I’ve been in and worked in over 8 successful facilities since 2011, Vista Ridge is in the top 2 when it comes to care, the passion I see in their nursing staff and directors is so heartwarming.. if ever I need SNF care for my mother again this will definitely be the place..

I dont recommend you leaving your love one here. The staff lies and dont have a good heart to take care of people. They treat people rude and dont care while nobody watching. The rooms dont get clean everyday day maybe once in a week. If someone falls they wont notice for a while and sometimes people die from falls. They cover up the people falls by saying it was an accident and not their fault. I witnessed once a women fall and the nurses shower her and didnt call the ambulance because family dont check on them or just leave them there to die. Then the lady passed away from the fall very sad.

Do Not let your loved one stay here for end of life care. My brother fell out of bed 3 times and was on the floor for at least an hour before anyone noticed. They did not help to feed him (he was immobile) and did not change him often enough or turn him often enough. He ended up with rashes and broken skin and bed sores. We reported them to the state but with no results. I would give this place NO stars if I could but this review made me at least do one.

Our caregiving team had the opportunity to assist a patient after he discharged from a local hospital and arrived at Vista Ridge Nursing and Rehab. Shalin Simmons, the Director of Business Development, was great to work with, and she even came to our office in person to ensure we had all the information that we needed to provide care. The administrator, Damena Metta, was very thorough to ensure that our team met all the CDC guidelines and followed the patients plan of care. This was our first time since Covid-19 that we were able to provide care in a skilled nursing facility, and the attentiveness, professionalism and patient care we experienced at Vista Ridge was impressive and greatly appreciated.

Do NOT let your loved one stay here for rehab. Filthy room, no call bell first 2 days upon transfer from hospital, inedible food and not cardiac friendly, made discharge and transition to home health as difficult as possible. The physical therapists and couple of nurses were good but over worked, little daily attention. Horrible place.

The PT department was fantastic. Vincent was so good with my mother and got her up and walking strong enough to go home. I am very pleased with everyone I met. The aadministration staff was very informative about the process and the social worker was so helpful they this difficult time for my family. I would highly recommend this place.

Vista Ridge truly delivers the highest quality care. The staff is accommodating and kind and the facility is beautiful. They have been keeping everything sanitized and clean. I am impressed with the extra precautions that they have been implementing over the past few months. The management have kept the residents and families well informed. The rooms are clean and they are dedicated to resident wellness.

I am an Life Enrichment Coordinator at the Vista Ridge. It’s been a pleasure working at Vista Ridge bringing excitement and creating activities to meet the needs of each resident has challenged me with the ability to think outside the box by continuing communication with families through window visit and portal connections via Facebook messenger. Our facility is free from Covid-19. Staff is doing a GREAT job with handling safety precautions to keep residents safe and healthy during this time.

My brother entered VR a few weeks ago after a week in hospital. He was very ill, couldnt walk, and had some severe cognitive deficits. Admittedly, we got off to a shaky start, as he didnt have health insurance and COVID had a profound influence on our ability to communicate and understand the terms of his stay. But once we got over that hump, I have to say I am very pleased with the care and attention my brother is getting. The PT and OT folks are up to the challenge, the social worker, Jessica has been wonderful, and Melisa in Admissions has been a godsend. If you have been affected by COVID outside of a medical facility, imagine for one minute how much more stress is involved when you have to go to work every day knowing that if the illness penetrates the facility patients will die and you could be at high risk as well. All things considered, I am convinced that this was the right place for my brother and that he is safe and cared for right now. I dont think they could be trying harder to deliver care to their patients during this extremely difficult time.

Please don’t put your loved in this nursing home. They do not follow state guidelines. Both my parents were here. My father was not taken care of during his end of life and they would not let family or hospice in to take care of him. Food is terrible and they are not always fed until 9:00 at night. Their workers do not answer the phone and also steal personal belongings.

My experiences with Jennifer the social worker and the 2 nurses named Irene were excellent. All three of these ladies were very professional, kind and considerate to my friend Shirley Burk who was their patient. They also helped me get through that very trying time. I would recommend Vista Ridge nursing and rehab Center to anyone. I would just hope that you would have the pleasure of working with these three amazing women.

My mother had a stay in the hospital. When she was released, Vista Ridge Nursing was suggested as a place for her to go. All of the staff have been very polite, professional, and helpful. Jennifer is the social services director and has provided expert guidance thru my mothers stay. The administration staff come by almost every day. The building is very clean and the food looks delicious.

Both of my parents were at Vista Ridge for the last 6 months. The staff there was so very caring and took really good care of them. These people have a love for the people they take care of and it really made my family feel comfortable when we couldnt be with them all the time. The social worker Jennifer helped me many times with information and also had a shoulder to cry on when I needed one. She was really good with making sure my parents had what they needed to help them the best. We put plans in place for safety issues my dad was having and it helped. The nurses and aides were awesome. Both of my parents were really head strong, stubborn and ornery in their own ways. They fed them, encouraged and loved on them. My dad didnt give kisses out to family that often, but I saw him give several people kisses. Which touched my heart dearly.I am horrible with names, but Neesie, Debra, Derrick, Christiana, Grace, Mary, Susan, Angela, Faye, TT, Stephanie, Robert, Kenneth, Victoria, Monica are just a few that come to mind, but there were so many others that took great care of them. The love they all showed at the passing of each of our parents, was amazing. There was shock and tears that you wouldnt expect, but it showed that they truly loved my parents, their patients.A heart felt thanks goes to everyone who worked with my parents at Vista Ridge. We will always be grateful that their last days were with you!

