They’ve been very helpful throughout the years in helping my father with his ongoing condition. I can’t recommend these guys enough. Whether it’s the actual care, billing, insurance, getting medications, they’ve always done a great job. One of the best in the areas.

From what I’ve seen, they follow all covid protocols. Wore masks, office was clean, minimal wait times. Felt safe with my recent visit. If I could give them a better rating, I would.

Very compassionate to new patients. Came in for the first time and he was very thorough with the exam. Took the time to explain everything. Some of the best doctors and staff here. Would recommend them to anyone.

Dr. K is the best! I’ve seen one other urologist, but always like my interactions with him. Parking is never an issue ere. They’re always fast to get me in. People working the phones always get back to me quick when I call in with questions.

Everyone here’s very professional. They take the time to explain all the procedures and options. I feel that they’re very thorough. The staff is very efficient and got my medications called into the pharmacy pretty quick. A+ service.

I came to the office just to get my fathers records, but I thoroughly impressed with the office front desk staff. My father was no longer a patient due his doctor leaving the practice, but they went out of there way to make him feel comfortable. Without hesitation they answered my questions and giving us information about their practice. This is complete reflection on the leadership of the staff. If only our healthcare system would have allow my father to continue to be a patient at this practice. I would have felt comfortable with the care he was getting and the care the staff was to getting him to improve in his overall health.

If I could rate them 10 out of 5, I would. First, Angie in scheduling is AMAZING and so caring!!! She helped my husband get in to see Dr. Shah incredibly quickly (the next day) for his first appointment when I explained what was going on medically. She really went WAY out of her way to help us and we are sooooo grateful to her!!!!!Dr. Milan Shah saw us on time for our appointment. He was pleasant, listened carefully, and answered lots of questions for us. He also put my husband at ease and made him feel that he was in capable and competent hands.At the end of our appointment, Augustine went out of his way to help us get the soonest follow-up appointment that he could find. He was so nice!!!Then, yesterday, my husband urgently needed a replacement part for a medical device. I submitted a request through the patient portal and Dan Lim called me in just a few minutes to let me know that he had the piece in their office and we could stop by and pick it up whenever we were available. My husband drove over and picked it up right away (to our great relief!). And while my husband was there, Dan was able to move my husbands next appointment a whole week sooner (also a huge relief to us!).Everyone at this office seems to work in the medical field for all of the right reasons. We couldnt be happier to be working with this office and I wish all doctors offices were this efficient and caring. We are looking forward to getting my husbands issues fully resolved with Dr. Shahs help.

I am a recently new patient of Dr. Kowalczyk and this urologist group. My first visit with Dr. K was very informative, thorough, and he took the time needed to make sure that I was completely understanding of the procedure.Since the appointment, I am now prepared for the procedure and the staff from Dan to Esther have made this process seem very painless and easy for me.My surgery is in two weeks and my confidence level is very high that I am going to be in wonderful hands.Thank you so much for everything to all of you!

I really am pleased with Urology Group of SC and specifically Dr. Shah he was very understanding explained my procedure so that I was comfortable with the process would definitely recommend him and his practice for kidney stones and 6 months after the surgery I am still stone free.

Terrible front desk service, I called multiple times and even had my insurance provider give them a call to try to get an appointment scheduled and they simply did not pick up, they didn’t answer any of the voicemails I left and even faxed over my documents. I went in person in hopes of getting some sort of attention in order to make an appointment and the receptionists did nothing to provide assistance so I simply left (I stood there for about 20 minutes).

I tried to call to set up an appointment as a new patient with a PPO plan at this office. My insurance company referred this office and confirmed I was in network. The front office receptionist who took my call, Angie, was extremely rude and said she couldnt find my insurance covered. I gave her all of my plan information including provider phone number. I let her know that usually with my previous experience making appointments if she was having trouble finding my policy that she could call my insurance company to confirm I was covered as I had just spoke to them. She was very rude, refused to check with my insurance saying We dont do that here.. Im very glad I had this experience actually because I do not want to have any kind of medical care through an office that shows that kind of lack of care and negligence. Very poor and troubling experience. I called my insurance company back and they confirmed that most providers do not behave in this manner, as my previous experience I hadnt experienced this before either. In my opinion people like this should not be answering the phones to set up appointments with patients.

I have been a patient of Dr. K for over 10 years. He is one of the best if not THE best urologist in the country. He his dedicated to his patients, his practice and the medical community. In a country where medical care is a hot button issue, Dr. is like the proverbial family doctor of days gone by. He cares and always there for his patients. His involvement in continuing education and the medical community is comforting and second to none!

My experience was with the downtown office on Wilshire and said experience was horrific. First off, the office is in a dumpy, seemingly badly managed medical building near the hospital. When I arrived they asked for a $30 co-pay. Not a problem except recently I hadnt been asked for a co-pay at specialists offices so I just asked the woman handling it if she could double check or bill the insurance company. She said No we dont do that here, it says $30 on your card. I can check again but itll probably be more. I informed her the $30 was for my primary care doctor, not specialists. She came back asking for $55. Nice of her to honor the original amount she quoted me at huh? A short time later a nurse came through the door and, Im not joking or exaggerating here, said TODD?! Give me your urine sample. In front of the whole office, no hello, no explanation, just GIVE ME YOUR SAMPLE. The bathroom I was directed to was FILTHY. Paper towels everywhere. Toilet hadnt been flushed. I looked around for where to leave my sample that was so publicly ordered but there was no place to put it. So I poked my head out of the door and asked where I should leave my sample. The front desk guy said, Oh here is fine. As in...on the reception desk. I refused. The same nurse came back and BARE-HAND grabbed my urine sample. She led me to a room where I remarked, Not a lot of privacy in this office huh? To which she responded with a very sassy and eye-rolled REALLY?! and walked away. When the doctor came in, problems got worse. Seriously. Dr. SAGIE DE GUZMAN barely listened. Kept asking the same questions over and over. Never looked me in the eye but had no problem hurting my stomach when he examined me DESPITE the fact that I had told him I had surgery two weeks prior and to please be gentle. He just didnt listen. I was told to wait in the room for a nurse to come and draw blood. 30 minutes later she walks in and hands me a Quest Lab order because my insurance doesnt cover in office labs. Im sure... I told them they could call me with my lab results because I would never be returning to this hellscape of a doctors office where privacy is something unlearned and listening takes a back seat.

This establishment is UNACCEPTABLE in its practices. My daughter and Dr John Kowalczyks PA and staff are clearly not a good fit. This is of a URGENT matter as she has had numerous urinary tract infections and sub-par treatment. We have an appointment pending at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. We just dropped off the signed release form and were told its a 2 week wait for her medical records. The CHLA representative also politely call and was told the same. I would be happy to pay any cost to expedite her records instead we are in the back of the line. Maybe the reason they are behind and inundated with record request is because I am not the only dissatisfied client.
