My husband liked this place but for such large square footage for the store, it didnt feel like there was much in there. We left with two shirts but would have gladly purchased more if there had been more stuff.

Good selection of flies and gear. It is high end. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Many of the flies are barbless as well. Also has a selection of various pet supplies

Love this store and always have to visit it while visiting my parents in kc. Joe who teaches the fishing classes is awesome and I highly recommend the fly fishing 101 and 201 classes.

Had what I was looking for.

Great, if highly priced, outdoor goods. Dont get me wrong, the price tag gets you some high quality clothes, and stylish if you dig the woodsman (or woman) vibe. We popped in right before a presentation in the store, and they had food and drinks available, though we didnt partake. Bigger fly fishing section than Id have imagined, seems like a nice resource for avid and deep pocketed fishing fans. Staff was super friendly as well.

If you’re a Johnson county house wife I’m sure you’ll love it. If you actually fish it’s pretty sad, one of the worst stocked Orvis stores I’ve ever been too.

Every time I walk into the store I am always astonished by the amount of customer service I receive. The folks in this store are grade “A” which is considerably better than other Orvis stores I’ve been to in other states where customer service was definitely lacking. If you don’t get your fly fishing equipment at this Orvis store and you’re in the KC area, you are missing out. Skip the big box stores that lack local knowledge and expertise! Joe Keevan, the fly fishing manager within the store, is a extremely valuable resource for any angling skill level and his weekend 101 & 201 classes are fantastic for those interested in getting into the hobby. Will always enjoy the quality of Orvis products regardless if that means paying a few bucks more for their products over the cheaper alternative. Even if it means I’m at the expense of my colleagues teasing me that everything I own is Orvis! It’s a great store and brand to “invest” in, you won’t be disappointed!

Customer service here is way above expectations! Wayne Smith took great care of this lotal customer from another state, and Joe Keevan got me ready for the big fishing trip out west that begins tomorrow! I left in the middle of the hurricane and was unable to stop at my local Orvis. I searched for an Orvis Store and this one was the only one btw Memphis and Wyoming on our route. We still had to drive 2 hours out of our way round trip...but I needed to get some fkys, get rigged up, get advice for fishing in a new area, and also return some shoes to get a credit on my account and not have to carry them.w me. They helped me w all of that and much more. The young lady was very helpful as well...didnt catch her name. Great team...kinda glad now it worked out like it did! Thanks guys!
