I have to agree with others that this is not at all the best doctor nor the best office. I had gone to see him for a BiPAP and he provided me with that but it took months to get the prescription sent to the medical supply company. I made so many phone calls to tell them that what they had sent over was not acceptable to be able to fulfil the order of the BiPAP. Im also very unsatisfied with the parking situation at UCLA in Westwood. This has nothing to do with the doctor but it is extremely unfair that they charge $12 to park in a parking garage that is so confusing its ridiculous

Dr Kang is an excellent physician. He takes time to listen, hes pro-active at addressing issues and my appointment was ON-TIME. He made me feel like I mattered and humanized the process - a rare quality in todays complex world of medical offices and over booked waiting rooms.Well Done Dr. Kang (and Staff)

I drove in from out of town (1.5 hours) to see him, based on a referral from our company nurse. I have been having terrible sleep issues and am in desperate need of a nap around 3pm everyday. The office visit was good. In an out and on with life. He sent the insurance a form to approve a sleep study and gave me a trial of a prescription. He told me to try that and if I liked it, he would write a prescription. Well, it seemed to help A LOT.Turns out, it cannot be filled without a pre-authorization. RiteAid sent it to the office and a few weeks later had still not gotten it back. I called his office at least 6 times now, talking to both the front desk and his nurse. NONE of them want to help or even feel inclined to do their part. I called my insurance asking for help and they even called the office with no luck. Now, two months later, I still do not have the prescription. I asked for an alternate and the response I got was that I would need to go in for another appointment to talk to him. Are you kidding me? I am not making the trip down there AGAIN, because your office staff is too lazy and rude.I am so disappointed in this entire experience.

Dr Kang and UCLA left me with the worst impression and experience I have ever had with medical professionals to date. The long wait despite having set an appointment a month in advance was the least of my discomfort. Dr Kang failed to answer any of my questions with information I did not already know from my own experience and research. He spent maybe a total of 20 minutes with me; yet my bill came out to about $1000 on the basis that he had done moderate to complex decision making, which I believe is not the case--the extent of his problem-solving was his confirming my belief that a small rash on my skin was indeed eczema, and that I should sleep for 8 hours to feel mentally sharp. He did not give me any options or pricing estimates for the removal of a small, benign wart, but rather froze it off for $280. He did not bother to tell me that this option was that expensive, nor that I could substitute it with over-the-counter medicine for $12. The UCLA Hospital really disappointed me on all fronts, from the wait to the office visit to the outrageous expenses to the unhelpful customer service lines--even to the lack of parking validation for patients. The least they could have done is offer validation and save me $13, which is nothing compared to the profits they scammed me out of overall. I will not be returning to Dr Kang for any reason.
