My decision to further my treatment of addiction after in-patient rehab, and doing so with Steps to Recovery, was the best decision I have every made in my life. I’m over 40 years old and wasn’t sure if an extended care program would benefit or be right for me. I currently have 8 months sober and owe the majority of my success in that, to STR. The entire staff, especially the clinicians, were patient, understanding and extremely supportive of me during my first few months of sobriety.

I have to tell you, I’ve been to rehabs all over the country, and this one hear is the one that did it for me, they are aligned with professional people who have no only been through what patients have been through but took it a step further and passed their knowledge and hope onto us. They treat every single patient the same, as a human being. Nothing else. They talk to you as an adult, and all they want is nothing but the best for you. All my life in and out of rehabs I have reiterated the words “rehabs are nothing but a scam” but this one here is far from it and slowly started to change that thinking for me. This place saved my life. I came here in March and stayed for the entire PHP program and have continued on to IOP and today I have 110 days clean. Over the past 5 years I’ve been to approximately 12 rehabs (including some of the best in country) and nothing compares to the attention and care and actual recovery that I received from the staff here. If you are struggling and looking for a way out, this place is your answer. You don’t have to struggle alone. I came in here after completing inpatient rehab at their sister program and was drug addicted, homeless, and wanting to die with no purpose in my life besides drugs and figuring out how to get money for drugs, and I left with a completely new outlook on life. This place has given me strength and courage and hope when I couldn’t find it in myself. Steps to Recovery and the STR staff will forever hold a special place in my heart. Wow. Im an old-fashioned kind of psychotherapist who has been working with MH/SA populations for 20+ years and, in that time, I have done many a site visit. Most are OK - same stuff, different zip code - but STR really impressed me with its offerings, layout and staff. I look forward to referring clients to them! Some areas to consider for expansion and/or improvement: more creative arts adjunctive therapies (art, music, etc.), equine/pet/horticultural therapy, onsite daycare facility for staff (kidding, or not !!!). February 2018 I went to Steps to Recovery. I spent 4 months there. 2 months in Phase I where I truly started to realize I am a good person. I had an amazing therapist. Eddie gave me a lot of inspiration. All of the techs at STR cared and listened. They are a part of the reason why I am still sober today! They are a major reason. They showed me love when I didnt love myself! A wonderful place!

Steps was the biggest blessing of my life. From the staff to the facility everything was amazing. This is a program that really cares and wants the best for you and your future. They go above and beyond to meet you where you’re at.

This place is kind of a joke compared to other treatment centers I’ve gone to. It was more fun than therapeutic if anything. The groups are a joke, my first group I walked in and there were 3 girls just rolling around on the ground. Also since i went there about 70% of the staff has relapsed. Including the owner that owned it at the time. 10/10 would recommend for someone who’s being forced into treatment and doesn’t want to stay sober and just wants a cushy fun treatment center to attend and do zero work on themselves.

I was in a really bad way. I went through rehab and thought I was going home right after but it was brought to my attention that long term treatment would produce better results. My counselor recommended STR and I agreed. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. The staff genuinely cares and everyone is super friendly. The houses are nice and well maintained. I ended up staying for a total of 5 months between phase 1 and phase 2. Im leaving today and feel I have gained some priceless information in areas such as relapse prevention and coping skills to get through whatever life may throw my way. I highly recommend STR to anyone who is serious about long term recovery.

I went to STR about 6 years ago. I am still apart of their alumni page and I really like feeling connected. The staff at STR truly cares about their clients. I have never been to a facility where I felt so individualized and important. Manny was my therapist at the time (I think he is an executive director now), and he was amazing! He was such a great therapist. They truly made me feel like a leader in my own recovery. I was able to take initiative and do things like grocery shopping, going to the gym, and choosing the after care programs that worked for me. I am still in recovery 6 years later and I was able to go back to school (almost have my degree!) and I now work in the drug and alcohol field. I feel grateful I can give back just like STR did for me!

