Kudos to RNs: Kim, Delacey and Kiesha*Kim, My Bend in the Road has been My Journey and this journey has been Gods way of saying..You need to advocate for others because our Lord definitely chose my brain!;) Lord willing, My Journey will be published!PT:Mrs. Jennifer Hapner..My Sister who was with me from the beginning and to the end! My cheerleader and truly one of my biggest advocates!OT:Mr.David Stricker, Owner & Operator of Performance Care and contracted service provider for Suncrest In Home Healthcare. Suncrests decision to bring You and your company aboard was superb..As Forrest Gump plainly said, thats all I have to say about that. From the first day, if you recall, I told you YOU would be my OT!:)Do not ever forget the orange and miracle glove...pursue it brother, I amongst all of my twelve caretakers believe in you!The above mentioned individuals are extraordinairre much like their patient. The difference between ordinairre and extraordinairre is the Extra. My journey, with Suncrest began on Saturday, September 19th, 2015 when they sent an angel by the name of Kim to my home to decide what my Conditions of Admissions services that would be ordered by my extraordinairre PCP, Dr. W. West, who is worth his weight/wait. Almost everything was checked off on Conditions of Admission page. To make a long story short, as a former Special Educator, I was familiar with Related Services or Directives as Suncrest calls them. IE: PT, OT, Skilled Nursing, Social Services,Home Health Aide and last but not least, Speech. I had a craniotomy clipping for a 6.3mm aneurysm and suffered a stroke among other diagnosis. May I add, the first five years of a childs life is imperative as their personalities are developing and the first four months of a stroke victims directives are also imperative. Unfortunately, Suncrest nucleus (their office) is responsible for making sure orders are implemented. I ask myself why I did not receive OT or Speech until after Christmas? I know for a fact that the insurance company authorized services the first week in October. One has no idea the run around I was given. I am actually appalled at their Lebanon office for taking advantage of a stroke patient. Some had the audacity to document I refused services and that it was hard to schedule appointments with me. This is ludicrous. During this time, I was unable to be left alone thus, I had a total of twelve caretakers through my journey who could attest to my flexibility of appointment s after 5 p.m. and on some Saturdays. Be ware these documented anecdotes go to medical records for insurance. Many were not familiar with my prior level of functioning. Everyone has a job to do ..Do your own job. For example, it is not a Speech Therapists job to worry about insurance. Surely, Suncrest has someone to cross Ts and dot Is and make sure that job description is done effectively and efficiently. In closing, I pray for you all. One may hide, but I assure you cannot hide from The Great Physician, Our God, he is the all knowing. Also, lock your medicines in a safe to prevent any Nosy Rosies behaving like a mouse after cheese. I praise the Lord for the gifts/skills he placed in my related service providers. With warmest regards,Mrs. Morris
