Dr. Louie and his staff are everything I was looking for in a dental office. I have always had bad anxiety when it came to seeing the dentist but the minute I walked into the office, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Louie himself is very kind and caring and understanding and put me at ease right away. Everyone who works there has always been lovely and warm. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. I can’t thank Dr. Louie enough for helping me through my issues and regain my health. Most importantly for erasing all anxiety I have when it comes to dentists.

After some years of neglect, I went to Dr. Louie on the basis of a referral from my wife. It was during the COVID lock down, but Dr. Louie was able to see me and take care of a painful tooth. I needed quite a bit of work done and Dr. Louie and his entire team did an excellent job. I appreciated Dr. Louie’s phone calls after procedures to check on my condition. Their team is most knowledgeable and friendly dentist team I have ever encountered. Which made a somewhat difficult situation much easier to deal with. Everyone from the scheduler to the dental hygienists and doctors were excellent.

Let me begin by saying that I am terrified of the dentist. I hadnt been to DDS in years. However, Dr. Louie went detailed through all of my teeth, and broke down the good and the needs improvement.It was actually a great education for me that I received. Yes, I need to come back to get some work, but I am relieved to be working towards getting my dental health addressed and fixed up by a nice dental office.

My first visit to Dr. Louie’s clinic and had a great experience. The team here is outstanding and friendly, kind, and thorough. You can see that dentistry is really taken serously here. My teeth look fantastic and it is reassuring to know that I can reach out to them if there is a concern.

Dr. Louie is wonderful. Hes the first dentist Ive found in LA that I trust completely. I have cleanings every four months and have had a few fillings. One tooth almost needed a crown but he was able to do a filling instead. Hes extremely patient, thorough, and knowledgable. I usually get my teeth cleaned with Sherry, the dental hygienist, and shes amazing— quick and gentle. The office is clean and inviting and his staff is very professional. Highly recommend.

Dr. Louie is my hero! He literally saved the day when others had not stepped up. I came to him after having unaligned teeth due to orthodontic shaving. I have enjoyed getting my oral and dental healthcare at Dr. Louie’s practice for over five years now. The administrative staff is friendly and attentive, the hygienist is thorough and gentle, and Dr. Louie could not be more caring and professional. I’m consistently impressed with the service and quality of care. Today following a routine cleaning, Dr. Louie noticed a tiny cavity that might be missed by some others—it lacked an entry point and only appeared as a gray area under the enamel of one of my teeth. He immediately offered to fill it on the spot to save me another trip to the office. I had the time, and it was quick and painless. He always asks about my family and personal life to remind me that he sees me as a whole person, not just a mouth and set of teeth. My husband, who had a history of oral and dental issues I thankfully have not had to deal with personally, had also been seeing Dr. Louie and his oral health has improved markedly in the years since treatment started. I’m genuinely grateful for all the care I receive at this office. They strive for the best and hit the mark every time.

I Hated Dentists growing up, since I had braces for about 5 years. I waited a long time going back to manage my teeth and took a gamble on Dr. Shervin based on his ratings and stellar reviews.It wasnt an easy decision but I was more than happy that I finally decided to take care of my teeth. Ive been a patient here for many years and have decided to stop coming here. The last straw for me was a botched filling procedure done in March. I had experienced no pain whatsoever in any teeth before, but directly after this procedure, I started feeling intense, relentless pain in one of my molars. An emergency appointment elsewhere later revealed I had a too-large filling that had caused the nerves inside to die. Although I am only in my 20s, I needed a (very expensive) root canal and crown replacement. I emailed the office explaining why I was leaving, but did not even receive the dignity of the simplest apology.Additionally, over the years, I increasingly felt uncomfortable in Dr. Louies presence. I always got the sense that he was condescending and did everything in the name of pursuing profit or a glowing reputation.I am not the kind of person to write reviews online often. I am so strongly dissatisfied with the care that I felt it would be a disservice to customers to keep this to myself.

