The whole experience was way beyond my hopes or dreams. Dr. Pollock had read all my recent reports and issues. He KINDLY addressed each one of them in order and brought me concern and PEACE OF MIND. He explained each guidance he gave me to follow for successful life patterns. His personal concern fro me as a person was comforting and encouraging. Thank you so much!

I was shocked to discover that I had a severely leaking mitral valve that was going to require surgery. I was told by my doctor that had to see “the surgeons” and they could answer all my questions. The carnival that ensued was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I was handed a referral form that had zero information about “the surgeons” that I was supposed to see. I asked the receptionist where the information was so that I could make an appointment. I said that I have never received a referral form with zero information about the people or facility that I was supposed to see. She gazed at the form for a while and when she saw that I was correct, there was no information about “the surgeons”, she asked her coworker something and then proceeded to hand me the useless referral form back and said, “Someone will be calling you within 48 hours.” This made absolutely no sense to me so I called back and I was correct. Nobody was thinking about calling me and furthermore, when I FINALLY wrestled a name for this “surgeon”, I called Dr. Sarin’s office at INOVA and they were surprised that I was given such terrible instructions. Dr. Sarin’s office made tremendous effort to squeeze me into their schedule. They informed me that I would need to bring my echocardiogram on a CD for the doctor to review. I called VA Heart to see how to go about obtaining this CD for my upcoming appointment with Dr. Sarin, and they gave me bad information again! I went to their office in Falls Church to sign a release form and they told me that it would be 5-7 business days for the CD. I told them that I NEEDED that CD for my appointment and they said they would call me. Again, because I didn’t trust their procedures, I called back three days prior to my appointment with Dr. Sarin to express my concern about obtaining the CD. After being transferred 3 times, a young lady told me that they can burn a CD on the spot and that I would be able to pick up the CD the next day. Are you kidding me? My experience with VA Heart has been exponentially worse than ANY frustrating episode that I have ever had at a fast food drive through. When a person’s heart health is involved, that level of miscommunication and APATHY Is completely unacceptable. Is that the level of attention and care that they would give to their own family members? I would hope not.I am NOT that guy that likes to make a scene or besmirch anyone’s motives r character but I know apathy and incompetence when I see it. I have found another cardiologist group and will never step foot in VA Heart again.I some advice for you folks at VA Heart. Care more about what you do and how you do it.

I moved to Virginia five years and have been going to Virginia Heart since. My doctor Sara Kulangara always took the time to listen and made sure she provided the best care. The staff are excellent. Estefanny and Alexandria treated me feel like I am a VIP. Thank you so much.

Dr. Aziz takes the time to talk through your health history with you, he cares about your overall health, not just your heart health, and he is a very kind doctor. Basically, the doctors and staff are very professional but not without compassion.During this period of Covid-19 pandemic procedures have been put in place for safe office visits. Also, virtual visits are easily handled and access is simple..Keep up the good work.

This practice is top notch in providing a superb level of care. In 2013 my husband survived an aortic dissection and under Dr. Bazazs care he continues to thrive. Dr. Bazaz is a doctor who combines both compassion and competence, the end result being that his patients know they are receiving care from the best cardiologist in Northern Virginia.

We did a FaceTime meeting to discuss health issues. It began on time and Dr Bazaz gave me his full attention and advice.I find Telehealth with Virginia Heart to be an excellent method to get medical information if a face to face meeting is not required.

Dr Kulangaras office provided excellent diagnosis and fine care.The technician gave a thorough ECG before Dr Kulangara listed concerns about my carotid arteries. Dr Kulangara pointed out an ultrasound service which appears helpful.

I had been seeing Dr Marder for about 4 years. He was fine, not great but not horrible either. Until my last visit the other day. I had to take my twin 2 year old girls. When he walked in to great us his comment “wow they don’t miss a meal. Don’t worry the can grow up to be tall and thin”!!!!! What??? Who says that? Plus he is supposed to be a professional. Nope, very rude and no bed side manners. I wish I said yes that can still grow up but what’s your excuse for being rude????

So happy there are many different places to go in Loudoun County because this is terrible.Call because of heart issue numbness in arm and pain in chest. Called and said they would call me back with in 24hrs. Mean while went to the ER that night and had everything checked out. The next day these people didnt call till late in day and then said they couldnt take a hospital referral so no appt. They do not care about the patients. Save your life go elsewhere!

Andrew was amazing. I suspected I was back in Afib and when it was confirmed Andrew made time in his schedule to see me the same day. He was unbelievablibly caring and took the time to discuss what he felt needed to be done. His attitude was one of extreme concern and made me feel comfortable about the necessity of yet another cardioversion. I would see him again w/o hesitation unlike the last PA I saw.
