This practice is terrific. Dr. Gabriel Hunt combines expertise and a willingness to listen and discuss. He is also an excellent surgeon. Also, the staff is very friendly and professional. My father did a surgery with him a few years ago and we are so glad we chose to do it with Dr. Hunt. Thank you for everything, Dr. Hunt. We are so grateful and happy with the results!

Dr Gabriel Hunt is not only an exceptional surgeon but one of the kindest and caring people I am lucky to have met. He saved my life by finding a rare brain tumor that even my neurologist hadn’t detected, then with his amazing hands removing it during a complex surgery to leave me with zero side effects. There is no one else I would recommend or trust. He is a miracle worker and I will forever be grateful.

I cannot thank Drs. Gabriel and Leonel Hunt enough! How do you thank someone who has given you your life back?I am 74 years old and had severe spinal stenosis, made worse by scoliosis. I had been putting off surgery for 40 years because I was so afraid something could go wrong. When I started staying home instead of accepting invitations to go out and have fun with my grandkids, I knew it was time.I went to every neurosurgeon in the Los Angeles area twice! I decided on Dr. Gabriel Hunt because he suggested the minimal amount of work (other doctors wanted to do more) and completely explained to me why that was the best decision. He is so knowledgeable, so understanding, so patient and so talented. I believed him, I trusted him and I so felt safe in his hands. Its really nice to go into surgery relaxed and knowing you are in the best of hands.I had a laminectomy on Oct. 28, 2020. The next morning I was walking around the hospital with absolutely no pain whatsoever. I could not believe it. No one could believe it. It was a difficult, almost 4 hour surgery and I never had any pain afterwards! My family cannot believe how I just pop up out of a seated position and stand straight now instead of taking 2 minutes to get up and then straighten up. What a miracle he performed. I have so much respect and gratitude for Dr. Hunt.I am back into life now able to join my children and grandchildren when they go places. Can you imagine how thankful and happy I am? I wake up every morning excited to start the day.Dr. Gabriel Hunt and Dr. Leonel Hunt, there are no words to tell you how I feel.

After having gone thru epidurals every other month for 3 years and being in a cocktail of pain meds (Tramadol, Vicodin, Norco & ultimately Dilaudid), I had my first back surgery. It was great! I was pain free.....for 2 years. Ugh!Again back to pain management, epidurals each month and that nasty drug regimen. I finally agreed to have a spinal cord stimulator implant. The trial worked wonderful, I thought I would finally be pain free. That never happened. After 2 years with the implant and several attempts to find the right setting plus epidurals every month and again, the same pain med regimen, I decided to see Dr Hunt. After explaining that he would NEVER have had me go thru the endless, useless procedures, nor would he heave ever suggested a spinal cord stimulator, he explained his treatment and hardware placement. Within 1 month I had a spinal fusion with hardware and am pain free, drug free and more active than I have ever been.Dr Hunt is a life saver...I will never be able to thank him for giving me my life back!

After having been given the runaround by one of Dr. Hunts colleagues, I was lucky to find Dr. Hunt, this utterly honest and professional physician. He couldve had a simple surgery on me and have made a lump sum of money. He didnt. He decided that I wasnt the right candidate for surgery (for which I had prepared myself). Because of the long distance between my house and his office, for the procedures Ill need, he has put me together with a network of doctors and therapist in the vicinity of my house and will supervise the progress of my treatment personally.I will keep you posted as to the progress of my treatments.

I did my homework and visited over 8 neurosurgeons. I eventually chose to work with Dr. Hunt and he has changed my life forever. I was told I would never play ball again... that I would have surgery every 3 years for the rest of my life. Not true, I went in, got fixed up, went back to work within a week and I play ball once a week pain free.Do your homework. You are in great hands with Dr. Hunt.

Excellent bedside manner, and to top it off he requested his nurse check in with me periodically to notify me of the successes of the surgery. This was for a family member undergoing L5 | S1 surgery. Glad to say that she is recovering after her surgery yesterday and feeling like she is in good hands! Thank you Dr. G. Hunt!

Thanks to Dr. Hunt for allowing me to carry on with my everyday activities, things that not long ago, I was unable. His calm demeanor and way of explaining how he was going to repair my L-4/L-5 disc problems helped alleviate my pre-surgery jitters. A shout out to his office staff, always prompt in helping in whatever what they could in a friendly, yet professional manner.

Since my cervical surgery in 2013, my pain level is and remains constant at a level 10. I have attached photos to this email which demonstrates with high probability that the pain is caused by the hardware you haphazardly installed in my neck. I say haphazardly because an MRI I had taken in 2013, shows that you drilled through my nerve canal and that screw protrudes through the vertebrae. That same screw is putting pressure on my nerve (see attachments below) which is causing severe radiating pain down my right arm. Some of the hardware presents a danger and for that reason must be removed. This prospect of yet another major surgery makes me very unhappy to say the very least especially since it is not of my doing and could have been avoided. After a few months after the surgery you performed, I assumed the pain level would subside at around 3-4 months. At about 3 1/2 months post-op, I knew something must be wrong because my pain was constant at a level 10. I found it necessary to increase my medications and sought nerve root blocks from my Pain Management doctor and his referrals. I suspected a problem because of the surgery. I have had numerous surgeries, cervical and lumbar and never have I had the pain level remain at the level I was experiencing post your cervical surgery. In September of that same year, I had an MRI of my cervical.Level C6-7 shows, The right screw projects anterior to the lamina and into the back of the neural foramen (see protruding screw MRI attached). The reason for my number 10 level of pain was obvious. Your surgery was the cause. Prior to the MRI, which is some 4-5 months post your surgery, I had to have Nerve Root Blocks to help reduce some of the pain.I cannot believe that you, as a professional surgeon, would walk out of a surgical room knowing a screw from your fusion penetrated my nerve canal and more importantly, is putting pressure on my nerve root which can be dangerous. I began to seek the opinions of several doctors. Why you would allow your patient to have no knowledge of the situation. I met with your assistant surgeon and yourself twice post op and at neither visit did either of you mention that I had a screw protruding out of a vertebrae which passes through a nerve canal and is putting pressure on the nerve. The doctors I visited were of the same opinion and made the same comment: .... no technical negligence ... [but] just a sloppy [various synonyms] job ...The pain level is still at a number 10 because of your negligence. The least you or your assistant could have done was to have told me that there was a problem and we could have discussed a possible solution or at the least give me an idea of what to expect. You had the opportunity since I did follow up with you twice post-op and we could have discussed what could be done. But, neither your or your assistant discussed the situation. Your assistant only mentioned the halos around the screws at one fused level after taking an XRay at the second post-op meeting and nothing more.As you can now see by the attached Preoperative Clearance Form, I am having the hardware you install in my cervical removed. Primarily because there are still halos around two of the fusion screws at C5-6 and primarily because of the amount of pain generated because of The right screw projects anterior to the lamina and into the back of the neural foramen which radiates down my left arm. My pain level remains at a level 10 which has been constant since you performed the surgery in September of last year.