Dr. Louie and staff blew my mind today! Ive been searching for a great cosmetic dentist and got a recommendation from my friend Alan who has the most delicious, endearing and gorgeous smile. Everyone at the office was so lovely and I can honestly say that for the first time I feel my smile is in good hands. Dr. Louie has a very calming chairside manner, a friendly personality and mad skills - exactly what you want in the person who has their hands and sharp instruments in your mouth.

Ive been using this practice for over 20 years. Sherry has been my hygienist for the entire time. I feel like shes family. Dental visits can be a stressful situation but Sherry and everyone else makes each visit as stress-free as possible. Both Dr. Louie and Dr. Scott are meticulous in their examinations and never rush to judgment. When a procedure does need to be performed, they are excellent at explaining every step. I enjoy my visits very much and have a much healthier mouth because of them.

Dr. Shervin and his wonderful team are experts! They treat you like family! They answer all questions you have and they really want your teeth to look good as if it were their own. Dr. Louie is simply a wonderful professional. About 3 years ago I got veneers done in Spain. They are extremely thick, opaque and shaped in a way that is unflattering to my face. I cant afford new ones at the moment but I was looking for a way to fix the ones I currently have because being so dissatisfied with my mouth was emotionally impacting my personal and professional life. I found Dr. Louie online, saw his great reviews and decided to get an appointment. And I just couldnt be happier. He completely understood my situation and worked with me so we could redesign my smile just by shaving some of the veneers. The result was amazing. Huge improvement. He has a fantastic eye and knows exactly what needs to be done. When he does cosmetic work, he not only evaluates your teeth and the way the veneers (or crowns or whatever the treatment) would fit your mouth, but he also analyzes the way they suit your whole face, something which I feel is often overlooked but its so crucial.In addition to this, the staff is absolutely sweet and friendly and they make you feel completely at home. I kind of felt like I didnt want to leave and just wanted to stay and hang out. Lovely people and amazing professionals.

Dr. Louie has been my dentist since I came to LA 18 years ago! For a long time his office was right near my house...but then I moved several freeway drives away. I thought that maybe I should try a dentist closer to home, just for traffics sake. Big mistake. I went to two different dentists and realized that no dentist in LA compares to Dr. Louie. Hes worth the trip. Hes top notch, trustworthy and friendly and has helped me through everything from routine cleanings to root canals. His staff is great. The hygienists are knowledgeable and professional. The administrative staff is so friendly - Ive never had better customer service anywhere. Also their new office is beautiful.

I have been to many dentists in my life but Dr. Louie sets the bar way up high and for long as I live, I will always go to him and make sure my family and friends do as well. A good dentist has to have two essential traits: (1) technical expertise; and (2) a keen aesthetic eye. Dr. Louie teaches at one of the top dental schools in the country (where he also graduated from) and is an expert on all matters related to dentistry including the latest techniques and advances (which is so important as technology updates on a faster basis than ever before). Then, he really is an artist when it comes to making the teeth look as beautiful as possible - our smiles are so important, they are the first thing that people see - and he is able to design and create a beautiful smile that looks perfect but natural. On top of that, he is one of the kindest and most genuinely standup professionals I have had the pleasure to work with (a true gentleman and family man) and he has a gentle hand...very important to someone like me who is a baby about pain. Go to Dr. Louie, you will never go elsewhere again!

I just completed a long procedure for an implant. The implant was in the front of my mouth. The Doctors were fantastic, professional, and very kind. The nurses and staff where wonderful. Never once during a procedure, which included extraction, bone graft, and implant did I ever feel pain or even discomfort. The entire experience was extraordinary and my teeth have never looked better.

