The most passionate and dedicated animal activists in the world work from this state of the art building in the heart of Echo Park. Whether walking, or biking, or driving by, you cant miss it and every time I see this office, Im reminded of how far weve come for animals because of PETA! Im also reminded of how much more work there is yet to do, so if youre local or visiting from out of town, be sure to keep an eye out for any of the many events they host, or stop in to pick up some literature and merchandise.

Kind folks can be found here and do a ton of work for animals in the the LA area-from preventing coyotes from being cruelly killed in Arcadia to rescuing baby possums to promoting spay and neuter services in the area—and more. And of course they have a prominent voice nationally (and internationally) in promoting the end of speciesism.

Hi, given 4 stars because I am not familiar with PETA yet, all I know is what I see on TV. I am writing because I am desperate and hoping that someone from PETA can read this. Last year there was two abbandoned cats by my neighbor they left them when they moved out, they have been abused one kitty still have her I injuries to this day. I started feeding them hoping that the owner will return but they never came back. They dont trust no one except when I bring the food to them. I called SPCA I was told to call other organizations so I did that. To make long story short after calling almost everyone in my local area Los Angeles no one from non profit animal rescue calls me back.The kittens still outside the streets in front of my apartment but there is this one guy in my apartment who hates the cats he has been harassing them even reported to the landlord so the the landlord is telling me to stop feeding the cats. If anyone please help these kitten to find them a good home. I would keep them but I am not allowed to have pets in my unit. The cats dont bother no one they hides after they ate. I just cant believe how cruel these people are. How can someone hate an animal they are just trying to survive.Please help 😪😪. my heart is broken to see them like this.

PETA has done more for animals than any other contemporary organization -- from securing the first conviction of an experimenter for animal abuse, to shutting down Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. Their lawyers and scientists are in the top tier of their respective fields, poised to win many more victories for animals in future. I have long been a proud supporter, providing regular financial contributions, adopting horses and dogs who were rescued by PETA, and volunteering on an ongoing basis with a variety of projects. Everyone Ive worked with on PETAs staff is smart and tough while at the same time kind and caring toward animals and humans alike!

My grandma got a letter in the mail from Peta and I was very upset with the images they feel that they need to put on the inside of there pamphlet. Yes I think animal cruelty is wrong but I do not need to see a cat getting surgery and blood everywhere. I would have appreciated a disclaimer at least.

Friendly and helpful staff who are on call 24/7/365 to help animals! Ive had to call PETAs emergency hotline multiple times because local law enforcement wasnt able to help at the time. Even when I call late at night, someone kind and patient answers and helps me do whats best for the animal in danger.

In the face of all the greed and gratuitous violence of modern society, you walk off Sunset Bvd into a haven of peace, full of gentle people, determined to make the world a little better each day by fighting the death machines of industrialised slaughter and torture of animals.Also, the place is full of dogs, which is always a good thing.

Personally I have not been to this location but I do commend PETA for their never ending fight for animal rights. I will not say I 100% agree on everything with PETA but bottom line is that they are an amazing organization that deals with horrible situations and yes even accidents happen. If u think this only applies to PETA, guess what? It happens at ur every day shelter as well. That same shelter that most of these keyboard warriors have never been to or volunteered at or have done anything revolving around rescuing an animal. Its so easy to sit and type away and toot your own important horn than it is to get into the thick of it, the ugly reality of animal suffering. Take that keyboard warrior time and put it to better use, do something to help protect and save animals.

Okay, I just needed to share my opinion here. I have done a very extensive amount of research on PETA, and on every other topic that Im passionate about, and it is clear that many of these anti-PETA commenters are just as ignorant as they claim everyone else is.These claims and facts about PETA killing around 86.3% of dogs and a high amount of other animals that they obtain can easily be found, it is the most popular anti-PETA information out there, and it does not mean you did your research.If you choose not to donate to PETA because you feel they are corrupt and dont use their donations to help animals, then that is fine and it is commendable that you are wise with your money and have your own opinion. However, if you are an animal right supporter, you should really be careful about how you comment on PETA, because it can come across as if you are siding with animal abusers, weakening animal rights arguments even greater. If this is indeed why you dont like the PETA organization, you should still be able to appreciate its large variety of informative articles that can really open peoples eyes, and you shouldnt let your bias deem these articles untrue.As for the idea that PETA hopes to deprive people of their pets, that is just untrue. And lastly, I really feel that people need to stop avoiding gaining knowledge about slaugher houses and other forms of abuse just because they simply like to eat meat. You dont have to become vegan just to show some compassion. Anyways, as youve probably heard, if you dont trust large organizations such as PETA, it is usually a good idea to donate to your local humane society or possibly even adopt a pet. PETA has no compassion for animals. They have called for the killing of any breed they think is a pit bull. They kill hundreds of healthy pets each year. They only have a 4% adoption rate. Its high time PETA was disbanded and shut down for good.

PETA or Also known as Peoples Ethical Treatment of Animals. Claims to achieve Animal Rights in a way they are expressing it. However the problem with this organization is that they are presenting false facts even spreading more hypocrisy. An example was when a poor Dog was euthanized under their responsibility, even though the pet was healthy and in good shape. The aftermath ended with compensation of 49,000 dollars which was fair and brought justice. There is a reality of this god awful campaign which is to extend their agenda by making it feel like we are persecuting animals while they are doing it as well. I hope no one in the world trusts PETA nor Ingrid Newkirk along with Alex Pacheco. Because what they are trying to spread is not awareness but delusion and hypocrisy as they too are also responsible for euthanizing animals and mistreating them. Screw PETA and the whole SHAM organization

Amazing organisation. Peta2 - the youth division, really engages the youth around the world to get active for animals. Every year their tour crew tours with warped tour promoting animal rights at all the warped tour locations. It was PETA who first opened my eyes to our world of animal abuse, so THANK YOU PETA!!

85% of PETAs dog population was euthanized in the year 2013 alone. Shelters peaked at 97%, once only getting 14 dogs a home, all the while euthanizing a large amount to free up space. If you support animals, you will never support PETA. PETA deserves the worst.
