Got a captain and lower level staff that have attitudes and general disregard for decedents and their families. Disgusting displays of simple-minded authority and ignorance.

On Saturday around noon my brother was sitting in his living . He was recovering from COVID it was his 12 th day post COVID infection. He was fully vaccinated. He got up and he fell and hit his head. Upon impact he started seizing. He lost bladder control and was gasping for air on the floor. His daughter noticed that he couldnt breath and started Cpr on him. By the time the paramedics arrived they found him without a pulse and no breathing so they started CPR and defibrillation in attempt to restart his heart without success he was hooked to an EKG which showed no heart activity after 20 minutes they pronounced him dead. The coroners office determined that he had a massive heart attack without any evidence of it. These people are incompetent lazy no good heartless bunch. They will not pick up my brothers dead body from his home. You cannot diagnose a heart attack without a beating heart or a blood test to check the cardiac markets . I CHALLENGE THEM TO CORRECT ME IF WRONG NON PULSE NO BLOOD TEST NO DIAGNOSES. Shame on this lazy DEPARTMENT OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK !!!!!!

This office has the most insensitive, heartless, mean spirited group of employees Ive ever dealt with. I hope none of those people ever have to have a loved one go through that office, but wait Im sure they would be treated differently if they did so I shouldnt say that. Families should be handled with care and professionalism instead of the unbothered demeanor the Los Angeles County Medical Examiners office displays.

Someone please explain to me why is it so hard to get through with morgue office? I have been transferred left and right and no one answers and left messages w them and still no response. Hrs of operations clearly states M-F 8-5 by your answering machines. Im trying to reach someone to claim family ashes as i am out of state and no one is answering me this was the only place to leave a message where hopefully someone will read it.

Impossible to get a hold of anyone. Once you do, they send you to voicemail. If you are calling them, it is because you are going through the death of a loved. They dont seem to care and have zero compassion. Dr. Lucas, do you read these reviews? Are you connected to how your department is being perceived? And, will you do anything to fix this and change the culture of your staff?

Horrible service, as if giving families the run around Getting transferred to all sorts of departments, being placed on hold repeatedly, never calling back when they say they will. My father passed away in the beginning of November they took till them middle of December to run one simple test, they refused to do an autopsy after they ogrinally said they would. Then to top it off they finally give my father back to me so I can lay him to rest, with not one single new piece of information on what led to his passing, but then give me a nice bill to go along with the doctor saying an I quote“ for a real autopsy you would need to find a private doctor an that should run about 4 thousand dollars all I’m aloud to to is a brief visual inspection of the body “If I would have known that I would have found a private doctor to begin with,So after waiting over a month with me calling every couple days not once did they mention only doing a brief visual exam. It’s really sad how they treat grieving families giving false promises an big bills.

My father passed away Friday. I’ve been trying to reach the Office on many different numbers for the last 3 days. I called the original investigator, I called the main 24 hour line and have gotten nothing. This is completely unacceptable for the type of business they are in and I will seek to file a complaint

I would give 0 stars if it were an option. My younger brother passed way over 6 months ago and the case is still in differed status. It isnt a complicated case, we are only waiting to get the final toxicology reports (he purposely ODd - depression). For over 6 months this worthless, tax payer sucking organization has done exactly zero. When something happens to a celeb they cant act fast enough.

Actually not really a tourist attraction, but funny things are for sale in the shop. The proceeds go to charity so although it is a morbid attraction it is worth a visit.

Thank God I do not know in person that place but the photos that are there are very clear of how things are inside the morget mui sad place one has to have much courage and strength to go there my respects for all that the people who knew about it inside
