Dragan did a very good job on my hair!I have long, thick, curly hair and I struggle to find the energy to maintain it on a daily basis so it was a tad matted and had a bunch of knots. I had 2 appointments with Dragan, one for my wedding day and one for a trial a week before the wedding. 2 weeks before the wedding I call to try to make an appointment for a friend of mine, only to find out that he cant that day because hes out to some hair event 😳 And yeah, he was gonna call me. The salon was clean and tidy. I went in for highlights and presented at picture of the hair color. I showed the picture and the hair stylist looked at it for 2 seconds and said she could do it. I initially asked for ash brown and came out with “dirty blonde” hair. Told the stylist my concern and proceeded to tell me I did not know my colors. While blowing my hair, she vigorously pushed down the comb into my face and scalp. She stopped midpoint and stated she could not do it anymore and sent me home with wet hair. The service was unprofessional and unpleasant. For future reference, please take the time, patience, and effort to see what you’re customers want. If you do not know what you’re doing, tell your customers and we will find someone else…

Hair MD Salon is the only salon I go to. Dragan and his staff are absolutely amazing! His expertise in hair cuts, coloring, highlights, and styling is unmatched. I have been looking for a hair stylist for a while after moving into the area and finally found Dragan! He is the best! I have thick curly hair and not every stylist knows how to manage my type of hair. He does a great job cutting, styling, and coloring! Keratin treatment also worked pretty well. He worked fast, efficiently, and I was out in no time, with a hair ready for a Red Carpet night. I have gotten a massage there too, and again, was not disappointed. If you like an honest hairstylist that knows there stuff you should go see Dragan. I had highlight my hair professionally before but the result wasn’t always what I wanted, so I bleached my hair at home and after a couple of times of that I ended up losing all my hair length and volume. Having very curly curly hair I’m hesitant to let people cut and straighten my hair. I’m happy I found Dragan because he listens well and provided professional advice. I love my new highlights and how my hair feels over all!

I went in on a Sunday afternoon to have my sons hair cut. He is always in a rush to get this chore over with. Dragan was there and had my son in and out in no time. Very friendly, professional, and my boy looks great! Even my son said, Wow! That was a lot faster than the other places. I booked my appointment the same day, but told them they wouldnt have to rush with me. Mom needs pampering!

I wasnt planning on coming to this salon but Im glad I decided to stop by. I had just came back from Kays hair salon in lawrenceville and asked them to do an ombre. They did not listen to what I wanted and left the bleach far too long on my hair and fried it. I would not recommend this hair salon. My hair looked awful. I was going to go to sallys which is in the same complex to try to fix it myself but went here instead. The lady who did my hair was very accommodating and kind. She did an amazing job and gave me what I asked for. I would recommend this salon to anyone. Excellent service and staff.

BLACK NATURALS - CAUTIONThe only reason I am not giving this place one star is because all of the staff and stylists I met, with the exception of the one who is the subject of this review, were kind, professional, and courteous to me during this experience.This was quite sometime ago, but I still feel humiliated. I booked an appointment over the phone. I was a first time customer. But I was frank and candid. I noted that I have natural hair and asked if the salon serviced black naturals. I just didnt want to run into an awkward situation. The person on the phone assured me the salon did and scheduled the appointment. When I arrived, the stylist was nearly 30 minutes late for the appointment because he had to pick up his son from school. Then he proceeded to take a smoke break before he spoke to me. However, I remember how late the buses ran when I was in school, so I let it slide. Then, he told me he doesnt generally style natural hair. I was surprised because it was a young black man with dread locs...but I said it was fine - I could leave. He said he would consult another black stylist in the salon. I believe her name was Katrina. She had to explain to him what I meant when I said I wanted a trim without a press (so my curl pattern on my fro would not be ruined.) At this point, I just wanted to leave. But any time I tried, the male stylist got defensive, said he had been doing hair several years and could do any texture and that he just wanted me to be aware he doesnt usually handle hair like mine, and my cut may not be as thorough as it would be if I just got a press. He proceeded to do the trim, combing my hair very roughly and making rude comments about how this is why he only does white hair. I kept trying to leave but he would tell me it was fine despite being passive aggressive. When it was over, I paid and left as soon as I could. I believe this stylist was named Preston, but again, it has been a while, so I welcome a correction.If you are a black natural woman and book an appointment with this salon, make sure it is with Katrina. Otherwise you will be subjected to the same dehumanizing treatment. The rest of the staff including the receptionist were amazing though, so I do not want to deter others.

Im a medical student in Augusta, and I still only get my hair done here when I am in town. The salon has everything you could need in one place, is very clean, and professional. The last thing I had done was ombre highlights, and Dragan got my ends to a shade of golden blond that had me looking like I spent all summer on the beach instead of indoors. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality and reasonably priced hair salon.

I love Hair MD Salon! Dragan (the owner) has been cutting my hair for six years now. Dragan is always so polite and kind, and treats my son so well when I bring him along. I moved 20 minutes away from Lawrenceville in 2016, but I love Dragan and Hair MD Salon so much that I still only come here to have my hair cut once a month. I cannot recommend this place enough!
