This place is amazing! everyone was so nice Ive only gone ones but I am definitely looking forward to going back! these people actually care about you and they are going to give you the best treatment that fits your needs Also they take the time out to read your chart I was so blown Away with the hospitality! I saw a young man doing therapy with this couple he had them laughing but also helping them get back on their feet and the doctors are so so great!!! at what they do I cant thank them enough!!!

From the moment I stepped into the office everyone was polite professional and helpful. The front desk ladies are polite and friendly! Diligently checked me in . I enjoyed the visit. Even though I was in some discomfort. As far as the doctors performance that leaves a lot to be desired. I went there knowing I had a broken knee cap. Once the doctor saw the MRI he showed it to me on his laptop and that was the end of the visit. No treatment plan was discussed or anything else for that matter. He informed I was going to need to use a walker and then stated he wanted to see me in 30 days. Whatever amount the visit cost was a waste of money. A patient needs to be included in their own treatment planning. Just because he is a doctor does not make him the only decision maker. I will definitely look else where for a professional opinion.

Personnel is very friendly, caring and dedicated. They are professional and thorough. My procedure was 20 minutes late but everything else was great. Highly recommend this facility and the staff!

When I arrive to my appointment I didnt know what to expect, at the time I was in much pain @ surprisingly the ladies at the front desk were very kind understanding , they noticed I wasnt feeling well @ offered compassion by stating their sorry I dont feel well..As I entered into the bag and went into the room they offered me something to drink to ensure I was comfortable. The doctor was very nice she understood and she also stated if theres anything that they can do more to help me just pick up the phone and give him a call.I recommend this place to anyone these are very nice and kind individuals who have a beautiful understanding of what individuals are going through

Dr Hultom, takes his time and explains everything to you. He doesnt immediately jump and say okay you need surgery, as a matter of fact he avoids surgery unless its absolutely necessary. I think that he is a great, and caring person I would recommend it anyone go see him you well be glad you did,

Everyone was nice. When I am nervous I start smiling I know weird…. It happened every time I see an operating room and I seeing them a lot unfortunately. But it was better this time. When it was time to go under the anesthesiologist was really nice and got at me slowly. I hate I was in a reck, but I am happy I am SOARS to get better.

The staff was very nice and got me checked in and back in a room within 5 minutes. While waiting to see the doctor there was a beautiful view of a pond with ducks swimming. When the doctor came in he explained everything in terms that I could understand. He went over my results and provided me options that he would provide for himself. He was very caring.

I am glad that I was sent to this Doctors office. Inspite of what I was going through which was devastating to me , Doctor Reese and the team has helped me through this horrendous situation. They are so knowledgeable and they really made feel good to know that they were the ones who where going to do my surgeries . Its been a rough time for me since my accident.But the only thing I can take from this is that Doctor Reese is on the job . And that makes me feel better.

I never have to worry about how long its going to take to be at the Drs. Office. I dont remember ever sitting there 5 minutes before they call you to the back. Then your called to the back quickly your ask questions about how you feel. After a couple of mins. Dr. Walks in. Examines you. They all treat you with respect. I have nothing bad to say. I would recommend them to anyone. It is also a very clean environment.

The staff is wonderful here always friendly. Dr Hothem’s bedside manner is great. I love the way he speaks regular people terms so you can actually understand what is going on with you and any procedures you will undergo.

I went to SOAR over an extended period of time for a series of challenging issues that was a result of being rear ended while I was at a traffic light. I was on my motorcycle. SUV. 50mph. Texting driver. You do the math.I cant say enough good things about *everyone* at SOAR, especially Dr Hothem who I had several fantastic conversations with over that time period.He didnt use complicated medical jargon when giving his medical opinion. This made me feel far more comfortable with the procedures as I felt I had an understanding of what we were going to do and why. He answered all my questions, going into as much detail as I needed (I wanted to know the worst case scenario at each step.) and reassuring me that the outlook for my age and physical condition was good.Ive gone from being in abject misery every day, simply by being upright and doing normal every day things, to living a relatively normal existence. My progress has been incredible given where we were and where I am now.Thank you very much Dr Hothem. Thank you in every single language and several made up ones.

