I used to go to the UCLA house and hearing institute down town LA, not sure why but the place closed, I was given the option the be at UCLA audiology for treatment and replacement of a hearing aid. My first impression was great still UCLA great service, but no. The ride has been extra bumpy from not being able to schedule and appointment and not getting the right information doing on my part everything they requested to get the prosses going right away. AND Jet we request for one thing and getting another one, even the insurance had to get involved so the hearing aid could be dispensed the Dr keep putting off filling the necessary paperwork and after all that they make me wait 2 more months to pick it up to many excuses, I assume we get to deal with train professionals that are concern of the well being of their patients not their personal issues.Patiens are not to praise the Doctors specially if the service is bad, thanks got I was not having a hear attack other wise from the initial appointment on November 2020 to June 2021 to get the hearing aid after all unnecessary delays I could have been dead.I do not recomend the place if you have options do not choose UCLA 540 Audiology and speech pathology .

Great facility, horrible parking. They have valet outside Ronald Reagan medical.Medical plaza is Located walking distance from Ronald Reagan medical.Restrooms are a bit limited for such s huge facility, disappointing. Also mens urinals are not waterless, what a waste of water, shame , shame, shame ucla. The regular parking is in between the 100, 200, 300 medical plaza buildings. The paid parking ($12) offers discounts with handicap placards ($8) although finding handicap parking is tough.Friendly staff. Very modern clean look.Ronald Reagan has a cafeteria with Starbucks. Prices $2 + for drinks the pastries like muffins $3 +, combos run $7 +. Chips are $1.25. Nice large seating area.Consider giving yourself two hours to get here and maybe taking side streets home if you catch rush hour after 4-5 pm. Enjoy a scenic tour through Beverly Hills. Not happy with ENT, after waiting an hour i was rushed by the doctor :-(

The hospital entrance lobby is wonderful. And during the Covid pandemic, the staff treat you with care and make you feel safe. My daughter has required several visits a week since July. What should feel like a potential terror, a hospital at this time (!) feels quit comforting and very safe. Thank you UCLA for taking good care of us and all others.

I had a very bad experience with their communication and their billing. My doctor ordered 1 MRI and they did 2 separate MRIs for me and charged me for both MRIs. After the 1st MRI in the morning, my doctor called me in the afternoon and said she didn’t need that MRI, it was the wrong one. My insurance paid for the 2nd MRI and partial of the 1st MRI (the wrong one) and UCLA still billed me another $4500 for the incorrect MRI. I tried to dispute the charge but they still made me pay for their mistakes and for the wrong MRI. Horrible! They’re just trying to take money from you. AVOID.

AVOID AT ALL COST. They billed me $75 for the SAME exact service THREE TIMES. They also billed my insurance $4000 for a lab that they never performed on me.For example, I came to an OB/GYN for a routine papsmear which should be at no cost as it was a preventative service. The doctor ordered an ultrasound for my breasts because I didnt want a mammogram. Boy, UCLA radiology department pressured me to have a mammogram even that I insisted that I was in my early 30s and didnt want it. For sure, they wanted to have a reason to bill me & my insurance for more. Then I got surprising bills after :$40 copay for my visit with the OB/GYN ( again, for a preventative papsmear which should be at no cost)$75 for that same visit for the order of breast Ultrasound$75 for the interpretation of the ultrsound result .And we are talking about an $1000 at least for each of the claim they filed to my insurance company for the same visit. So, a preventative papsmear would have cost me $3000+ had I not had my insurance.UCLA is fishy.

My family had been mistreated at UCLA Health Care System in every possible way. Misdiagnosed and used incorrect treatment which worsened condition, caused physical deformation, psychological injury and financial burden. Doctors were dismissive or arrogant/ignorant. Another family member was sent home from primary care doctors office with life threatening health issue, finally the next morning was admitted through ER. None of the involved doctors ever contacted the patients to ask how they are doing. Complaint was filed (over the phone as the Hospital recommended), never heard from them again. Double billing as the doctors office charges office visit fee, then the hospital charges hospital fee (for 15 minute primary care visit). Be aware that a simple injection from your primary care doctor might be billed as outpatient surgery with additional co-pay.

