I’ve worked here for a month and I’ve NEVER felt more of a connection to a team before. I drive over an hour because of how amazing this facility is. Everyone listens to every praise and concern, huge amount of teamwork. I’ve seen facilities where residents look sad and depressed, no one talking to them etc. Here, every employee will acknowledge every person in the hallway, rooms and common areas. Residents look happy, cheerful and feel at home. There’s so much activity and life here, it’s so welcoming from the time you walk in the door. I can’t imagine going anywhere else!

When we needed to put my mom into a facility before she passed. We chose Heritage Hall of Leesburg. The staff was compassionate and kind. They always answered our calls to ask about my mom when we were not there. They had the kindest aides that I had met in a long time.

I first came to Heritage Hall as a Nursing Assistant Student and only spent 5 days there gaining experience to become a CNA and within those 5 days I fell in love with the place! All the staff members including those you don’t see much on the floor are so happy, sweet, and welcoming. Everyone is family there. I wasn’t even an employee and they wanted to get to know me and wanted me to feel welcomed even with just the short time I was there. After those 5 days were over, I knew I just had to go back so I decided to work there and it has been such an amazing experience. They truly do an amazing job to train you when you’re new here. Making sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need to succeed in your position. As an employee, I see how hard they all work to make everyday the best day for every single resident and staff member. This facility is 100% a 5 star facility.Your loved ones will be cherished, loved and taken care of by the best people ever!!

Heritage Hall Leesburg is an exceptional skilled rehab facility with caring staff and strong patient advocates that will go above and beyond for each of them. Whether patients are their for short term rehab or long term care the staff will make every effort to make them comfortable and help them achieve their goals. It is truly a family atmosphere and I am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful team of professionals.

As an experienced Speech Therapist, I have worked at many Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care, and hospital settings. I have never encountered a more compassionate and caring facility in my travels. There will always be concerns about waiting time for call bells and perceived under-staffing in this environment. Unfortunately that is the nature of the beast because it is not individual or private care. However, I have witnessed staff that go above and beyond for their residents. In fact, when my dear grandmother experienced her first stroke, I sent her to a more “modern” facility, in hopes of cutting-edge rehab. She felt that the facility was cold and impersonal. After her second stroke, I advocated for Heritage Hall. She had an awesome experience and felt surrounded by compassionate staff. She said “it’s not the building, but the heart within it that makes all the difference”. Two years later, my lovely mother-in-law spent her final days at HH. Our family was treated with so much love it was overwhelming!Recently we have transitioned to a new building administrator and she is incredible! In the past 2 months, we have regained the “family” feeling that was lost during COVID. We are so blessed to have her energy and innovation. There are so many great things yet to come at Heritage Hall!

I have worked at Heritage Hall Leesburg for almost 5 years and let me tell you it is the best team I have ever had the pleasure to work with. The nurses and CNAs work hard and have caring hearts, they truly go above and beyond to ensure their patients receive the care and dignity they deserve. The housekeeping and laundry staff keep our building spotless and smell free. The rehab department is truly the best around, they know how to perform miracles! The dining staff work hard to feed our residents and our staff. The office staff and department heads are truly on top of their game every day, working hard to do admissions, billing, customer service and anything else that comes their way. Maureen Waters is truly the best social worker you will ever meet and makes every family and resident feel heard, special and individualized. Nancy Nicolson our own personal nurse practitioner is so intelligent, caring and hard working, I would trust any of my family members under her care. Lynn Winemiller has put her blood, sweat and tears into this building, she is truly number one it is an honor working on her team. Cindy, as our admissions director there is not much she won’t do, her kindness radiates through this building and her dedication is hard to beat. Natalie Largent our administrator, I can’t express enough how awesome it is to work under such an amazing leader, she is a godsend. These are just a few of the key members who run this building but just because I haven’t mentioned them by name doesn’t diminish the value that they bring to this building. Heritage Hall is family and I truly believe this team is unstoppable. #FiveStarFacility

My father was here at Heritage Hall for over two years. The nursing director and staff are outstanding. They took excellent care of him, and he loved them very much. I would trust this staff with any family member. Fancy buildings and facilities are not what is important. It is the staff that cares for your loved one that is the most important.

My mom lost her life in early January to poor protocol decisions made by Heritage Hall. She was there to rehab a broken ankle and recover from a kidney infection. She left the premises for 1 doc appt in early Dec and was put into quarantine--should have been 14 days but inexplicably became 30 days--during which time they rotated 2 other patients in as roommates. How should anyone in quarantine have a roommate? Also we witnessed (from the outside window) the roommate and another patient moving freely in and out of the room. Needless to say, that was a death sentence. She caught COVID and died within days. Im sure others may have died too--I know others got sick--but hard to know. She died at Inova so her death wont be counted as a death at this facility--but it should have.

Horrible place; The Administration here is very judgemental and they discriminate. Beware of this place & if you love your family member please don’t take them here. Or if you are looking for a career here look elsewhere. If you look at their most recent fired employees you will see a big pattern of Latinos & People of Color that have been fired. As for the other employees in this place they work hard I have seen with my own eyes but they are under this administration that really needs to change. Maybe after that then it will be a better place.

