Our handy man was so professional and made sure the job (installing a front storm door) could be done with reasonable charges before even starting! Our frame was a little wonky and so he made sure we had the right door and supplies etc. job was done perfectly and even gave us some further tips on future jobs in our house!! Food bang for the buck and he did a WONDERFUL job!

I hired handyman to install carriage house doors and porch repair. They were quick with response to bid and started job next day and finished in one day. They were friendly and kept me in the loop through the whole process especially when the job included some changes. The work they done was great and I would highly recommend them and use them for future jobs.

I called Bud to get repair of a ceiling nail pop and repair a deck. These guys were available, efficient, communicated well, are all vaccinated and the work was terrific. I might be surprised, but I am happy! Give them a try!

I hired Mr. Handyman for 3 projects: Replace bathroom light fixture; replace bedroom light and ceiling fan; repair/replace bathroom exhaust fan. After the initial request I received an on- line estimate for the 3 items, with a price range, ( dependent on the bathroom exhaust fan which needed to be reviewed and then purchased). I scheduled the work and received several communications including time and date confirmation. The morning of the work I was notified the name of the technician and that he was on the way. The technician, Whit Fast, was polite, knowledgeable and professional. He explained the work when necessary and left to retrieve an exhaust fan kit which saved us from the expense of a new purchase. When the work was completed he completely cleaned up the areas and disposed of the trash. The contract cost fell well within the proposed and quoted range. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman!!!

This was my first experience with Mr. Handyman. Mike worked on the ceiling of our garage. Mike was on time, extremely professional and did great work. He periodically checked with me throughout the 2 days to make sure I was happy with the progress and workmanship. A manager (Marc) also stopped by to check progress and satisfaction with the project. Mike left my garage spotless. All this for a very fair price. I highly recommend Mr Handyman!

Needed some siding replaced due to wood rot. I called half a dozen woodrot professional businesses but Mr. Handyman was the only business willing to do the job. They were on-time and got everything taken care of. Thank you! I definitely plan on using them in the future.

Office managers unprofessional phone behavior was the absolute worst only after the fact we were charged 200$ more than what was discussed. My experience with the actual handyman was fine. I was given an estimate, he admitted was high JUST INCASE. When charged he admitted he forgot to take 100$ off what was estimated due the fix being easier than planned. I was never sent a receipt and had to request one after a week of waiting. I ended up being charged 100$ OVER the estimate instead of 100$ less. I called twice and left messages. Finally office manager called me back, when I explained the invoice is incorrect, she disagreed, continuously interrupted me mam, mam, I am not going to argue with you! is what she kept saying. I requested to speak to her supervisor. She refused stating she is the office manager. She continued to refuse to allow me to explain. I was later emailed the estimate of $535. The owner of the company then left a voicemail saying Bud actually charged 100$ in materials for a total of $635 and we were refunded $100 to get to was estimated.....THE POINT I WAS MAKING WAS, I WAS ESTIMATED HIGH AT $535, AT CHECK OUT BUD SAID HE FORGOT TO TAKE OFF $100 DUE TO NOT NEEDING THE EXTRA MATERIALS THAT WAS ESTIMATED. Our total should have been $435 according to my exchange with the handyman. Our office will never use Mr.Handyman again. Mostly due to the Office managers rudeness and unprofessionalism. If her supervisor is reading this, please refer to the recording of our conversation for quality assurance purposes***UPDATE ***It is very unfortunate the phone call is unable to be posted after seeing the response from the company below, creating their own story line of the situation. People take the time to read reviews because they want a truthful reflection of their experience. It is unfortunate when the company publicly responds in a way to save face while placing the blame on the customer. Them claiming I tried to blackmail them with a google review is ridiculously exaggerating. When I realized I was getting no where explaining the situation I mentioned just before hanging up I am happy to leave a review that reflects my experience with the office manager. I honestly believe this is a huge learning opportunity for them and maybe the company needs to provide more customer service training for their office staff.