I broke a tooth Sunday night. Not being from here, I did not know who to go see. A co-worker uses Dr. Louie and thinks the world of him. I called today and they got me in. They took x-rays, Dr. Louie examined me, and they laid out all my options with financial responsibility. I made a decision and they got started right away. I am not embarrassed to go to work tomorrow missing a tooth. I have a couple more trips to complete the procedure but Dr. Louie and his staff are all wonderful, very accommodating, and concerned with your comfort.

Dr Louie took over the practice of my longtime fave dentist (and friend) Constantine Aronis. It was a hard act to follow, and I was sorry to see Dr C retire. But I have been very happy with the quality of service and work from everyone that I come in contact with. All the hygienists are awesome, as is the admin support staff and Dr Shervin himself. It is easy to trust him and the people he chooses.

I am so glad that I found this dental office. I moved to LA a couple years ago and was scared and intimidated to look around for a new dentist but am so happy that I chose Dr. Louie. His office took care of my wisdom teeth extractions (my first surgery ever) and they handled it with so much ease and comfort that I was in and out in an hour. Their dental hygienist is also amazing and she helped guide me to healthy gums and teeth. I will be coming back to Dr. Louie for years to come and have already referred several people to his office. I actually love going in to have my teeth cleaned by Sherri! She is gentle and thorough and just a wonderful person. I had xrays taken by Alison who was fast and encouraging to help me over the gag reflex reaction I get with those back teeth xrays. And I saw Dr. Louie for a consultation about a few issues. He was patient, spent time answering all my questions and provided me with additional information. The front desk is kind and efficient. A great office and experience!

I was referred to Dr. Louie by a colleague because I need to be seen ASAP. Not only did his office get me in right away, but he took care of the issue quickly. Dr. Louie is simply wonderful! Professional, understanding, and helpful. I told him about the problem I was having and he was able to asses things and take care of it right away. He also followed up with a phone call to make sure I was healing. Without a doubt, one of the most painless procedures Ive ever had at the dentist. The office itself is really nice and incredibly clean. The chairs are super comfy and even have heaters and back massagers. It almost felt a bit like a spa day, not like I was having fillings done. Besides Dr. Louie, the office staff also makes the appointment wonderfully pleasant. They are so sweet, helpful, and kind. Its clear that your comfort and happiness is their priority. You feel like youre in good hands the whole time youre there. Ive also gone back to Dr. Louie for teeth whitening. Their in-office Zoom Bleaching was so easy and incredibly effective. I saw results right away. All in all, I highly recommend Dr. Louie. Ive been in LA for awhile now and Ive never been happy with with a DDS until now.

Dr Louie and his staff are all so friendly and caring. My family and I have been patients for many years and I always recommend Dr Louie to all of my friends. He is virtually painless and does an excellent job. I have had fillings and crowns put in and havent had a problem. Same with my husband, father, mother, sister and brother! Dr. Shervin Louie is not just a skilled and fabulous dentist, hes a lifesaver! I came in because I wanted to find a better dentist to take care of my routine dental needs after having negative experiences with a previous HMO dental group with a bad bedside manner. Dr. Louie and his staff took great care of me from the get go. He also realized that my prior dentist had committed a serious error, borderline malpractice, by charging me for dental work but not actually treating a cavity that had been there for some time. Dr. Louie helped me secure a full refund from the dentist (and a sincere apology over the phone!) and also took care of that cavity ASAP. Even better, he treats his staff and patients with respect, a quality thats hard to find in a health services professional. Overall, hes got great credentials, a beautiful office, and is just really really nice. I would recommend him to anyone!

Went in for an emergency root canal and was terrified of what to expect. Like a lot of people, Ive never been a fan of going to the dentist. In fact, it scares me beyond belief, but I have to say the experience that I had with Dr. Louie and his staff may have changed that for the better.While I was panicked about the procedure and how I was going to handle it, Dr. Louie sat with me and very succinctly talked me through it. He made me feel as though I was in complete control (which for me was huge). He and his staff (from the receptionists to his assistants) made the event as effortless as possible.Thank you Dr. Louie, and your entire staff, for your care and devotion to your patients.