My Mom was at Heritage Hall for 5 years and passed away on October 1, 2019. She would have been 100 years old on February 15, 2020. She loved celebrating her last 5 birthdays with her friends and staff members. So in honor of her birthday, Im writing this review. When I look back at her time as a resident, she was very well taken care of and highly respected by the staff. She was able to spend her final days in peace and comfort. I am very lucky that Mom was loved and so well cared for.It takes a team of healthcare professionals and family members to support a positive long term care experience. Heritage Hall is all about providing a good quality of life for everyone. They really care!

This Heritage Hall healthcare facility smells clean and fresh (every wing), every room and floors were clean. Staff members were everywhere. Residents looked content. Ms. Johnson wasnt expecting to give a tour but did so graciously.Update: Dad admitted this evening after 5 PM. Staff gracious, attentive, professional, knowledgeable. He enjoyed his first meal which they brought to him promptly. We are extremely pleased.

I worked there until I had to take time off for medical reasons. When I started I was moved around like all new employees. Then a permanent position was open on a wing and I wrote the DON there an I got the position. An now since I had to take off due to medical reason I no longer have that position. She says everyone works there gets moved around and that is so not true . They have people in permanent spots and this is not far by no means

My Mother has been here for rehab on her hip. She is quite a pistol and I have to say that all of the staff I have encountered is wonderful. I am giving it a 4 only because it is true when you press the button at night you can not press or call to say how urgent your need is. The light comes on the outside of the room and stays on until they get there. This place does not smell like a nursing home. Everyone seems clean and happy as possible. They really try to do things to make life better.I am always well informed of my Mothers needs and changes.Thank you from the Powell family!

My mother, a retired nurse and former administrator of a nursing home, is being treated wonderfully by the cheerful, qualified staff. She sings praises about how she is being cared for as she rehabilitates from a hip and ankle fracture. Her only complaint is that breakfast is terrible. As a former nurses aide, I am impressed with the facility. It is cleanly and does not have an odor. They make a concerted effort to screen guests for illness. I sleep well at night knowing my mother is in caring hands.

These reviews are not from people who know anything about Rehabilitation centers. This is rehabilitation center for the elderly, NOT a nursing home. The place is highly staffed with many caring individuals in a small building to help cover everyones needs. If your not satisfied with the caretaker report them to the supervisor. But one person is not responsible for majority of the staffs behavior. Of course its not going to smell like a nursing home. If you couldnt keep your bowel movements and bladder under control your home wouldnt smell like roses either.

My mother recently spent 2 weeks at the Heritage Hall in Leesburg VA for rehab. As far as these type of facilities go, Heritage Hall really delivered... and unfortunately we have experience due to prior stays at two other rehab facilities in the DC area.We were very fortunate to have a wonderful primary nurse with a great bedside manner, which made my mothers stay comfortable and easy to manage. Our assigned social worker was very responsive to my questions and concerns despite her very busy schedule. My mother was also very pleased with the PT/OT & speech therapists.Often times the experience of being in skilled nursing care is less than perfect, but Heritage Hall in Leesburg really did very well given the grim circumstances that often put our loved ones there in the first place. Its a hard job and I am grateful for their help in getting mom back to the point she could be at home again.

My father in law has been a resident here for 2 years and we have had nothing but good things to say. Yes, there are the usual misplacing of belongings or short staff issues. However, he has never been hospitalized, never been hurt, fallen or anything else. We are constantly updated of any issues and we have care plan calls almost bi monthly. We visit randomly and he is always in good condition and we never have to worry. Natalie Twyman was our POC and was great at any and everything she did to make us comfortable.I am thankful we are at peace with his location and never having to worry if he is okay or not.

I would not recommend Heritage Hall to care for an elderly relative. My father was there for a couple of months and it was a terrible experience. We had problems with both the staff and the administration. Most of the nursing assistants were very nice and helpful but they are overworked & short staffed and my father would often be neglected by them. I would have to go find someone to assist him and that often turned into an extensive search as often there was not a single staff member in sight. There was one female nurse assistant that offended me in the fact that she wanted to hug me whenever she saw me. I tried to ward her off and back up but she was very aggressive and would press her body up against mine when she hugged me.The lady that works in admissions, Maureen, is extremely rude and I am surprised they have someone with her attitude dealing with potential customers. There are better nursing homes to choose from than this one.

This site makes you at least have 1 star to post...otherwise I would have zero stars. Heritage Hall is a terrible place. You MUST visit before someone you love goes there for rehab or other services. And when you go, stay for a bit to really take it all in. We had to rescue (and I mean rescue) our mom out of that place. People are ignored and not treated with respect or like adults....very sad, it isnt right! DO NOT SEND ANYONE THERE!!!!!!!

The definition of neglect. The patients are constantly forced to wait a long time (and sometimes they just go all over themselves because the nurses make them wait so long) just to use the bathroom because there is only 1 person actually off their lazy ass helping, they didnt even know my grandmother was diabetic so they didnt give her her medication for it FOR A WEEK, and staff is unfriendly. The night staff is terrible, absolutely repulsive. Go to the Inova Rehab place instead of this dump.
