see him in the room (not the assistant) he declined. He did not ask why or seem to be concerned. He basically said no and that was the end. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable afterwards. The way he worded his questions was very unnatural and aggressive. A complete waste of time. A very unfortunate way to leave a doctors appointment. :(

Dr. Han is an exceptional surgeon. He did both hip replacements for my father. Both procedures were a success and went very smoothly. He uses updated and minimally invasive techniques which were are essential for fast recovery. Now, what really strikes me in Dr. Han is his compassion and humbleness. The staff is great. They are attentive and professional. The office is very pleasant and clean. My father and my entire family is very grateful for Dr. Han and the work that he has done!

Back in February, I broke my wrist in a snowboarding accident. The next day I went straight to Dr. Han at Han Orthopaedics and I’m so glad I did. Today marks my final 3 month appointment and everything’s back to normal. You wouldn’t even know I broke anything. He was able to fit me into surgery right away and I had absolutely no post-operative complications. Dr. Han and his staff are very attentive and are always looking out for their patients. What’s even cooler is their Physical Therapy office is right in Dr. Han’s office so it’s very convenient. I was in a physical therapy session one day and I had a question and Dr. Han popped in to answer. Debbie, the physical therapist, and Justin, the physical therapy assistant are amazing providers! All in all, I highly recommend Han Orthopaedics for any orthopedic problems. Dr. Han knows many specialists as well that he can refer you to like the hand specialist Dr. Lee who works in the same building. You won’t go wrong with Dr. H

Dr Han is one of the most skilled Shoulder Arthroscopists that I’ve worked with in my 7+ years of experience. Dr Han is passionate in his trade and prideful in his abilities to repair the most complex soft-tissue tears. Three Fellowship trainings for one Surgeon is extremely rare and show through in Dr Han’s high skill level. I would and will recommend Dr Han to my family and friends needing a Shoulder Surgeon.

Overall, I do NOT recommend going to Dr. Yung Hans Orthopedics. While there are several reasons as to why I had a terrible experience, I will highlight the two most important reasons (which I hope will serve as helpful feedback for Dr. Han, his staff members, and office communication system). This summer, I received surgery on my right shoulder (called the rotator cuff operation) because there were issues with my tendons next to my bone. After the surgery, Dr. Hans Orthopedics office did NOT provide me the important post-operation information or timeline in a clear manner, verbally or physically in document form. Due to this failure in communication from the doctor and his office staff to the patient, I ended up receiving physical therapy much earlier than required on my shoulder. This severe lack of communication led me to take an MRI exam to assess how much this earlier-than-required physical therapy affected my shoulders condition. If Dr. Han or even his staff member had taken the time to sit with me to go over the important post-operation steps and forms of exercise verbally AND provided me these steps on a piece of paper, this issue would not have happened in the first place.Another big issue that I faced beyond this lack of communication was the way I was treated by Dr. Han as his patient. Whenever I saw him for a post-operation check up, he failed to fulfill the fundamental responsibilities of any doctor: listening with empathy and responding with acknowledgment. After explaining to him the increasing amount of pain I was experiencing since the surgery, he never acknowledged my words and neglected to completely listen to me. He always perceived my explanations as complaints and would always respond along the lines of-- Hey look, I dont have a lot of time right now, so what is there that I can do to resolve this situation? or You tend to complain a lot which makes me feel frustrated because Im just constantly listening to your complaints -- and he even once walked out on me as I was calmly talking to him. If anything, the first appropriate response for any doctor (or any interaction with another person) is to FIRST acknowledge what theyre saying rather than letting your feelings and thoughts control your actions. It was the first time that I experienced having a doctor walk out of a patient room while I was calmly explaining to him how Ive been feeling since the last check up. If Dr. Han had just simply validated what I was saying and expressed his care for his patient as a doctor, this mistreatment would not have happened in the first place. All in all, I think these two significant issues led me, my family, and my friends to have a negative experience that I truly hope no other patient will ever have to experience.

My mom had a knee replacement from Dr. Han and had an amazing result. Honestly, I was skeptical of her having surgery in Koreatown so I went with her when she decided to have surgery by him and I did my research.Dr. Han is a very accomplished doctor with an excellent bedside manner and tremendous reputation. But above all, he genuinely cared about her and was passionate about his work. She chose him over 3 other doctors including UCLA. From her friends to nurses and physical therapy and everyone else in the hospital, I learned that Dr. Han is known for doing the best knee replacement in town.My mom had surgery and was walking the same day. She went home the next day. She can now walk miles (when she couldn’t even walk a few blocks) and even golfs and does dance classes! She no longer has knee pain and is overall just much happier. This surgery has really changed her life. We were really lucky to have met him and he is truly a blessing for Koreatown!

8 months ago, my right shoulder muscle was severely torn by Dr. Thanks to meeting Dr. Han, I am now healed, there are no problems in my daily life, and I can start playing golf carefully again. Shoulder surgery Before I received it from Han, I asked, Instead of not being able to play golf properly for about a year, please treat me so that I can use it for more than 15 years. In the process of finding a doctor for surgery, one of the specialists I met and recommended looked at the MRI and said, Because Im old, Id like to sew just the easy-to-handle outer side of the ruptured muscles, and it will not interfere with my daily life. It was amazing. However, Dr. Han said that not roughly considering the age, but that all the broken tendons should be stitched together, and I gained confidence that I could leave the surgery. He successfully performed a difficult operation to connect three torn tendons out of four shoulder tendons, and such a competent joint specialist Dr. I am very lucky to meet Han. I am very satisfied with the result, and I am very good at Dr. I really appreciate Han and his kind staff. With good progress, there is no obstacle to daily life, and if I carefully train the muscles necessary for golf and gradually increase the amount of exercise, I think I will be able to enjoy golf for the rest of my life and live a healthy life as before. Thank you very much to one teacher and staff.

I always felt uncomfortable walking and lived almost like a disabled person, but I was able to live a normal life again after receiving knee artificial joint surgery from Mr. Han. Now I dont have pain and I feel like Im in full balance with my body. He is a teacher with great skills. I definitely want to recommend it.Before receiving the knee surgery from Dr. Han, I had great difficulty walking and could not perform daily activities due to the pain. However, after the surgery I no longer have pain and have returned to all activities with no limitations. He is an extremely skilled orthopedic surgeon; I highly recommend him.

Sometimes my shoulder hurts and it was difficult to raise my arm, but I just passed it because of my age. Then, from March this year, I couldnt lift my arm, and my shoulder tendon was ruptured (completely broken) as a result of an MRI scan, so I had to undergo surgery. Dr. Han Young did the surgery to connect the broken tendon so I was able to stay without taking a single pain reliever during the recovery period. The physical therapist teacher was also surprised that the recovery was really fast. We sincerely thank Young Han for allowing us to recover quickly and without pain at a not small age. Before the surgery, I had constant shoulder pain, which I thought was natural pain with age. However, this March, I was unable to lift my arm up so I took an MRI and was told that I had a rotator cuff tear. To repair the torn tendon, I went through surgery with Dr. Han and had great post-operative results. During the post-operative period I did not take any pain medications and recovered at a very quick pace. I also received physical therapy to bring back my motion and strength. During the rehab period, the physical therapist was surprised at how fast I was recovering. I am so thankful to have gone under surgery with Dr. Han.
