Some staff mean well (not reception, theyre awful), but they just refuse to coordinate with your other providers to ensure you get the help you actually need and not just the help they alone think you need.

My girlfriend and I decided to try couples therapy. I dont have much experience with therapy so she warned me that I meet feel attacked and I thought I had prepared myself for it. The therapist started off by telling me that I needed to be more understanding and patient. Ok? I havent even said anything yet but my gf is pregnant so I get it. Then she asked us whats been going on and I wish I had said more because that was the last time I was allowed to speak. It was an hour session and I wasnt addressed again or asked my point of view. I tried to defend myself a couple times but was immediately dismissed by the therapist who directed the conversation back to my girlfriend. The last straw was afterwards when she pulled my girlfriend aside and told her to leave me. Based on what? The 5-10 mins I was allowed to speak? Luckily my girlfriend also recognized that she was biased and taking a side. Which is completely unprofessional and does no good in therapy. She decided we would go somewhere else. I didnt even have to say anything to her

I love the staff and doctors here! They’ve always been very flexible and you can tell that they truly care about your health. I was referred here by my school and would recommend it to everyone!

Im putting 3 stars for the simple fact, I LOVE Kristin. Kristin has been an amazing therapist and really listens to what is going on with me. She understands Im a visual learner and really helps me. What really ticked me off was the med management doctor, Lisa Young. I called LIKE I SHOULD, to let the receptionist know I may be late, I was just letting them know and the receptionist told me that I would have to reschedule if I was going to be late. Mind you I already had to wait multiple weeks to get into Lisa in the first place and I wasnt even late in the first place it was a heads up. The patient rights and responsibilities I HAD to sign, states if Im more than 15 minutes late then I have to reschedule. Why is these doctors not being held to the same standard I am. I feel bad because I yelled at the receptionist, but I also explained I have had to tell and cry to Lisas supposed assistant because they refuse to listen when I talked calmly and told them I needed help with my anxiety and depression with everything going on in the world. I should not have talked to the receptionist that way. When I got in there Lisa Young talked down to me, lectured me, and told me I was a bad mom for talking. I am a loud person in general I talk loud but I did not yell at her until she decided she wanted to talk to me about how to parent my child. I told her I had already talked to her assistant at this place and she had NO IDEA! Her assistant told me to take my medication even though I had hives, Lisa said she never told anyone to advise me of that and I shouldnt have done that. So Im annoyed that she didnt take the time to look at my file to know Ive done what I am supposed to as a patient but she is VERY negligent as a provider and didnt even look at my file before the appointment. When I told her no one wants to listen to whats going on with me, I had to give up my sons cat because I ended allergic, she wanted to just roll her eyes. She refuses to come into the office due to COVID which is fine because shes older and is worried about catching it, but gets annoyed I have to bring my son. She sat in the office trying to lecture me, Im there for 15 min. to take meds with you, NOT BE LECTURED. She told me in the first appointment This is med management I dont talk about problems. She said shes straight and to the point. Which I thought would be a good fit, she sat in the office saying How dare you yell at me in front of your son. I wasnt even yelling I talk loud and you had the speakers on your HOME computer on to high. If you are seeking medication and WANT to be talked to like that thats fine but I DO NOT advise ANYONE to go to Lisa Young. Blue Valley will stand up for her and justify her actions but it doesnt cut it.I taught my son that just because you have a doctorate degree does not mean you can talk down to me, and it does not mean I have to sit there and take it. The way I see it Lisa cares more about drama in the office then figuring out why Im behaving the way I am. I DO RECOMMEND KRISTIN!

Receptionist refused to make an appointment for my fiance because she could neither confirm or deny he is a client. Nothing in HIPAA says you cannot schedule an appointment. He is not capable of making his own decisions due to mental health. I explained this to her and she wanted to speak to him. So lets let someone who needs your help maybe kill themselves because you can neither confirm or deny.... Good thing the other doctors office can just make an appointment.

👎😑🙅‍♀️I can’t remember the name of the lady that you see for your medications but she was over medicating me to the point I couldn’t take care of my kids. When I brought this up to her she said “It’s better than feeling suicidal.”. I stopped going to therapy and stopped my meds. Wound up in the hospital because of my depression getting so bad, then my mom set me up with Alivation health. Best place ever. I also have a family friend that was over medicated by this lady too.
