Im 60. I was diagnosed with HIV in 1985 and with AIDS in 1989. I was a very promiscuous little boy and started having lots of sex with many partners at 15. In those days all one could get from unprotected sex was Siphilis and Ghonnorrhea. I got my first STDs at 16. So I went to the free health clinic at the LA Gay and Lesbian Center. Dr. Paul Keith volunteered there at night and thats where I met him. When I started selling real estate at 18, it occurred to me that if I just made an appointment with Dr. Keiths office, that I wouldnt have to wait in the long line at the Free Clinic. That was 42 years ago. I was diagnosed with HIV in 1985, because thats when they invented the first HIV test; but I likely have had HIV since 1977. Im not a slow-progressor, I was just lucky to be a patient of Dr. Keiths. After Dr. Keith died of Cancer, Dr. Emmanuel Lim took over Dr. Keiths practice. Dr. Lim, besides being a brilliant doctor, also became a good friend. Dr. Lim is a doctor that you can confide in. He wont judge you, hes seen everything, he will just make you healthy. So if you want to be healthy and to live a really long life and to make a good friend, consider making an appointment to see Dr. Lim. So I have been living with HIV now for about 40 years and if you met me, you would never know it.