I had a decent experience with my handyman today from Mr. handyman. He was professional, nice, competent. He worked fast and efficiently and was undaunted by my list, which kept him busy for eight hours. (FYI, It was expensive, but I had to have it done and there was a quite bit that needed cleaning up after they were gone.)

Very quick and cost effective service. We had lots of trouble finding someone to help us repair some rotted soffit. Mr. Handyman gave us an estimate and made the repair on the same day. Great work.

They only charged me $1200 to fix a minor water leakage and pack up a 2x2 hole.They quoted the job for $600 through Homeadvisor list and the first thing the technician did was to hand me a change order ticket. For this price, they tried to tell me that I have to paint it myself, or pay them another $200 for it.Just want to throw my experience out there, and hope this can help somebody avoid making the same mistake as I did.The job number is 119267

Installed blinds. There were issues with the blinds and broken pieces. The service man was creative and moved parts from one blind to the other in order to allow me to have more to use while we are working on a permanent solution.

Jason was our handyman, he was very experienced. We had 6 things we needed done. One of those being tiling the bathroom. That was the most expensive. Jason was constantly working, except for lunch. Every project was done with excellence. He worked quickly, but efficiently. It was a little expensive but for the quality of work and the expertise of the handyman, I am very pleased with how everything turned out and looks.

Bud repaired two outdoor faucets that were leaking. Instead of replacing the entire faucet he successfully repaired the leak. Exceptional service by Bud!

Onesimo was very efficient in getting the kitchen painted and I was very pleased. Rod replaced the backsplash tile in the kitchen and his workmanship was great. I would definitely request both gentlemen if and when doing another similar project.

I had this company install an exhaust fan in the bathroom that vented through the roof. Also had them take the exhaust above the stove and vent it though the roof as well. Now every time it rains, I have a pool of water on top of my stove and there’s water damage on the ceiling of my bathroom. They’ve come out to look at it multiple times and fix it, but it never works. Now I have to pay someone else to come fix a problem they 100% caused, and have to have the ceiling in my bathroom replaced so mold doesn’t start. ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT hire for anything beyond hanging picture frames.

Hired Mr. Handyman to do some repairs on my deck and one of my windows. Daniel arrived on time and did an excellent job with both projects. Pricing was very reasonable as well. 10/10

Rod is truly a magician with projects. I am disabled and needed doors widened. Rod finished the 4 door projects quickly, accurately and very professionally. The doors weighed 200 lbs each, when Rod was done, they float to open and close. Rod is a magician of the highest order!

I submitted an online request with photos over the weekend. I received a call on Monday to discuss the issues I had with my Chimney and Pergola. Bud gave me an estimate over the phone based on the photos and set a time for the work to be done. The morning of, I received a text when both of the technicians were on their way and when they arrived. The work took two days and they were early both days. Rod and Brian were both knowledgeable and took the time to listen to my concerns. Rod explained clearly both mornings what they were going to accomplish and estimated the time they would be working each day. They did a fantastic job. I have other things that need to be done and will be using Mr. Handyman of NE Johnson County again!

We recently had our floors replaced and had a small disaster when they pulled up the toliets. Bud from Handyman showed up the same day we called and let me tell you we FINALLY got what we paid for...thank you sooo much Bud for fixing our stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Bud did a fantastic job re-installing our undermount kitchen and basement bar sinks that were separating from our granite countertops. He also braced all 3 sinks (2 kitchen and 1 bar) with a sinksetter to prevent the undermount sinks from separating again in the future. Bud was very knowledgeable, professional, and did a job well done. The pricing was very competitive, we will definitely call on him in the future.

I had holes in the soffets and fascia on the front of the house. I had several companies or people show interest and three actually gave estimates. Mr Handyman was the only company that actually provided an estimate and then scheduled the work and actually showed up...and they did the repairs for cheaper than the other estimates. I will be calling them back for other stuff that needs to be done and would recommend them without hesitation.

These guys were great. They set an appointment and kept it. They made a bid and honored it! The work that was asked for was completed exactly as agreed. Very nice guys, they cleaned up after themselves, and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.