The thing that makes Steps to Recovery different is the compassion and culture.When you walk through the doors you just feel it and see it. I have been through more treatments than I care to admit, so I can confidently say that STR is an amazing program. I was there through the beginning months of the quarantine when the whole world was a mess and they STILL had it together. Every mental health professional was knowledgeable and an outside-the-box thinker (I mean, we need it. We’re outside-the-box people.) Every housing/center staff member were understanding and loving forever mentors. I highly recommend STR and every day sober reminds me of how blessed I am to have gone through the program.

I went to this place back in June. I was only able to be there for about 2 weeks before I had a family emergency and had to leave. But the time I with their changed my life. Every staff member was just so amazing and caring and all the people I met were just supportive and extremely helpful. I am still putting to use the things I learned There. This facility is about 8 hours from my home and it was worth the drive there and back. If you truly want help in to change Youre a life theres no better place to go than here. Thank you for everything I now have over a 100 days clean and I got my life back.

Going in treatment this time after detox and a residential stay I decided to commit to long term treatment. I was nervous about it , but right away steps to recovery took me in as part of their family. They made the transition as comfortable as possible and time flew. They teach you to identify triggers as well as the core reasons why us addicts use time after time despite the negative consequences. The staff (techs, counselors , therapists , clinicians, etc.) are the best in the field, they genuinely care about your safety and well being!!! Highly recommend this program to the addict who still suffers!!!!! Give them a chance to help you and you’ll receive all the help you need plus more !!! Best life decision I’ve made was to surrender to this program.

Great facility and even better staff. First time trying something other than inpatient treatment and it taught me a lot. I want to say thanks to all the staff especially Dan O. for making the evenings at housing bearable and all the advice on how to transition into the real world.

Ive made more bad choices in my life to even be able to begin to count.. Deciding to admit myself to Steps to Recoverys program wasnt one of them! In fact, it is by far THE BEST decision Ive made in my life by far. Their program is designed to be whats best for each individual client. Their program is by far not one of those cookie cutter programs. They make connections with all the clients so that instead of it feeling like your in rehab. They make it feel like youre at your second home, while at the same time youre working on yourself. Graduating from their program in my opinion is one of the greatest achievements in my life. I DO NOT have one bad thing to say about the facility or the staff. I heard somewhere that the opposite of addiction is connection. And that is one thing Steps to Recovery is very good at. To anyone seeking help with drugs and alcohol, my first and foremost recommendation is Steps to Recovery. And it always will be that way.

Steps to Recovery was one of the turning points of my soberity. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had. From the staff to the housing everything was great here. The only downside I would say is the meals. If somebody in the house isn’t sharing food can go missing making it harder on other members of the house. If people needed cigarettes they would try to get them for you. They also do many various treatment styles which is awesome.

I was looking for an Op rehab facility for my son and came across Steps to Recovery via the intranet search. I called and was so extremely happy with the person on the other end. I spoke to Jess and Lauren several times over the next couple of days. They were caring, kind, calming and compassionate to my needs as well as my sons. They didnt rush me, as Ive learned when they are ready for help, they will go. I received several follow up calls to check on me and my son. They say always make a good first impression. If these ladies are any indication of the rest of the staff, we look forward to taking the Steps to Recovery!!

Great experience. Staff is awesome and very helpful. I have never been to a program that cares more. I’ve been out of care for awhile now and can still pop in and everyone remembers my name. Steps To Recovery is the most amazing rehabilitation center in the world. I am saying this because I was a client here and it was hands down the best. Speaking from somebody who has been to multiple treatment centers and who has been struggling with addiction for years, Steps has helped me find myself in my journey to becoming sober. When I went to steps the first time was in February and I was so broken I didnt know what to do anymore. Upon arriving I was greated with welcome arms. Everybody made me feel at home so strong that I felt like it was too good to be true. But the reality was it was true. The staff is so caring and they actually care about the clients. They actually dont look at you like a dollar sign. They want to see you succeed. One of the crazy parts also, is that the owner instead of sitting in a room upstairs at the center like 99.99% of treatment center owners do counting money and smoking cigars as they do it. The owner Ryan will literally be involved and engaged with the community. Something you just do not see. The techs are so amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and help you over come every obstacle thrown at you. Steps make you feel like a part of the family that they are. Steps saved my life. I came in February left in April and because of some things I did before February I had to pay consequences for what u did. But its not how I fell that doesnt matter. It is how I got back up. And when I returned they didnt make me feel ashamed. They once again welcomed me with open arms and told me and showed me it is alright and the fight is over. I love all the staff and all the management at Steps To Recovery. Thank you for everything you guys have done for me. !

