The owner of this place was so generous with her time on the phone when I called to enquire about help with disciplining my adopted dog. Even though she couldnt offer the menu of services during Covid that would customize to my needs, she was as helpful with me on the phone as if I were a full time client needing support. I had been taking my dog to the dog park regularly to tire her out because she could run with other dogs and get exhausted without me having to exert energy to keep up with her. The advice was brilliant: do you want to condition your dog to be an athlete and require you to meet her athletic running need every day? At a park she has no discipline or structure, she can run all over the place, but if you walk her daily, you bond and you can enforce her listening to you. Im paraphrasing, but for me that was great advice and I was compelled to write this review for her generosity with her time.

I Said Sit LOST our dog. We trusted I Said Sit to care for our dog for 14 days and on the last day they took him out UNHARNESSED, a rule they demanded we follow in our training sessions with them. I Said Sit used only a collar knowing our dogs ability to slip it when reactive or scared. Our dog was found at a train station in Culver City and taken to a nearby animal shelter. I Said Sit checked the local shelters, found our dog, took a picture of him, stated he was fine and accepting treats, and stayed with him till we arrived. This is all incredibly HEARTBREAKING. Our dog was lost in an extremely busy part of town while under the care and supervision of a business we thought we could trust. Cars, trucks, buses, the 10 & 405 freeways, people, trains, and other animals…it is a miracle he was returned to us alive.1 week later and we still have not received a follow-up call from I Said Sit. If I Said Sit truly cared about the health of the animals they were trusted to care for they would have at least offered a check-up with their veterinarian or ours.It is impossible to know what our dog went through from the time he was lost by I Said Sit and the time we picked him up. Thankfully he is alive but continues to limp and is more than ever frightened by loud noises, other dogs, vehicles, and people.Yes I Said Sit refunded our money. Yes they found our dog before we returned. Yes their sincere apology was accepted. But our dog was lost. Our dog is a member of our family. Our dog is our child. At the price point we struggled to justify I Said Sit broke our hearts.

I Said Sit was great four our dog, Piper. Its so hard to socialize a puppy during a pandemic. The one on one trainman and socialization she got here was invaluable.

I had overall a negative experience here and view it more as a daycare than a training facility. Most importantly if you do not read the entire post, know that your dog will only get THIRTY minutes of training a day, despite being there for 8-10 hours on average. Below are my challenges with my expereince. I paid for a month of training sessions and boarded my dog for one week. I have also shared this with the organization.1. I think there was a poor initial assessment of Louies ability. There was not a clear list of what would be trained and the goals for training. The website listed an ambiguous lesson plan and when I asked before signing up, I recived an around about answer. I was dissapointed that the first week of him being away all day, I had no follow up to know what he was working on, progress report, how he did all day, etc. That is something that even daycare provides, yet this was a very expensive training program and I did not recieve that until the end of the first week. Poor communication.2. It was incredibly frustrating to learn toward the end of the month of training, that he only recieve THIRTY minutes of individual training each day. This was not advertised and I would not have selected this program if I knew that. I essentially paid for daycare. My dog picks up commands incredibly fast and if even an hour was spent with each dog daily which is not unreasonable (out of an average of 8 -10 hours of being with there), the amount of learning that could have been done would likely be cut in half. It seems to me that there is the goal of having more dogs to make profit with less attention, rather than the goal of actually training each dog.3. I felt nickel and dimed - If I asked ahed of time to move a 1:1 session to another time that also worked for the trainer, I was told that I would be charged $25. After spending over $3,000, this is aboslutely ridiculous. I had final presentations for school and had to prioritize that for the day at the last minute. Luckily I had this charge removed.4. . While Louie was boarded, I had to ask for updates, although I paid for them ahead of time. I have no way of knowing if the other extras I paid for took place, such as the walk, extra treats, brushing out, extra training time, etc. Essentially I paid over $100 extra for nothing that I can confirm even took place.5. Walking on leash was not introduced - I paid for two, two week programs back to back. Im shocked that when I boarded him for a week and requested an extra walk, that I was told he hadnt done any walk training before that and therefore it would have to be done with a trainer. How in one month of being there virtually all day, did he not do any walk training, while it is known that I am already taking him on walks at home?6. Come and Stay with distractions - We are still struggling with this at home. Considering he picked these commands up in 15 minutes of training with me before I brought him to school, I am confused why this was not focused on at school. I do not beleive it was too advanced.

