Absolutely worthless. Dismissive and demeaning. When she walked into the patient room, I handed her a diagnostic worksheet outlining my complicated medical disorders. It was signed by chief of an NIH research study on the connective tissue disorders I have. Shelly told me loudly to rip it up and said I needed to talk a doctor into giving me an anti-depressant. She had not listened to my heart or lungs. She had not asked me any questions. Her statement about needing a pill for depression was the first thing out of her mouth. My GI specialist had wanted her to offer an opinion about my carcinoid syndrome, and another doctor needed her to write a clearance letter for surgery. She simply wrote down my blood pressure in the records. That is all she did. She NEVER wrote the clearance letter for surgery, and the delay put my life in danger. I had to drive three hours to see Shelly and I was worn out from the drive on the 10 freeway to get there. She didn’t spend five minutes with me. She was anxious to make her lunch date and immediately left her office and put her arm through a man’s and headed towards the cafeteria. She was so arrogant, heartless and dismissive that I am still dumbfounded to this day. The two doctors who needed her opinion and the clearance for surgery were dumbfounded and dismayed