Vista Ridge Nursing Home will always be a special place to me! The staff are absolutely the best ... a true staff of Angels! ALL of the Nurses, Medical Techs, CNAs, Therapists, Laundry Coordinator, Housekeepers, kitchen staff and Administrators made the nursing home a welcoming HOME for our parents. The staff is truly vested in the residents; treating them with love and respect, ensuring they are comfortable, safe and happy in their home. Everyone called our parents momma and poppa, truly loving them. Jennifer B has been a phenomenal help to our family, from the first day of admission and throughout our parents stay. It was great to have Jennifer’s dedication and knowledge partnering with us to achieve the best solutions for our parents. Both of our parents recently passed. Upon each of their deaths, the Staff were all visuallly upset by their passing, sharing in our tears and pain of the losses. I would highly recommend Vista Ridge Nursing Home for loved ones!!

Bias hiring practicesThis company has a biased if not plain discriminatory hiring practice. I am a Certified Medication Aide and recently interviewed with them. The interview, based on my judgement, went well and I was asked to come in for orientation.I waited to get a date for the orientation and received no call. When I called to inquire about the situation, I was told by Monica that the director of nurse said that I could not be offered the position because of my accent. I must admit I have a francophone background and English is a second language to me, which I read and write perfectly. I have worked for 3 years in this position and now all of a sudden I am being discriminated against because of my pronunciation. I find this appalling and for the first time I have decided to write a review.

This facility has been great to my mother of 80 years. She had a fall, was in the hospital for 3 nights and had to go to a Rehabilitation facility to get better use of her knee and right leg which were hurt in her fall.Upon arrival at the facility it took a little to get use to as it’s not a hospital; they don’t have as many workers; the response time is a little longer depending on what all is going on; it just takes a little period of adjustment. The therapy that they have here is top notch. From Physical Therapy to Speech Therapy to Occupational Therapy. All of the therapists that I saw take care of my mom had a very kind and gentle disposition. Todd in Physical Therapy is great, as is Haley in Speech Therapy. The nurses, what can I say, most of them are great, especially Irene 1, Irene 2, and nurse assistant Mary, but you are going to run into ones that aren’t having their best day, but even those are few and far between. The front office staff are always very approachable. Jennifer, the Director of Social Services, is you’re main point of contact for everything, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot go talk with the Administrator of the facility, the Director of Nursing, or the Assistant Director of Nursing.Jennifer goes out of her way to make right every wrong, try (and most likely does) get a Dr. to come speak with you in the middle of the night because of your concerns, and runs (ok, walks VERY fast) everywhere because I swear she squeezes 65, or more, minutes out of every hour.My mother’s only complaint would have to do with the food that they served, which we found out was contracted out. Only a couple meals were not that appetizing. She actually had her best meal the other day, on her 27th day, but we found out it was a substitute cook. (They should hire whoever that was!!) My dad was a cook in the Air Force and he had it out with the main cook one night about how to prepare meals and make them look delicious.Watching the staff care for people who are here for either a nursing facility or rehabilitation facility, this is how I’d like to think that if something should happen to anyone in my family, even myself, we’d be lucky to have a facility take care of us as this facility.

This seemed to be more a nursing home than anything and thats the state the majority of the patients appeared to be in. Their physical therapy is EXCE;NT and DEDICATED, however. My first suggestion is to put the rehab patients in one hall or halls together, as listening to the poor folks crying out 24 hrs. a day was extremely depressing to me.I also would suggest giving new patients written information about when they will get showers, how to successfully switch from meals in ones room to the dining room, etc. I felt the majority of the staff was very nice and extremely kind, although not all of the late night staff knew what medications could be given and not, at least in my case, which caused unnecessary pain and discomfort..The cleanliness seemed very good and they tried hard to meet requests.

This place is absolutely horrible. My grandmother in law is currently back in the hospital no thanks to the careless and unprofessional care she was receiving. First off she has diabetes and they where giving her cinnamon rolls and honey buns causing her blood sugar to go through the roof. She is prescibed xanax and been taking it for 15+ yrs. They refused her the medicaton causing her to go into withdraws. And when we called to gind out how she was doing they said great when. She was really running a 103 fever and retaining so much water she was swelling up. And cause extreme pain. This a factual review. Please avoid this pkace at all cost we will be seeking legal action for the deadly care provided here .

I wish that I could leave less than a one star rating for this facility. Every day that I visited my father, which was 4 to 6 days per week his diaper was soiled, regardless of time of day. When I informed the staff, it would take over 20 minutes to get him changed, after asking several staff members. They were very rude and seemed bothered that I would ask them to change him. Sometimes, I would change him myself to avoid the dirty looks and attitude. My mom visited him every day, and she also dealt with urine and feces soaked diapers and clothes. In the dining room, there was never enough silverware or napkins for the residents. The poor people had to sit there and wait until the lazy and unmotivated staff felt like helping them. NO sense of urgency from anyone. I also witnessed a 6 minute code blue. No one knew what to do...pitiful. They are always under-staffed, and a general lack of communication between all departments. Please DO NOT send a loved one to this home...I am devastated that my kind, loving, and gentle father had to die alone in this miserable and cold place. There were some good, weekend nurses...I wish that they were the full time staff.

This place looks pretty nice from the outside...but once you have a loved one living there, you learn a whole lot different. They arent caring, or very clean. My mother in law is in this place, basically at their mercy... She cant use her hands or walk. They close her door (she cant use the call button) nor can they hear her if she tries to holler for help. They dont bathe her daily, when they bring her food tray, they either feed her too fast, poke her w/the fork, or too big bites where she almost chokes. Or, they leave the tray & dont come back in to feed her until 9:00 pm. They bring it to her @ 4:00 pm. Close this Hell Hole Down !!! Ive been a CNA, & I would never dream of treating any patient this way. & Guess what folks...this is the kind of treatment you/I can look forward to.
