How wonderful of a company! It was New Year’s Day and I had gotten my family tickets to the Blossoms of Light. My step mother is under going chemotherapy, she just had a treatment the day before and wasn’t really feeling up to walking all around the gardens. I had called everywhere looking to rent or even buy, just so she could attend. Ron called me back and explained he wasn’t open- with it being a holiday, but he happened to have a rental chair at his home that I could use. He was incredibly flexible with pick up and drop off and even offered to bring it to me- same day! What a generous and helpful company. Thank you! You truly started my step mother’s new year on a high note! Will recommend!

Thanks for these reviews of Colorado Wheelchair and Ron. I wish we would have read through these before choosing to go with Colorado Wheelchair. Initially, Ron was very helpful-provided information and insight to products; we were so happy to find someone in CO who could provide support-weve not had good luck with similar companies that are out of state and weve been purchasing scooters for eight years. The delivery of the new battery, according to Ron, was what held up the delivery of the new scooter. He assured my husband that he would call when the new battery arrived, but he did not call; my husband had to contact Ron to find out the battery had been delivered to Ron. My husband waited an extra week to get this new scooter-never a good situation, having to wait when you need a scooter. Ron also gave my husband the window for delivery today, noting he would call this morning to let my husband know when he was on the way. He did not call; my husband texted Ron to ask for an update and to find out when Ron would be here.Today, delivery day, Ron called my husband to ask where we were located; his Google app took Ron to the wrong address. My husband said that Ron was curt, acting like it was my husbands fault that he was at the wrong house. What happened when Ron arrived at the house is what made me physically sick and so frustrated. Ron pulled up to the house; he dropped off the scooter and the battery on our front step while my husband was waiting inside the front door with the screen door open-on a scooter, as he cant walk. Ron looked at my husband and said, Heres your scooter, walked back to his car, got in, and drove away. Im glad there was someone here to bring in the scooter in for my husband. Although what happened at the front door is what finally sent us over the edge, the customer experience throughout this time is the primary reason we would not recommend Ron or Colorado Wheelchair. Ron, youre dealing with handicapped people here, who have specific needs-especially your understanding and empathy. I would advocate for you participating in some learning opportunities as they relate to working with and serving handicapped people. One of your responses to another individuals Google review had to do with keeping a smile on your face while customers abused you. I watched you come and go to your car twice today and not once did I see a smile or hear a kind word from you-in fact, all I heard was, Heres your scooter. The service you provide is so important and necessary-hopefully, you will learn that your engagement and interactions with others are equally, if not more, important to the customer experience-and to the feelings of the customer. Ron was extremely helpful when I called for repair on my mobility scooter. Even though I didnt buy my scooter from him he went the extra mile in helping me determine what was wrong with my scooter. He will get all of my business in the future and I recommend him!

Honest, local business. Ron is always looking for opportunities to lend neighbors a hand in the community and is extremely knowledgable in anything from industry innovations to accessibility law.

My mother is an 90 year old women that hired Ron, for $160, for an evaluation of her abilities/disabilities of her home environment and other stated usages she desired. Not knowing anything about all the mobility devices this was a great solution to have a expert help us. Ron agreed and said that was what his company was all about. After doing the evaluation he recommended a power wheelchair and she declined the chair. So he sold here a scooter that doesnt meet her needs. A good respectable salesperson would have done the evaluation and if the customer didnt agree with his decision he would explain that he couldnt sell her the scooter because it wasnt his original or best recommendation for her. He could of offered another option, as in one of his rental scooters so she could see how A Lot of maneuvering back and forth wasnt what she wanted. Unlike a chair that could just drive straight into a small space. Now she is stuck with a scooter, and he saying that he read and she signed a contract with him.She does not recall him doing that or signing anything. Ron so far hasnt been able to give us a copy of the signed contract. He now claiming that she crashed it and it is broken. Not true, It quit running because she was going across grass and the motor and electrical system has a safely feature that will turn it off if there is strain on the motor to prevent harm to the motor and electrical system. Reset it working great! She called him and became very Rude to her. I called later and he threaten to take us to court if we posted any bad reviews on his company.....Very Rude person! Wouldnt recommend doing business with him. She wouldnt have bought the electric chair at that time, but for sure when she wants one, it will not be bought from him.

We live outside Rocky Mountain National Park on the west side, near Grand Lake. Ron has come to our home several times to service and to measure my husband for a new wheelchair, which he now has and enjoys. Recently, I contacted Ron about a new transport chair for an upcoming trip we are taking. Ron gave me all the info I needed to order the chair he recommended. If he could have beat the online price, he would have ordered and delivered the chair himself. He is always very helpful, professional and a caring person. He really knows his business also and I trust his judgement and recommendations. Anyone who is in need of any kind of wheelchair, we would highly recommend Ron.

I couldn’t be more impressed with Ron and his customer service. I am a double amputee and my powerchair is my lifeline, so it devastated me when it stopped working. After calling several places, I connected with Ron and he was patient, kind, and genuinely concerned with my situation. He discussed many options for obtaining a new chair, as well as some insurance coverage options that I didn’t even realize I had! What a blessing!! I feel so much better:) Thanks Ron!!

I had engaged Ron to come out and advise my friend and her partner for the purchase of an electric wheelchair or scooter. They were wanting to deal with a local professional instead of making a large purchase online. I had accurately described the intended use. I also advised Ron that her partner was a techie and opposed lead acid batteries. When it came time to talk about batteries in the products he would be proposing, he spoke of AGM and Gel batteries. My friends partner quickly pointed out that AGM and Gel batteries are in fact lead-acid batteries.I had agreed to the terms of having him come out for the evaluation which included a $185 charge if we did not buy from him. He assured me that he had products between $1500 and $3200 that did not have lead-acid batteries (we havent used lead acid in years he said). When i pointed this out, he graciously acknowledged to my friends partner that he learned something about batteries, graciously agreed to waive the $185 fee and not so graciously called me abusive and that HE chooses who he deals with.Apparently an assertive competent female is abusive.Afterwards we discussed what he told us. While much of it was accurate, much of it was not accurate at all. We were looking for a knowledgeable professional with solid advice and the ability to stand behind a purchase and were disappointed.

Called a few times to see about renting a wheel chair for my grandpa who comes to town. If and when I was ever called back the gentleman was very rude. I felt like he talked to me like I was a child and didnt know anything. I highly suggest no one do business with this company if they treat their potential customers this way.