The staff are super young. They smile and joke and act like you should, too. For me, it’s a matter of life and death. No laughing matter and certainly not trying to have fun, but survive.Everything is in a group setting, but with no control. The “clients” are actually running the show: Loonies run the asylum.Re: 5* reviews: How are those people doing right now? Are they still sober? That is where you should focus your research on this place. Personally, I doubt it.

From the moment I walked into Steps To Recovery I knew I was in the right place.. The staff was there to go above and beyond for each individual client in a way to make them feel comfortable and safe.The mens phase 1 house I was in was always kept in pristine condition. The house gives you a sense of a home feel. Housing staff members taught me what it was like to live in a so to say normal manner.. as in cleaning dishes when Im done with them, making my bed in the morning, and to respect others... What I learned at this phase 1 house are all things I use today in my day to day life..The facility where groups were ran in (the center) again another clean and comfortable environment I was surrounded by people who care and wanted me to succeed. All groups ran at the center have a meaning to them even when you dont think they do. The groups were able to help keep me open minded.. Sarah T and Deena helped me on a day to say basis in ways Im forever grateful for....Overall Im happy to say that this place helped save my life. I would recommend this facility to anyone struggling with alcohol or drug addiction or to anyone that knows someone who is struggling. This place is a 10/10 in my book.

I have been to several treatment facilities and this one is by far the best one i have been to. Not only is the facility clean and well kept, the faculty that works there have amazing hearts. The concept of the gradual step-down into “everyday life” works! I started off in in-patient then transitioned to PHP and finally IOP. Str is a phenomenal program. I was so scared walking in there and was immediately embraced as basically a family member. This program contributed significantly-and still does- to my sobriety. The staff here is absolutely awesome and so kind hearted. They took me in when I was at my lowest point and fixed me up and taught me self confidence. When I relapsed a few days after leaving there I called them and they tried their hardest to help me. They sent me to their sister company in pompano beach Florida then allowed me to come back for their iop program. I am so forever grateful and I love every one of you!!!

Steps to recovery gave me the proper foundation I needed to succeed in my recovery. Although I didn’t remain sober directly after I went there, only because I wasn’t ready, the knowledge I was given never faded from my mind and it was readily available when I decided to make the necessary changes. The staff works tirelessly to ensure the needs of the clients are met to an extent. When you first come there, you aren’t ready to live your life on your own terms and they are experienced in helping you manage it. The facilities are beautiful to say the least. Gym acces is available, they pay for your food and you have a roof over your head. All the therapists are excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am a former client of Steps to Recovery, and I can tell you, that I did not want to go into treatment. I was broken, depressed, and felt out of place everywhere. As soon as I walked through the door, I was welcomed with open arms, and treated like family. STR is a huge family that I thank for saving my life, for showing me that there is another way of life, planting the seed of recovery, and most of all, being there for me when I needed them. The housing is beautiful, the staff amazing, and they have an insanely great aftercare program.

If you are in need of a Recovery facility this is the place. If it werent for STR I dont know what my life would be like. The staff here truly cares about each individual and their well being. And they are still there to support you even when you leave. The housing is beautiful and always clean. I would give 20 Stars if it allowed. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!

Truly individualized care. As a client my every need was catered to and my voice was heard when I verbalized my needs and desires, which seems rare at addiction treatment facilities. The staff is professional and experienced and STR began to feel like my home very quickly.