I used mr handyman to fix Garbage disposal and window blinds. The technician arrived on time and clean. w he ile working on the project, found a problem with the dishwasher and fixed it. The quality of work done is great, handyman is knowledgeable and professional The only complaint I have is that I was charged 5 x more for material used for the project.

He spent time answering my questions and providing suggestions.Mr. Marc Graham, who provided the estimate, told me an additional step would be placed since it was a long step from ground to first step. My elderly dog has back and hip problems and this would be much appreciated.That was not communicated to Mr. Fruit and he felt terrible about it when I asked about the step.I am happy with the work.

The service was good at first but then I came into my basement and the jersey I had them hang had fell. And luckily nothing happened to the expensive frame but the jersey fell off the threading that was holding it up and now I have to get it redone. There was only one nail holding it up which probably wasnt enough.

This company doesn’t have the customer in mind at all. It took two weeks of calling and leaving messages for someone to just even return my call.Finally an appointment was set up. The day of the appointment they were late two hours from the scheduled time.Two gentleman, (one looked under the influence) came in the home wanting to start the work right then, writing prices on my to do list with a pencil.The numbers were outrageous. I declined starting work that day.The list was replacing some weather stripping, replacing a garbage disposal (Plug and Play, I already purchased it), fixing hinges on doors, some painting touch up, and texturing.I emailed the President, (Bud) he came back with an offer of 200 dollars off their quoted price of $1998.00 bring it a total of $1798.00.Mind you, I had a “coupon” of 25% off that was emailed to me.. 25% off the quoted price is $1,498.50. The owner wouldn’t honor his own coupon, (beyond laughable).So I emailed him taking a different approach, and took the over priced items off my list and would have another contractor complete those items and asked if he could complete the reasonably priced ones.Bud emailed back stating he would pass, and told me “good luck finding someone else”These guys are jokers just trying to gouge and scam people of simple tasks around the house, they are not punctual, unprofessional in their interactions, can’t do math, or pick up the phone to call people back when they requested a quote.Don’t waste your time.

Honestly we had a bad experience and the job done (painting a deck) didn’t last. I believe the initial man sent to do pressure washing didn’t do a thorough job (less than an hour for a big deck) and now a few months later lots of the paint is chipping.Throughout the “1-2 day” (became 5 day) job, the company didn’t communicate well. Workers showed up without paint and supplies multiple days. Didn’t originally use a sprayer, “found” a sprayer, sprayer broke, went back to brushes. They damaged property and didn’t tarp or protect anything around or under walk out deck.They spilled paint on our stone step (lots of paint, let it dry). They used a sprayer without any protection and everything behind the deck got sprayed. All of the items near the deck have a fine mist of paint still stuck to them (grill, trash cans, smoker, etc). We paid over $2000 to have this job done. Company did not check on the work done after it was finished (even though they used a revolving door of workers). It was basically a week of mistakes and and excuses me having to walk around multiple times and point out large, obvious areas that were missed.The guys sent out were nice but very unprofessional. They complained and blamed quite a bit while there. They didn’t fix obvious mistakes until asked. It was very uncomfortable all around. There are still a few spots they missed AND the paint is chipping badly. Find someone else.

Had water leak from upstairs bathroom tub. Had water stain on ceiling in dining room. Ron located the leak, repaired the leak and repaired the sheet rock in the dining room. Ron arrived at 8:00 am, was very professional and went right to work. He cleaned up his mess. We would use Mr Handyman again.

Some of the services were done well some not at all. I requested a return service to fix a job and was quoted significantly more than the original job. The color was our choice but the workmanship was horrible.However, the most disturbing experience was the bill collection mentality once services were complete. Literally harrassed while driving back to the house and unable to pull out my credit card. Eventually hit traffic jam and was able to reach my wallet and pay over the phone...Sorry, my experience with Mr. Handyman was not good and will not be using their services again.Edited my response: Changed to one star. As stated...The color was our choose, please dont use that as an excuse, BUT as stated the workmanship was horrible why would I want to pay for repeat services when 1) service was amateur, 2) your billing collection is appalling. The service was literally that day and I was just driving to the house when I was hounded on payment. Please no excuses.