The staff here is on point with everything they do. They attend to everything that needs to be attended to professionally. I loved every second of it, of them making me better thanks for everything.

I hope and believe she’s finally going to find out what’s wrong with me and get me back on the right road. She’s very thorough and detailed, she takes her time and truly cares about her patients.

When I first came to Dr. Hothem, I had a severe TBI and several herniated discs after a car accident. He was patient, kind, understanding and explained everything to me in details that I could understand. Admittedly, I was afraid of surgery so he promised it would be our last option. He treated my symptoms and pain in a non aggressive approach and had such a compassionate bedside manner which is rare these days. Ultimately, he did a better job than a plastic surgeon and you can’t even see my scar 9 months later. I trust him.I would refer any friend or family member to him and will continue to praise his care. I can’t thank him and his staff for being so amazing and listening to my fears, concerns and well being.Definitely 10 out of 5 stars. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

There will never be enough words to express my feelings about the SOAR Institute. After a life changing auto accident, I (a nurse) became a patient. I had seen a handful of physicians before being referred to Dr. Brian Reece, MD and Shawna Martin, NP. When I arrived at SOAR. I was in severe pain, had numbness and tingling, and felt hopeless that I would ever be the same person again. Depression had found me. They took me in and after a extensive history and assessment, they started me down my path. Testing, medications, my surgery options, and patient education was their key. My options were presented clearly for my understanding. It was important to them that WE were all on the same page. No one prior had compared to this level of medical care, knowledge, or compassion. I cant give them enough stars on this review. As far as Im concerned there is no other for my orthopedic care. Proudly im a SOAR Institute patient!

Virtually useless, and they keep scheduling me for appointments and calling me, which is delaying my case and impeding me from using that money to find a specialist who will actually treat my chronic headaches that resulted from the uninsured driver that hit me. You think your 2020 was bad? Thats the tip of the iceberg, and I only wish that was it, also lost my wife and service dog, so the last 24 hours with a constant headache reminded me to answer the SOAR institutes call by leaving an honest review after following all instructions and getting injections just to still have tension headaches per and over even though doctor H. said if I got the first set of injections he would prescribe headache meds (not even controlled, its just I have to see a doctor to get it and its costing me days and days of lost wages)

We were very impressed by the professionalism and quality of care we received from this facility. I would recommend them to anyone that wants to improve their condition following an injury.

Dr Eli is an amazing doctor who truly cares about his patients well being. I have to several spine doctors I just felt like a number to them. I would get my injections pain meds and out the door. Not enough words to express my gratitude and thankfulness for Doctor Eli and his team. I am in awe and as for my pain I have never felt better. My quality of life and my happiness is back. I highly reccomend Dr. Eli. The best doctor I have seen, trust me when I say that cause I have seen more than a handful..Thanks Doc..

Dr. Reece did my surgery in July of 2016. He did an amazing job and I highly recommend him. Everyone I spoke with had concerns about having the procedure done, but I would definitely recommend having it done here. They have the best staff around!

Dr. Reece was very self observed and wanted to do least job possible. He never examined me on the first visit but let his incompetent PA do the all work and just nodded to everything what she said and recommended. Nope, not even one finger of his on my back. He came in the exam room and had his legs and arms crossed and told me “I am 100% sure that you have a herniated disk...”. That’s was already a bad news without seeing the image( Later it turned out to be inaccurate. I don’t have a herniated disk based on the MRI result). His PA ordered a wrong part of back for my MRI which I wasted my time and had to go back to the imaging center for my mid-back which was the real problematic area in a few days again after I complained about the wrong order.I was going in for my second appointment I called the clinic if I needed to bring the CDs and the staff said no, they have them all already. Got there and the doctor seemed agitated because he couldn’t leave to go to lunch. He told me repeatedly from the reception desk in the lobby that I have a lot of serious problems in my bones because I am Asian and without seeing my MRI and X ray images. I replied I never had such pain prior to the injury but he kept saying I have serious problems like “bone myalgia ??” He said I had to be in a combat zone to have my kind of fractures with catastrophic injuries that can’t come from just a car accident. To me I had a catastrophic enough of accident thinking I was going to die when it happened. He kept insisting I had too many problems. That could be a frightening and disturbing gesture to a patient that he didn’t consider. He sounded like he was very excited to break bad news to me. Very inappropriately handled!!Overall, I was not impressed with the staff, the PA, and the doc. Very disorganized and unprofessional !