We took our puppy there for the 20 day daycare training class with Ernie and are so happy with the results! Not only did our pup learn the obedience basics, but we were able to advance her into some more complex lessons. Definitely worth the price to help build the fundamentals for our long term relationship

The best investment I could have made for me and my dog ♡ Everyone is friendly, the trainers are all great -shout out to our trainer Janet. My puppy is happy and well trained -everywhere we go people remark what a good boy he is. And most importantly he loves it there. It makes my day when I drop him off and he can barely contain his excitement -tail wagging 100mph. Would do it all again in a heartbeat if I get another dog. Worth every penny.

Im really impressed both with I Said Sits expertise and also their customer service. They responded to my initial email incredibly quickly and then also really helped me a lot.I never thought Id need help with dog behavior issues. I have always had great success training pets on my own. I even trained my cat to sit, stay and come! However, I hit a wall and needed real help with an aggressive dog. I Said Sit gave me some really helpful and valuable advice. I really appreciate their help and highly recommend them!

Janet is amazing. She helped us so much with our timid, reactive dog. He made so much progress with just 9 private lessons. Not only did she train our dog to be a good boy, she trained us to be better owners.

I have a 3 year old Yorkie Mix rescue dog who used to be a hot mess. He had lots of anxiety when I went to work, he was dog reactive and fearful of people. The owner of I Said Sit kindly walked me through the process to get started, and she was very blunt when she said I would need to make some changes to our daily routine, and that it wouldnt be a quick fix. That was two years ago. After doing a month-long day care training program with the trainer Janet, I noticed progress. I didnt keep the work going on my own though, and it regressed. Because of my own undoing, it wasnt money well spent. Six months later I returned, once again worked with Janet for a couple of months, and I set aside what I thought I knew from growing up with other normal dogs.THAT, was the best money Ive ever spent (not counting Amazon Prime, LOL).I wouldnt say that they fixed my dog, but Id say that they helped lay the foundation and taught me how to keep it going. He no longer has the anxiety issue, no longer has dog reactivity, and he has a growing trust of strangers. I still heed Janets instruction though, and I will never put him into a situation where strangers are allowed to invade his space.

Top quality dog obedience school but you will have to pay a pretty penny for it. I adjusted my budget just to afford this school and paid more here than my rent during training but I was desperate for quality dog help. And they really helped. I moved into a west side apartment with a 13 year old beagle who lived her entire life in a home with a yard and she was not happy with me at all. She had extreme separation anxiety and literally needed to be watched constantly. After 1.5 months of daycare and private training with I Said Sit, my beagle was crate-trained and clicker trained-- both of which wed never done before. Shes not perfect-- dog training requires a lot of work on the owners end too-- but shes made huge huge strides. Were going back to do nose work!Big shoutout to Noah the dog trainer, who weve worked with the most so far. He always made me feel like we were moving forward with training and was great about trying different approaches if one wasnt working.

We first enrolled our puppy here when she was 8 weeks old. We signed up for the puppy manners class, a 6 week program that teaches the very basics. IT WAS SO HELPFUL. Everyone at the school is incredibly warm, friendly and so knowledgable. You really feel like you and your dog are in capable hands. Our dog absolutely LOVES it there, her tail goes crazy - shes since stayed overnight once, and has just completed a day training program where she learned sit, stay, loose leash walking and how to be more focused in general. The difference is amazing. We will definitely be taking more classes. We cant recommend this school enough!

This had to be the worst investment I have ever made the only thing they do right is tell you about the easy leader to walk your dog other than that the only other thingis write notes for half hour of your training to give to you to take home ;so notes and info on leash to walk dog will cost you 700 dollars I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone
