I have been coming here for about 4 years and I love it. But today I had an awful experience. I had to cancel last minute due to one of my daughters has covid symptoms. They charged me $60 for canceling the same day. I understand I should’ve called the day before. But my daughter started showing symptoms in the middle of the night. I am considerate for the employees and other people. I feel like situations like this they shouldn’t charge the no show. I don’t mind showing proves.

Where do I start? This practice used to be awesome when it was Family Eye Care. I never had an issue. Now I’m not sure who’s running the show but we had the absolute worst experience this year 2021. My boyfriend who I referred over, huge mistake, ordered two prescriptions to be made... his daily and work safety glasses. Our appointment mind you was in January 2021... we are on the last few weeks in April and guess what? No safety glasses and it took until the end of March to receive his daily’s. I understand that a lot is involved with the insurance carrier as well but never did the office take it upon themselves... the only thing I would hear is the carrier this the carrier that. I spoke with my boyfriends carrier and they advised me opposite information than the office tells me. Long story short I canceled the rest of our order and they so kindly the gave us a “$12.00 credit” 😂 so to say our time and patience was worth that to them and the loss of two customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

We have been customers for over 15 years, and have never been disappointed. From the schedule call through the whole process, the attention to detail and warmth makes the visit enjoyable. Great Team! Great People!

I have been a patient for close to 15+ years and without fail, every single one of my visits to Laurel Family Eye Care has been nothing short of excellent. From the initial check-in, to my eye exam with Dr. Ghannam and ending with my sit-down with the assigned technician to discuss new frames, benefits coverage and check-out, I encounter professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail. Truly more of a family-oriented atmosphere that I highly recommend!

I gave these incompetent people my glasses to put in my prescription. My glasses were absolutely fine when I gave it to them. The next day after I get them back a screw is missing and my glasses are falling apart. They tell me “they’re not reliable for glasses”. I don’t remember signing anything about that. Then they say “after wear your glasses become loose”. All these excuses. My glasses were fine until they had them. They have special screws that will not become loose unless you have a have the tool to unscrew them. Either they didn’t put the screw back or they didn’t tighten it properly. Either way it’s their fault. Now I have to get new frames. Never returning here.

Been coming here for almost two decades, despite moving 20+ miles away 17 years ago. Docs and their staff are great. Highly recommended.

First, the eye doctor was trying to promote to his photography business during examination which put me in uncomfortable situation. Second, I was charged higher than what I usual get charged eventhough this is within nerwork. Finally, when I got home I realized that the contact prescription was only for one year and the eye doctor has switched me from the brand Ive been using for 10 years to another without letting try or know!!

It is always a pleasure going to this eye doctor. The staff is always pleasant and personable. They somehow manage to deal with the COVID-19 requirements and still have a great working relationship. I also enjoy the eye doctor, who is always kind enough to provide me with a letter to my primary care physician to give an explanation of the exam results.

It was our first time going here. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Every step in purchasing Eyewear for my children was explained to me in a manner that made me feel comfortable that I wasnt paying money out of pocket for no reason. We will definitely be back!

Dr.Ramphal did a great job giving adequate time for thorough eye exam. I will recommend 100% to family and friends. Swift process. Quick service. Ive been going to ICare in Laurel for years. A few months ago, I purchased two pair of glasses. I recently realize that both had issues with the fit. I went back in to have them adjusted. Roberto was AMAZING! Very efficient, friendly and helpful. Im forever grateful to him!

Excellent service. I went in with my 2 kids and the doctor and staff treated us so kindly. We did have a longer wait time than usual but I didnt mind. The frames the young lady chose for me were personalized to my style. It was great from start to finish.

Excellent service from the time we walked in until we walked out. The front desk is very professional and polite, very personable and helpful. The doctor was amazing and very friendly. He made me and my children very comfortable during our eye exam. The young lady who helped us pick out glasses was magnificent. She made my daughter feel confident in her choice of new glasses. She helped us get a good price for what our insurance did not cover. The whole vibe in the office is family oriented and friendly. I would definitely recommend you bring you and your family here.

The optometrists need to evaluate their team and customer service skills. The optometrists are excellent, however, the customer service is horrible. I have been a loyal patient since 2005, and bought two pairs of glasses yearly since. I called yesterday to reschedule my apt because my daughter has the flu. The front desk rep who answered was rude and had no empathy. Since I pay monthly and out of pocket for services, I decided to leave and invest in a place that will treat me with respect.