I was going to wax eloquent about the great service Dr. Louie did me by introducing me to the idea of a mouth appliance to treat my sleep apnea - which has greatly changed my life for the better-- not to mention the wonderful Sherry and the many years I have been going to her for dental cleaning - and, of course, the entire staff who are friendly, well-informed and a true pleasure -- but let me add even more praise for helping me with a broken tooth today, on very short notice, which revealed some larger issues with which I had to deal and doing so in a pleasant, efficient and most professional manner. I recently moved to LA from NYC so I was in need of a new dentist, and without a doubt Smile in LA is the best. Dr. Louie is wonderful. He explains things very clearly, listens and cares about his patients. He rearranged his schedule to see me on Friday, and he called to make sure I was ok when I got home. And the dental work is excellent.Dr. Naiman is great as well. She was thorough, making sure my two crowns fit perfectly. The assistants, Len, Dr. Louies niece and another woman whose name escapes me are very nice and patient. And Angie and Kirsten are wonderful; very cheery and will help you with all the paperwork. Lastly, Dr. Matsunaga, who works with Dr. Louie as an anesthesiologist (if you decide to go that route) is great. Very thorough and funny. And shell call and text to make sure youre doing well before and after your visit. Smile in LA really is the best. Highly recommended.

Where can i even begin......Dr. Louie is simply wonderful !!! I magically found him on a google one day looking for cosmetic dentistry and he was one of the top ones to pop up. Checking his reviews, everyone claimed him to be wonderful so i decided to check him out.I am a 18 year old girl with still a lot of baby teeth (maybe 6? strange, i know) and i had always been very insecure about my smile, as my smile was very gummy and my teeth made my smile look very awkward. Dr. Louie listened to my concerns and had gave me multiple options of either implants or porcelain veneers, and suggested that i get veneers as he believed that was the best option. Veneers were quite expensive, but Dr. Louie had helped me out TREMENDOUSLY financially. He is amazing and without his help and skills, i would not be able to have these beautiful teeth i now have!! My teeth now look so natural and perfect, and i get compliments everywhere i go on them! I feel so much more confident and it is all thanks to dr. louie and his amazing staff (who are all so so so so nice)

The short review: these are great guys. go to them immediately, even if your teeth are perfect, just go to enjoy their view.the longer review: its odd that five stars should mean loved it when youre talking about a dentist appointment since visits to the dentist are commonly regarded as torture. but thats not why i didnt go for 20 years. whos got the time? not me. it was gonna be a financial burden too. also with me, unless im crippled with excruciating pain that makes my eyeballs bleed out of my skull, i dont do anything about anything. then last year i got married and thats what got me thinking if i dont do something about my teeth soon, i may get pregnant and then ill have the best excuse of all (babies, the ultimate time and money drain) to NEVER do anything about the horrific state of my mouth. 20 years of abuse, you can imagine.i was apprehensive about two things going in:1. was i going to be judged about the horribleness of my teeth?2. how much was it going to hurt?here are the answers:1. these guys arent judgmental at all. i guess if youre the type to act judgy, you should find another line of work. everyone there is fun, adorable, sweet and do their best to talk you out of anxiety (mine was pretty high).2. the stuff i thought was going to hurt didnt and the stuff that hurt didnt hurt that much. i dont think my pain tolerance is high. anyway, dr. louie numbed basically my entire head so i didnt really feel much aside from pressure. lots of pressure. its an odd feeling - not exactly pain. dont let fear of pain keep you away from the dentist, especially this guy. dr. louie has a well practiced hand; gentle but firm and he asks for constant feedback and gives it, too.its about as ideal a setting for a dentist visit as youre likely to get. and if youre still afraid of pain i think they can dope you up, too. for me i probably couldve done with something to ease the tension like a couple tequila shots, but it went away soon enough. the not knowing was the worst part.
