I have seen Dr Natalie several times when I have experienced back and shoulder pain. She is expert in finding just the right spot for dry needling and adjusting. I literally walk out of her office pain free and the exercises she gave me have increased mobility in my hip and my arthritic shoulder. I can also recover quickly from the times when I over-done lifting and exercise.Dr Natalies skills are a true blessing to me!!

Finan Chiropractic is professional, friendly and flexible. From the very 1st appointment, I knew I had found the best place for me. For some reason, Google maps sent me to the wrong location and I was lost, running late. I was stressing out and called for help on locating the office. When I walked in, the staff immediately made me feel welcome and calm. The office is serene and inviting, so when in pain, a huge plus. I cant say enough good things about my experience. Dr. Nate introduced himself , how he works with his practice of care, what to expect, and understand he is there to help me. He also asked me what I wanted to accomplish. Of course, get rid of the excruciating sciatica pain… however there are many different avenues with that and he wanted to evaluate the best treatment plan for me, with me. He quickly pulled up the scans I had from Diagnostic Imaging on his computer where he could review them. While he patiently listened and learned about my issue, he waited until I was finished and then talked through some exercises to see how that would affect my issue. Instead of having to continue to go to the orthopedic doctor and find a Physical Therapist, Dr. Nate was able to work with me, help me and work a treatment plan. It took time and multiple visits at 1st, however, I can say with much confidence, Dr. Nate helped me and I am currently pain free. It was a process and continue to assess my needs with him when necessary. Dr. Nate is PHENOMENAL!! I completely recommend Finan Chiropractic for anyone in need of care!!

Truly life changing experience when I met Josh Van Zandt thru his wife who I used to work with.I had been dealing with what I thought was a herniated disc in my neck. The quacks wanted to cut me so bad the surgeon even said Its no big deal I have had the surgery myself .I knew when I was told that- I would rather not put my right arm above my shoulder for the rest of my life than have this hack cut me open !So I dealt with not being able to raise my arm above my shoulder for a couple years. This was very hard for me as I am very active- competitive basketball every Sunday and holf 3 to 4 times a week.Then I met Josh ! Within 30 seconds he determined i didnt have a disc issue but a shoulder issue! I had tons if scar tissue built up due to lack of exercise etc....So he started ART Actice Release Technique on my shoulder. After 3 months I was PAIN FREE ! It was truly a miracle to be able to shoot jumpers and hit 350 yard drives again without pain !I still go see my buddy Josh from time to time if I jam my shoulder from slamming the basketball too hard and he gives me immediate relief !I dont consider Josh my chiropractor or doctor. I consider him my FRIEND !@.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Finan for her chiropractic care during my pregnancy. My baby had been in the oblique position at every prenatal visit with my midwife (meaning his head was off to the side, towards my hip, rather than pointing down like it needed to be), so I finally went to see Dr. Finan. After 1 adjustment I sat up and could tell my belly looked different- even externally you could tell the baby was now more vertically oriented than horizontally. And the next day an ultrasound confirmed my son was head-down, and he stayed that way until he was born! I have no doubt that I have Dr. Finan to thank for a smooth and easy delivery.

Dr. Nate Backer was great! I’m an amateur rock climber and I stopped by a few weeks ago. He was extremely personable and showed me a lot of techniques to be more flexible, and gave me a detailed lesson on how the human body works in terms of movement. Definitely recommend him to anyone!

Dr Finan is the only person who has been able to help my husband with all the issues hes had post-military service. He wont see another chiropractor at all! After getting a massage for an hour the going to get an adjustment from the doctor, I feel pain free for several days. This has been the best combination I have found. Dr. Nate Becker made some intolerable neck, arm, and mid-back pain 60% better after the first visit. The combination of hands-on muscle work, dry needling, cupping, and Developmental Neuromuscular Stimulation exercises provided excellent relief. I dont like having my neck adjusted, and Dr. Becker was very respectful of that. Im a semi-retired physical therapist, and sure wish Id learned some of the same techniques to use with my patients. I highly recommend Finan Chiropractic. Ive known Dr. Finan for over 10 years, and she has established a first rate, ethical practice, with a high level of expertise in a variety of treatment modalities.

