This place has been so helpful to me

If I could give zero stars I would! They cant keep med providers, no active medical director and the services are incredibly underwhelming! My son goes here for now because theyre the only ones in the area that take his insurance. I have had case management that has told me I have more knowledge and experience than her and she doesnt know what to tell me. If you have an emergency, they send you to the ER where you wait for hours for a teleconference with someone with no prior knowledge about your kid who make ridiculous recommendations. No one returns phone calls and when you refuse to leave any more messages, you get a nurse who is antagonistic and plain rude. When you treat patients who are physically aggressive to everyone in the household and you cant get them in for months for an appointment and dont bother to call back, you should expect there is going to be a level of frustration when they finally do get to talk to someone. Being sarcastic and antagonistic only escalates the situation and does no good for an already stressed out parent!

Only been in 3 times for my son. Not all insurances accepted but the guidance center is a good resource for the city. I love how they are helpful. And professional. Looking forward to more visits.

The lady who answered the phone was pleasant but uneducated in regards to their facility and providers. She didnt even know how many counselors they had. When I asked specific questions the only answers I received were um i think so and probably. After asking to speak with someone else, I finally found out that out of 10 (ish) counselors, there are only 2 for those with insurance and they are basically booked for good. So if you have insurance to pay for their services, they might be able to see you once every 6-8 weeks.From their website We envision a healthy community of people who can access and benefit from state of the art integrated health care which results in an enhanced quality of life for all - but I guess only if you dont have insurance.

The people have always been kind and very helpful (aside from the cranky lady at the front desk that everyone who goes there knows who Im talking about!) Therapists are awesome. Case managers are spectacular! My med provider is also at The Guidance Center and I go to support groups at The Guidance Center and the staff is super amazing! Seriously, The Guidance Center has helped save my life quite a few times.

They treat me fairly but I see others that dont seem to be getting the assistance. But I have improved my living situation and my mental health. My case manager is very supportive.

Really great place. The services they offer are indispensable to my family. They are very empathetic and good with my young children as well.

I called with what I felt was an absolute emergency regarding my 9 year old son, crying and begging for help. I was transferred around, no one answered, left voicemails for a few people and no one ever returned my call.A few years prior to this, I had gone in requesting help for myself (a 30 year old woman) and was sent off with a very friendly woman who took me downstairs where cartoons were painted on the walls, there were childish decorations all over and she explained to me that she worked with children and would be the one talking to me. I was very confused but she made it sound like this was normal procedure and everyone started out this way?? I think her last name was Green and this wouldve been about 3 years ago?Ive yet to receive the help my son or I needed from that place.There have been more instances where the guidance center failed to help us but those were the most disheartening.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. The first time I arrived at the facility, the receptionists were very unwelcoming and rude. I didnt see my actual therapist for weeks. Around October 24th I wanted to request another therapist and I had to call, not once, twice, three, four, but five times to get an update on it. It took me literally half of November calling them to get this done. When I finally called the last time, I was told they forgot to put in the request. Horrible therapy. My first appointment, they pushed (no pressured me) to take pills instead of actually getting to the root of my problems. They gave me ZERO coping exercises, and when they did, she literally went to a Pinterest page and pulled up some random quote. They never actually listened to my problems, they always had to contradict EVERYTHING I had to say. Often times, they made me feel stupid for feeling the way I did, and implied that I was lying through half of it. Id 100% recommend taking your business to another facility. Trust me. Dont waste your time with these people.

Havent been there in years. Scheduled a appt and i forgot the time , called and the lady that answered was very rude because i missed the appointment. I asked to reschedule, and she acted like she wasnt going to reshedule me at all. Its not like im the only one that has ever missed an appointment, i worked at pcp office and thats not a way to treat a patient. Makes me rethink if my child should be going there. I have a few family members going there and sees some so called social worker named MALLORY and she is not only rude to the parents but also to the children, she is one of the worst social workers I have ever seen in my life. For her to call a 5 yr old and a 9 yr old a lier and be so hateful if she doesnt agree or believe what is said SMH is just outrageous . Leavenworth guidance center is turning into nothing but a joke.
