Every 1 or 2 star comment is really truly the experience I had. The caseworker, Ms. Principe and her supervisor, Ms. Pirdawood were unprofessional when providing information for documents they should have provided more timely. I had to call/email them several times, nothing seems urgent at all, loaded me with excuses, and mostly didnt seem to want to be bothered. When I inquired I was also accused of harassing the supervisor and daringly invited to contact the Director and the State. I did speak with the Directors Admin, who was helpful in sending me the documents that the caseworker refused to send to me or get to me because she felt she did not need to be bothered with my questioning of why the process was dragging on so long. I will likely still pursue reaching out again to the Director and then file a complaint with the State. I will update this review later once I have spoken to Director and the State.

I am going to write something regarding the BENEFITS DEPARTMENT. Case workers work really hard to help each and every client. Case workers, work over time, and many many times this is NOT PAID, sometimes go home at 8pm, 9pm, case workers have high stress levels, often cry because they have such a HUGE work load. People on Google reviews are very quick to write, how they never return their calls or emails, but I bet they would never be able to handle this type of work. PLEASE PEOPLE HAVE COMPASSION FOR THE CASE WORKERS AND SOCIAL WORKERS WHO WORK HERE. This place is understaffed, case workers spend more time here than time with their own families and many many hours without pay, while many do receive snap / medicaid etc and are stay at home moms who enjoy raising their kids. Case workers CANT. Each case worker has to manage 600-1000 clients, Do you know how hard this is?? Case workers are hired and are NOT told this. Most case workers cant even afford to live in Loudoun, can you afford it? lucky you. MANY CASE WORKERS GO TO WORK NOT HAVING ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY FOOD FOR THEMSELVES , NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY THEIR RENT, NOT BEING ABLE TO PAY DENTAL WORK AND IRONICALLY DO NOT QUALIFY FOR ANY AID. DO YOU QUALIFY FOR AID? CONSIDER YOURSELF VERY FORTUNATE! Many case workers drive for hours to get to the office. BEFORE trashing these wonderful people please HAVE COMPASSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely handicapped accessible. Mental health offices are on third floor. First floor I believe is a medical facility and home/finance assistance (like unemployment services). Second floor is only for employees if I remember correctly.

Dr. Djafari that Ive seen for the last couple of years is nice but I am very frustrated with nursing dept. not following up accordingly. For the last month they have been dropping the ball left and right. Theres lack of professionalism and customer service and I am very very frustrated. The portal is a joke. You can send emails and theres no response. Ive never in my life given a review but the way theyve handled me the past month is unacceptable. Needless to say, I will no longer be a patient in their office. Theres really no urgency on their part to remedy.Sorry - meant to send to another site. I am trying to cancel this post.

Well I had to leave a few messages because my poor son had been to E.R. has a serious ear infection and I didnt know why they had dropped him all of the sudden out of his medicaid they said because he turned 1? Whatever that means, I applied over the phone and when I called to check they said they didnt have the application made me call several times and leave messages and today an extremely rude lady calls me almost lecturing me and no I dont appreciate it and wish I could report her its sad that they know they have to serve the public and one gets stepped all over and has to hush and beg it shouldnt be that way. On the other side of the coin when one loves its job its different the other night I went out like a trooper in the middle of the snow storm and the pharmacy was closing to get my sons meds yet two amazing lovely ladies treated me so well it got me all teared up because they were there to help even the last customer in the middle of such horrible storm and they made sure I received all the correct instructions this wasnt even over the phone so when such rude operators call from Family Services being a B*** theres no excuses other than you shouldnt be in that position.

Akeem holmes is a very rude heartless person. For some reason Medicaid stopped benefits for my disabled kid, and when I went to ask why and review his case since I never get a notice about that, he treated me like I am asking for charity. At the end my real case manager confirmed that indeed it was a mistake and they shouldn’t cut insurance without at least notifying me and giving me some time to figure it out. He was so rude, he made me cry very hard. I was never treated like that before by anyone, and even telling him to take a look again on my case bcz my kid is disabled and needs therapies, i can not just stop his therapies, he didn’t even care and ask me to bring all my paystubs (which I did and I was missing only one that later in I brought)Before finding my missing paystub, I told him I have taxes he said I PREFERE paystubs!!! I told him it is not about what u prefer it is about a mistake that u made and u didn’t even try to take a look at the case, it is about achild with disability needing his therapiesI don’t recommend u to talk to AKEEM HOLMES if u have any issues, he is a heartless person. My case manager was able to fix the problem, she is a very nice person with a big heart and she apologized for that. I will never forget how Akeem Holmes treated me.

I have been dealing with Loudoun Co Family Services in behalf of my elderly aunt to obtain Medicaid services for over a year. First go round they dropped the ball and my aunt could not get services. This time we have been working on it for 4 months. I cannot get the case manager, Ms Green(e), or a supervisor to return calls, though I have left 6 messages over the last 4 weeks. It is very difficult for me to actually go to the office but I have done that 3 times. This is an inexcusable way to run a business, and most assuredly no way to run human resources, when a persons health and well being are at stake. I know, as this is my vocational field.

I would like to rate the Housing Choice Voucher Program in Loudoun County, VA as 5 stars, but at this time I can only give it 3 stars.I ported from Washington County, MD in 2007 to Loudoun County, VA under my Section 8 (HCV). After my initial port, I had an excellent housing counselor, Barbara Berge, who is now retired from the Housing Department. At that time, everything was still done in writing and manually. I would have a meeting with my counselor well in advance of the time for my annual lease renewal certification date.I recall Ms. Berge making verification phone calls directly to my 401K management company while I was in the room. Since she has been gone, I think the verifications of my 401K were done by guessing how much my asset was worth. Now, due to budget cuts, my Reasonable Accommodations that were permanent are now possibly being taken from me.Special needs counselor, Cyndy Wyrick, has never even spoken to me about my disabilities or my need for special help regarding her Reasonable Accommodation Committee. The head supervisor of the counselors is AJ, Antwaun Jackson, and she seemed to give me incorrect forms and incorrect information regarding my permanent disability and the continuation of my accommodation to live in a handicapped 2 bedroom apartment. If I only had to rate my personal counselor, Christine Hillock, I would give her 4 stars, because I like her. Also, she seems to be working hard for me, despite the road blocks she meets every step of the way. My last communication with Housing was before the Christmas holidays, when Christine told me that my updated doctors letter would be reviewed by the Reasonable Accommodation Committee in January 2015. I have received no phone calls, messages, emails, letters or any other effort from the committee to verify my latest doctors letter with either my doctor, my case manager or me.I sure hope that HCV decides to help me keep safe and sound in my apartment of almost 7 1/2 years. At my age and with my disabilities, I would be unable to move. I fear eviction and homelessness. I dont know why the Special Needs counselor isnt doing everything at her disposal to make sure I dont have to leave my home. Thank you for listening to me. If anyone has any answers to my fears, please let me know.Sincerely, Mary Jane B.February 1, 2015