Wonderful chiropractic care. Dr. Madison is so nice to work with as she listens to you and really spends time on specified areas, gives you stretches to help ease pain in between visits. She did wonders for me throughout my pregnancy in relieving lower back pain even helping me to get pregnant through acupuncture. The staff at Finan Chiropractic are exceptional - front desk to doctors! Ive seen a chiropractor regularly for about 36 years now & made the switch to Finan almost a year ago. I loved my previous chiropractor, but after moving a few years ago, I decided the distance & time it took to go there was not practical. When I first started going to Finan, I had just finished up 3 months of physical therapy for a total knee replacement, but was still having some trouble getting that knee 100% straight. Dr. Josh Van Zandt was recommended by a friend. I could not believe the level of detail & history we discussed on my first visit, but more importantly, when I left the office at the end of that visit, my knee was totally straight - & he barely touched it! He focused instead on the psoas muscle in my abdomen & the IT Band in my hip & thigh. Every visit since has always provided me with relief, if not immediately, shortly after. I never feel rushed through my visits so I never leave without having every issue treated. The variety of techniques used at the practice is also quite impressive, so if a normal adjustment isnt the right solution, there are other options to try (& I think Ive had all of them over the course of the year). I have not for one minute regretted making this switch & would (& have) recommend Finan Chiropractic to anyone.

My gymnast daughter saw Dr Josh for a strained psoas injury. I cant imagine a doctor who would be better with a tween girl who is also a competitive athlete. Some of the treatments / stretches were painful at times but Josh was so good with her and helping her figure out what worked and what didnt.

Amazing experience! Im a marathon runner and have been running for 18 years. I have been experiencing hip pain for the last 6 months whenever I run, just one visit with Dr Josh last week and im feeling so much better. I am so much more hopeful now that I will be able to run painfree again.

I have experienced only SAFE and compassionate treatments. I went with horrible pain in my back/side after seeing two different chiropractors who could not seem to help but only made it worse. Dr Finan actually refused treatment at first until an x-ray confirmed I had a cracked rib. After waiting for it to heal, I was treated with compassion. They recommended and encouraged a diet that would reduce inflammation. There was NEVER ANY CONDEMNATION for my physical condition - only positive encouragement. They gave me exercises to do to strengthen muscles that needed it. They answer questions and answer questions and again, no condemnation if I seem to ask the same ones again and again. They recognize that I have a lifetime of bad teaching to undo - what I was taught years ago in high school for stretching and posture is not good for my current condition. What I was taught about nutrition has caused weight gain and inflammation. They are patient and encouraging - never condemning. When I fall off the nutrition wagon into old habits, there is acknowledgment of the increase in inflammation, but no condemnation. When I forget that I have exercises to do, there is only encouragement. I have learned that I can trust them. I WANT to work hard for them (as well as feel better myself!) I never have to wait as my appointments are always on time. The staff are always friendly. We have worked with Dr Nate as well. He is very nice and also shows no condemnation. He demonstrates ways to move and correct posture and breathing and does it without causing embarrassment.

I have been a patient for a few years due to a chronic lower back problem and she has helped me tremendously. Shes very knowledgeable, and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend her. I went to see them after suffering from back pain for about 6 months, and within a handful of visits, my pain was gone, and they kept me out of pain until I moved away a couple of years ago. If I was still in the Overland Park area, I would still be a patient there! Heck, Dr. Therese even found my chiropractor in Atlanta for me! Go check them out!

And then working with Dr. Josh, not only did we fix my back, but we also talked about other things from poor sleep to stress management to chronic stomach aches and plantar fasciitis. Dr. Josh helped me fix ALL of these things, not just assigning more prescriptions. I had been spending $50 each month on prescriptions and now, I take a vitamin and have changed a few things in my diet and haven’t had a problem since! Dr. Theresa Finan gets to the root of the problem and makes suggestions to alter your everyday activities in a way to eliminate or reduce the affected area from getting worse or persisting. Her deep tissue technique into the muscle and nerves helps me on those certain times of the month (or this time of my life when my body is changing) to cope with and reduce the symptoms of dis-ease. I can honestly say that my anxiety level has dropped to an extent that it hardly ever happens, (not to mention without any meds). I feel that her work is training my body to overcome the stresses of life.