Had a consultation with Dr. Hothem on yesterday and it went great! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for open honesty and a thorough physical assessment. He was everything Dr. Ned Urbiztondo at Momentum spine & joint wasnt. Instead of rushing me out of his office, he took his time to really try to figure out and understand the reason for my issues. It is so good to know that there are still Doctors who are passionate about caring for others. Thank you so much, Dr. Hothem, for your good bedside manners and patient-centered care.

I came to this place by chain of referral and saw Dr. Hothem. I was in a car accident in December 2017 and had to go through the slow process of getting PT first, mri, etc. Finally, I got an appt. scheduled with an Orthopedic Surgeon after all of that waiting. It’s now been 2 weeks since I’ve had my appt. and I am still not scheduled for the injection. Keep getting the run around from the office manager Lisa, and she keeps putting it on some lady in corporate named Jennifer. She won’t let me speak to her for some reason either. They’ve spoken to the adjuster, so I’m not sure what the problem is. Lisa also tried to tell me that the injection is close to $10,000 and they just want to make sure I’m not stuck with the cost of it if the insurance doesn’t pay. I did my homework and injections aren’t that expensive lol. Found out they were trying to get me to have it at some different facility with anesthesia. You can do it in their office without anesthesia. Nobody asked me if that’s what I wanted. I had a child without an epidural I can endure some pain. Today was the last straw that broke the camel’s back! I spoke to Dr. Hothem on Friday due to side effects from the Naproxen he told me to take, and he told me that he was going to have Lisa schedule the injection. Called her and she had no damn clue about that conversation. I was livid to say the least. I most definitely will not be going back to them.Honestly, I wasn’t that impressed with the clinic and my visit with Dr. Hothem to begin with. I was just trying to get treatment as fast as possible to relive this pain, and I hadn’t had any issues with the referring provider. I was lied to by the lady at the front desk, jacinda or Giselle I think her name was, about them getting my records and claim info. from the referring provider. A week goes by and I’m at my appt. and they have nothing. First red flag, then I see Dr. Hothem. I have two herniated discs in my lower back, but to him they aren’t a big deal. I don’t remember his exact words, but basically he’s seen a lot worse and thinks I’d be good with daily Naproxen. He even said one of them isn’t really a herniation and basically Radiologists exaggerate sometimes. What?! Lol. I just didn’t feel assured after my appt. with him and I never feel that way after a doctor visit. It was such a feeling that I even wanted a second opinion. He said I could take Naproxen daily and be ok and not need the injection if I didn’t want it. I’ve researched the side effects of Naproxen and they can totally out way the benefits of taking it. I have never liked taking daily medications that aren’t absolutely necessary, especially not a medication that can cause ulcers from long-term use among many other side effects. I mean why would I want to do that, especially when I can get an injection that will last a minimum of a few months if not a lot longer. The entire visit I was thinking what in the hell is going on here lol. I don’t know if he was trying to make me feel better about not needing surgery or what, but I was very confused and annoyed with his little concern of my situation. I got a copy of the progress note he wrote, and most of the things he said we discussed in his note we did not discuss. He didn’t give me the short and long-term side effects of taking daily Naproxen, side effects and risks of getting the injection, didn’t ask me if I wanted to have the injection in his office or at a facility, etc. We didn’t discuss exercising to strengthen my muscles or possibly getting more PT like his note states. To each their own right, but I would definitely do your homework before going to this place.

Before you go here ask them what their fee schedule is!! They charge $2400 for a CONSULT no labs, no procedures, just to talk with the doctor! This is WRONG!! The average fee schedule for this service is $250 not $2400. Call around and price check before you go here. SCAM SCAM SCAM!

They dont take most insurances. The only way you can get in to see these guys is if you have Blue-Cross Blue Shield or if you have an Attorney. Dont bother with this place.
