Dr. Christ is extremely skilled and knowledgeable while also being very patient-centric. He provides options to me and talks through them with me thoroughly and patiently. I definitely feel like we are a team in my care and am so grateful he is my orthopedic oncologist/surgeon. The cancer in my bone is one of multiple organs involved so he has been wonderful about putting the treatment of my bone issue in the context of all of the other treatments I am getting so that I have the best outcome and quality of life overall vs. being singularly focused on what he is treating specifically. While my care has been excellent overall as it is ongoing, my surgery specifically was very well orchestrated and managed from the minute we decided to proceed through follow up.Joanne is very responsive and helpful and both Joanne and Dr. Christ have made me feel well cared for (and they also make me laugh which is indeed the best medicine!).

Dr. Christ is one of the best doctors that I have had the pleasure of working with! He diagnosed my hand tumor when several previous doctors could not. He took the time to explain my diagnosis and discussed at length all the options I had available. He never made me feel pressured and even met with me several times before my surgery to answer any lingering questions I had. In the end, I underwent two surgeries with him and I truly feel that I was in the best hands possible. His bedside manner is impeccable, he is extremely accommodating/understanding, and Joanne, his nurse, goes above and beyond for patients. I would 100% recommend him to patients looking for an amazing orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Christ removed a mass in my shoulder muscle, and every step of the way, he was compassionate, patient, and responsive to my questions. Fantastic doctor, and he made the surgery as good an experience as something like that can be. Cant thank him enough.

My son and I had a great experience with Dr. Christ. He was knowledgeable (of course) and fully explained the procedure. He was friendly and open to answer any questions. The surgery went very well and the recovery time was short. I highly recommend Dr. Christ.

I had been suffering with a worn out hip for a few years and was referred to Dr. Christ by another Orthopedic with USC/Keck. Firstly, I am so happy that that finally had my hip replaced. My quality of life has increased dramatically and I am back to strenuous and pain-free exercise and activities. I cannot say enough good things about the level of care I received from both Dr. Christ and Joanne (LNV). Pre-surgery appointments were on-time and they took a lot of time to explain procedures, timelines, and hospital protocols. My hip replacement (October 2020) has been a 100% success and I am referring my acquaintances and friends who are experiencing hips issues to Dr. Christ and Joanne. I will definitely use them again when my other hip wears out!

I was referred to Dr. Christ for surgical removal of a benign, but aggressive tumor of my femur. I am a health professional with knowledge of best practices for surgical patients and was pleased with Dr. Christs attention to detail. He evaluated my situation thoroughly, provided comprehensive explanations, and always took the time needed to answer my questions. His office Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Joanne, kept me informed of office visits, steps in the process, and any tests needed before and after the procedure. I am healing well, thanks to Dr. Christ and Joanne.

My dad had been suffering for years with hip pain and a bad limp, and no one in town would touch his hip because of how severe the damage was. Thankfully he was referred to Dr. Christ, and he treated my dad with empathy and compassion. Joanne (his LVN) treated us like family and did all she could to expedite the process, and when COVID delayed his surgery, she was in constant contact with us and kept us optimistic. At every appointment, Dr. Christ took the time to explain everything to my dad and I, and made it a wonderful experience. This was a very scary procedure for my dad, but they did an amazing job at comforting us and helping us to feel at ease. The surgery went beautifully and my dad recovered quickly! His hip feels great and he’s feeling like his old self again. I would recommend Dr. Christ and Joanne 1000%! They are an amazing team and I am so grateful for them!

Last November, I had surgery to remove what was originally thought to be a benign tumor from under my right thumb nail. The tumor, however, turned out to be cancerous. My surgeon was the most insensitive, uncaring physician I had ever encountered. When he callously and bluntly said the only option was to amputate the end of my thumb, I decided to leave his care and seek a second opinion .In January, I was referred to Dr. Alexander Christ at Keck Medicine. Dr. Christ is the most caring, compassionate physician I have ever met. He spent at least an hour with me, explaining in detail why the best medical option for me was amputation, that it is not something he enjoys having to do, as he prefers to save limbs rather than remove them. He never made me feel that he was in a hurry, or anxious to get to his next patient. He took his time to answer all my questions. I had the surgery in February. All went as expected. Again, at my post-op appointment, he spent a great deal of time with me making me feel as good as possible considering Id just lost the end of my thumb. Dr. Christ is the best! I highly recommend him! In addition, Joanne, Dr. Christs nurse, is amazing! She responds to requests very quickly, and is very helpful in every way.

Great Dr !!! Made my son and the family feel at ease with his kind words and reassurance. He performed a successful surgery, in which benign results came back from Pathology on the tumor that was removed from my sons right knee. Dr Christ is highly recommended. Thank you Dr. Christ. 👍👍👍

This dr seriously messed up sending a friends daughter away to wait 6 weeks when her leg was hurting her. She had a history of osteosarcoma but he didnt bother to check. She turned up in the ER in severe pain... he told her to come back in 6 weeks. By then her leg had become necrotic. and the cancer had spread to her lungs. She now needs an amputation and intense chemo and surgery. She continued to receive horrible care at childrens. What a joke of a dr. and a disgrace of a hospital.

We came to Dr. Christ for my husband’s previously damaged ACL from a slalom injury that was causing pain as of late; we feared that it was going to require surgery. Thankfully, he is a meticulous & thorough diagnostician and determined the appropriate& non-invasive treatment regimen and he’s feeling better— even started running a couple of days a week again
