This was the first time I had waxed EVER and it was a wonderful experience!My estheticians name was Rindo (?), she really took the time to explain everything to me and make sure I was getting what I wanted. The experience was super comfortable, NOT awkward at all.But make sure you have an appointment!

Jessica is the best, Ive only been there a couple of times and she remembered my preferences from my first visit, I like coming here because theyre great at booking short notice and are quick and efficient. Ive also been seen by another esthetician there and they have always been so pleasant and great at what they do. My compliments to the staff!

Me and my friend did our annual trip to Los Angeles a few months ago and we decided to get waxed while we were out there. We looked for places and saw how good the reviews at Wax Candy were so we decided on going there. My friend called TWICE to see if we had to make an appointment because we would rather go in without an appointment since we were meeting friends beforehand and it went to their voicemail. Wax Candy is in the middle of downtown with plenty of other places to go to so we didn’t have a problem taking a chance on not being seen so we just went there after meeting our friends. We went in and the receptionist was on the phone speaking to someone while having an obviously personal conversation. She motioned for us to sign in so we did and sat down. Other than the slight smile she gave when she motioned to us she didn’t speak a word to us or acknowledge our existence. We didn’t know how long we had to wait. After waiting there for about ten minutes we got up and told her that we were going to come back later. My friend was livid. We decided to get some food from LA Cafe and didn’t go back to Wax Candy that day. We called several times the next morning as we really wanted to get waxed before the weekend and still couldn’t reach anyone. Really weird that its so hard to reach them when the receptionist was on the phone the entire time we were there. We took our chance on another place in the area which didn’t have the good reviews that Wax Candy did but they actually picked up the phone and not only that but they greeted us when we came by and they did an amazing job on both of us.

Maria is super friendly. They dont bug you at the end to leave a tip or make another appointment. It was quick and very clean. The only negative is that there isnt any parking.

The only downside this place has is that they do not have a dedicated parking lot. Except for that, this place is great! Friendly staff always, knowledgeable about skin care and skin sensitivity, AND very reasonable prices! The place is also well clean and well lit. Of course, then there is 🍬!!

My esthetician was friendly and put me at ease for my first professional wax. The interior isnt as nice as other places (its a little echo-y) but its has personality and is comfortable. To me, thats whats important. Highly recommend this place for a hygienic, affordable wax from experienced professionals!

Rinda is my waxer and shes great. Yeah, it hurts but its tolerable; take some painkillers an hour before your appointment and it is doable. I love wax Candy; I cant imagine going any other place for my waxing needs.

I’ve been coming here for about 6 months now for brazilians and have had great experiences. I don’t have a regular waxer, but everyone so far is super nice and does a great job. Facility is cute and clean.

Clean. Good staff. Clean, important to say twice. Parking is tough. Its always tough in dtla. I believe they still offer lower paid parking at lot nearby but call to double check.

All the girls were awesome, place is clean and makes you feel comfortable . I made my appointment over the phone to secure my spot . The real challenge here is parking!! I was lucky Enough to find in front of the business but I know there is a not a lot of parking and you might need to drive around to look and find a spot.

I randomly found this waxing salon while searching on my maps so I decided to give it a go, and boy am I happy I did. I had Sarah and she did the MOST AMAZING JOB EVER!!! She was very precise and made sure not one hair was left and if there was she made sure she waxed that sucka off. Oh I forgot to mention she was super gentle and friendly. If you are looking for a not so painful waxing experience and a very good job I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND SARAH!!! Just make sure to get there on time or else youll lose your spot.

Allie was an angel throughout the whole experience! Never been there before this time and the place is really well set up! The wait wasn’t long as long as I had my appointment set up (two weeks in advance through email was very good for me). It’s important that we don’t cancel last minute because these folks work hard to get their commission. Allie herself is a very experienced and knowledgeable esthetician. Tips and advice all throughout my first time there. She was transparent all throughout her work and then sent me home with a little gift to keep. The girls there are very sweet as well as their set up- sweets available to eat! Definitely coming over again next time and bringing in a nicer tip for my girl there!

I have gone to other wax places before - some in the prestigious Beverly Hills. Day spas tend to be very typical and conservative in Los Angeles. I was refreshed to see such a hip and modern Wax spa. They played music from the 90s and the decor was very young and modern. The staff were friendly and down to earth which made the somewhat intimate event more comforting. I had Nancy as my wax specialist, she has over 5 years of experience in this field. She was nice, relaxing and humorous, which definitely helps to take away some of the pain of having your privates waxed. She did not mind the amount of hair I had or the texture. as some other specialist have in other shops. All and all I think ive found my new favorite.

I was looking for a new space to get waxing services and this space popped up in my search. It had been a moment since I had used a professional and they were super nice. Place is super clean and staff is really friendly. My waxer, helped make small talk so I was distracted enough not to feel any pain during my wax. Will most def be back! Great price and service!

It hurts!! but the real pain comes after. You need a day off to let the waxed part breath becuse it gets very irritated and anything that touches it makes it burn. The ladies are nice. Place is clean. And their prices are the most affordable around

The most unfortunate part of this business is the system they use to make appointments, or at least how mine have been made most often in the last 2-3 years I have been a regular here.It goes: I call, no answer, get text, try to make appt, no reply until I text again next day, call (more than once) to just take care of it, goes straight to voicemail, get text later confirming appt.Its just a hell of a hassle to try to make an appointment, even if it finally happens. But I keep doing it because I freaking love my waxer.

You guys need to ask for SUSAN. She is hands down theeeeeee best!!!!! I got a Brazilian wax with a lady which I don’t remember her name, but she was very rough and messy. Smh! Susan on the other hand is very gentle and doesn’t make things awkward. I live 30 mins away from downtown and I will sit in traffic just to come with Susan.

I dont know what to say. The job they did was GREAT! However, the location :/// not so good:/ theres no parking and youll probably have to park streets away. Its downtown in a sketchy area and the place barely has a sign for you to see. Inside, the walls in the rooms are so thiiiiin youll hear everyones convos

For my first time they made me relaxed and the experience as enjoyable as it it could be! You need an appointment but if you dont mind waiting theyll take walk ins Ill definitely be back there

Ok so this is not from my experience it was from my friend which is too nice to leave this comment so she was recommending me this place hardcore status and a women named SUSAN she loved her so much n been going there over 6 months and she tells me SUSAN her regular waxer cancled my friends appointment right wen she arrived n pulled her to the side telling her she will no longer be attending her because she doesnt tip her enough that is highly unprofessional she isnt entitled to tip in the first place to me thats just being money hungry she drove from Downey to Dtla to get wax by her! I kno we all have to make a living Ive worked where I get tipped n I was happy wit a 1$ because that is one more doller than I came in with. So I will not b going here because of that n Im usually a 15%or 20% tipper.

I have been getting waxed here for years. Thier prices are afforable/reasonable, and every esthetician I have had, has always been very polite and professional.
