Now that I’ve moved away from Lawrence, I know that the staff at The Fix really spoiled me! I’ve never gotten such consistently amazing haircuts. They saw me through bangs, blunt lobs, bouncy waves and so much more in the last few years. They were recommended to me by a friend and for that I’m forever grateful! You won’t find more a professional, talented and friendly group at a salon.

EDIT!!:Kayla the manager reached out to me regarding my review, she invited me to return and would do it for free. She was very kind over the phone so i quickly accepted. It was totally worth going back there. She completely redyed my hair black and even gave me a free deep conditioning treatment. Ive never seen my hair so shiny and beautiful. She also did it in about 2 hours which is very quick considering how much hair I have. Kayla gave me fantastic customer service and most importantly fantastic hair service!!OLD POST:A bit disappointed by this place. I decided to come somewhere local because I didnt feel like going all the way to KC for my usual spot. the prices online said that dye was around 60-70 for all over color. Because I have a lot of hair I assumed it would be for sure more than that. It ended up being 145$ including tip for a experience im honestly not that pleased with. It definitely wasnt worth the price for what i left with. I told my stylist i just wanted a bit of a trim to get off dead ends and to all over color. She did dye my whole head, but what I was most afraid of happened. There are splotches on my hair that were missed and are noticable! I have had most of my friends immediately spot them!! :( She curled my hair to make a wave effect, but it left my ends feeling like straw. Usually whenever I go to a salon my hair generally feels fantastic after, but when I left my hair felt extremely dry. The picture below was after I washed it so my hair was looking/feeling better. The splotches are clearly shown! More on the back too. I feel like I couldve gone to a beauty brands to get my hair done at a lower cost and a better result which is saying A LOT!Now, I will say the lady who did my hair was extremely sweet and very personable. I do appreciate her time, but I feel like a better job couldve been done. Dont think Ill be back unfortunately.

These cosmetologists can really cut hair - including curly hair! Theyre great about working my friends in for a cut, but this year for a gift my teenager wanted a lavender platinum silver dye job. They nailed it! But youll definitely want an appointment for something big like that!

Ive gone about three times now, the first couple with extremely long hair and the third time to do a complicated, unconventional haircut. They always do so well and make me feel relaxed and happy. They are very professional and the shop talk is always appropriate. Theyre my go to haircut place in Lawrence 😁

I do not usually review places, but I feel this is a must. I was referred to The Fix Salon, because I’m not from here but the referral did not do them justice. I went in a week ago and I was a little apprehensive at first because I have extremely tight curls and I wanted it straightened and trimmed. The stylist was super nice, very knowledgeable about my type of hair, and she did just what I wanted. It was super straight, shiny, and the trim was perfect, great job!

The fix salon is a great place to get your hair done and have a good time while doing it. Each time I’ve came, my appointments have taken hours due to what I asked for, but the girls here make the time seem like 30 minutes. On top of that, Kayla really brought back my confidence by giving me the hair of my dreams! Thank you Kayla and the rest of the Fix salon!

Horrible. I am trying to grow out the color nightmare they created on my hair. It was absolutely ruined.I was new to town and didnt want to wait until I could get home to go to my regular stylist. I thought I would give them a shot. I couldve had a friend do it in my bathroom and had better results. I made a special trip home to get it fixed only to learn it was so damaged by Fix that the best thing was to just let it grow out.I spent $120 at Fix to have my hair trashed. Never again.

The greatest place for females to have haircuts. The environment is clean and the ladies are wonderful.

I had an awful experience! Megan was doing my color and she left the bleach on ends so long it made the ends of my hair crunchy (her word, not mine)and she had to cut them off. Told me not to tell manager that she cut it or I would be charged more! Outrageous! Then when she did additional color for balayage, the roots came out hot red! She destroyed my original haircut and completely fried my hair. It has taken 2 years to get my hair back in reasonable condition, by myself, because I am so scared to try another so called professional . Also, yanked my silver stud earring out and said theres no drain cover so its gone. Then I was charged a discounted rate of $100!

If you come here make sure u get any one but Kayla. She shows up late to appts. Mine was at 10, I got there at 9:50 and she didnt even touch my hair till 10:20. And she will nickle and dime you, anything she changed up charge for she will. I was talking to the front deck lady about product discounts and she flat out refused to honor what the front desk lady originally told me.I have been in this fix before and had Sue help me and the experience was completely different. (And was very pleasant with a different tech)

I recommend The Fix Salon! Color, cuts, styles, they even do nails and eyelashes!

I have been there for 3 years and the stylists are all very professional. I have really thick and sleek hair and it is always a pain to find a stylist that can deal with it, here I found more than one. The price is very reasonable too (haircut with shampoo!).

I use Emily, she listens to what you want. She has always done a good job