I visited here for all of my prenatal appointments and I felt like I was a Ginnie pig. Most of the time the doctor was a student learning and guessing on me. My epidural was inserted incorrectly making it stop during labor. They total disregarded my FOB (father of the baby) any questions or concerns he had .They actually prescribed meds that could have caused me to have a miscarriage!! God is so good the pharmacist caught it. UCLA is s nice looking hospital but be careful ask questions and request a certified doctor. I still had a great pregnancy and my baby is healthy and Im doing great. Praise God

Took my mom here for a transplant evaluation. The Dr was such an ass as he broke the bad news to her that he wouldnt do the transplant as he walks in doesnt introduce himself and says well what do you want me to tell you? Im not going to do a transplant you have too many complications and I sit on the board that makes the decision and I wouldnt vote for it how about easing someone into it let. So much for patients being first or having any type of compassionate care. Screw their mission statement, i dont even think they know it Another waste of talent when you have no people skills. I guess he never learned that... needless to say her nephrologist never mentioned anything negative about it, set her up for it and made her feel like she was a candidate. Ucla only cared about making sure she had 2 insurances just to be seen for the evaluation, wasted many months of time in the process and her health declined. I guess they are a business after all and do not care about helping people, only to fatten their pocket. What a disrespectful set of individuals that work there.

As far as Im concerned, no other pain doctor comes close to Dr. Prager. You can look up his impressive credentials, his education, professional alliances, his medical and surgical experience. I will relate my personal experience. When I first saw Dr. Prager, I was laying in a reclining wheelchair, shaking in pain. I had a heating pad on my abdomen and ice packs all around my pelvis. I have a severe form of interstitial cystitis (which destroys the lining of the bladder) and pudendal neuralgia, for which there is no cure and no effective treatment. I had been ill for over 15 years, gradually declining until I was bedridden for the last three years. I could not walk, sit, or even stand. The pain was relentless, day and night, and I was at the end of my rope. However, as Dr. Prager started talking, I began to feel a glimmer of hope. He really seemed to understand the kind of pain I was in, and my confidence grew as he outlined a plan that would possibly give me back my life. Out of all the doctors and specialists, and after all the failed treatments and surgeries -- Dr. Prager was the one who finally helped me.It has been more than two years since I had the surgery that gave me back my life. In November of 2012, Dr. Prager implanted an intrathecal pain pump into my abdomen. It contains a mixture of three medications which drip slowly into my spinal fluid and, to put it simply, anesthetize (deaden) the pain signals. We knew it would work because a trial with the same medications a month earlier had been an astounding success. I remember SITTING without pain for the first time in 4-5 years, and WALKING, by myself, around the nurses station at least 7 times!Today I am walking, laughing, and enjoying life. I can go places, eat at restaurants, see the latest movies. My husband and my sister, who were there during the darkest hours, cry tears of joy when they see me happy and doing things. My husband has been known to get misty-eyed simply from coming home from work and finding me in the kitchen cooking dinner.

UCLA Medical is all about Big Data, big practice, and enrolling patients into research programs to qualify for grant money. They treat patients like a number. Worst, doctors tend be on younger side, inexperienced, and run their business by the textbook. I had an inflammation on my lip and one Dr , rude and condescending as she was, suggested a biopsy. I looked outside for an older more experienced dermatologist who prescribed an antibiotic cream. In less than a week inflammation was gone. Gross bill (unadjusted) for the UCLA consultation $320, Bill for outside derm, $95. Need I say more.

Generally Excellent Care. Wife has Rheumatology care here for LUPUS (Lupus sucks) Erythmetosus for about 20 yrs. Yes they enroll in research, yes they are younger, yes they can make you feel like a number. BUT, they really know what theyre talking about or they dont do anything. Equally- or more- valuable, they bring the patient and family into the conversation and rarely make you feel insignificant. Generally, they do such a good job at helping. Heaven forbid I ever need their services, but if I do, I KNOW Ill be getting great care with alot of effort involved. Before my wifes first appt, TWO clinical professors met with 6 inches of her records for about an hour. Where else have you heard of That happening??? And yes ,being a thirty-plus-year Radiologic Technologist, I think I know from bupkiss what good care is.....