The customer service at this practice is really personable and friendly. Being an intuitive person, I am sensitive to attitudes. The staff and clinicians are very warm and friendly, as well a professional. I cant say enough good things about this place. I have not had this caliber of service since I was a child. Aside from the Independent Pharmacy where I get my prescriptions, I would have to say that this is the best optician anywhere. Thank you.

First thing Id like to point out is that the hours listed on Google and your website are incorrect for your new COVID-19 hours. I drove 35mins to pick up my glasses at 9am, since thats when your website says youre open, come to find out theres a sign on the front door that says you dont open until 10am. Very inconvenient for those of us that have a 9-5 job and try to squeeze time in for a pickup.I have been going to this office religiously for well over 10 years now, and I love Dr. Sami, hes very personable and asks how my family is and how is going. I have and will only use Marissa to pick out my glasses, she is honest with me and goes over any discounts that my insurance is currently offering. She also does her best to get me the best price on my glasses/sunglasses!However, this office has been going downhill for about a year or so now. The doctors seem to rush you through the process and when I havent had Marissa to help me with my glasses selection the technicians that I have had are not personable, and dont follow up on action items.It took me 6 months to get my pair of glasses, now dont get me wrong I understand that COVID-19 put a damper in things for awhile and Im 100% receptive to that. But I called numerous times to check on the status of my glasses and all they could tell me was that they werent in yet, not once did they offer to call the manufacturer to check up on them for me. That wouldve prevented me from calling so often because at that point I would have more information other than your office doesnt have them yet.I had a pair of frames come in and I didnt like the color, so they were supposed to order the frames in another color that I had picked out. I yet again called to find out the status of them after a month or so had gone by, and I received the same answer that they werent in the office yet. Yet again, nobody offered to check up on them. Then I finally stopped letting other people assist me and I specifically asked for Marissa. Come to find out they were NEVER ORDERED! What wouldve happened had I not followed up on the incompetent technicians at this office? I would still be waiting for my glasses to be finished and thats a fact because I just received them this week! I would drive 35mins just to go to this office because I was a loyal patient and they had never disappointed me in the 10+ years that Ive been going here. Rest assured I will not be back to this office. Good customer service is a dying breed! Sorry Dr. Sami and Marissa, let me know if the office gets back to the way it was a few years ago and I might consider giving your office another try, until then good luck!

Ive been going here for about 5-6 years and its always an enjoyable experience. The receptionist, assistants, and doctors arw always cordial, respectful, patient and very helpful. They take time to review all insurance coverage and options to make sure I understand prior to making selections. My only thing is the frame selection. They have something for everyone but Im very picky although Ive always found a frame with their help. I will continue to visit and have told others about Laurel Family Eyecare as well.

LOVE this place! I brought my daughter here a year ago and her follow up this year she was in need of glasses. She wasnt too happy about it, but the staff were supportive and helped out! I made an appointment for myself shortly afterwards and things, once again, went smoothly! I appreciate all of the staff!

These folks do an outstanding job of taking care of your eye are needs. The doctors are very professional and knowledgeable. Since I am Diabetic, they are able to dilate my eyes to check for any problems related to this disorder and refer me to an ophthalmologist if needed. The optical staff are extremely courteous and go the extra mile to help your get the best style and fit in glasses.

This Place is the best, I came in the same day and got an appointment. I never had issues with my eyes before so, I did not know what to expect but they were all great . You could tell that the love what they do and it s not just a job for them .

This is a totally professional, competent facility. I highly recommend I Care Dr. At my appointment, the front office staff processed me quickly (I was a new client) and got me to the optometrists assistant, who helped me choose frames and fully explained what my insurance would and would not cover. He did not try to push expensive options on me. The optometrist was great. He did a thorough exam and talked to me about progressives. I got my glasses two days later.

Staff are very friendly you can talk to them like your own friends. They help you like you are their own family. The doctors are very professional at the same time. They price matched everything for me as well. If you live close to it, must give it a try!

A one stop shop for a comprehensive eye exam and eyeglasses. They have a very competent and friendly staff that is ready to take of all your eye care needs. I highly recommend the I Care Doctor.

I gave 2 stars because the optometrists are great, however, the customer service is terrible. The technicians do not understand the various insurances, do not support you in choosing eyewear that will work with your prescription and the ALL have difficulty providing accurate information. Frame selections are limited and they don’t offer specials! I do not recommend selecting glasses from this place.

Great experience. Everyone is so caring and friendly. Dr. Ghannam is excellent. He did a thorough exam and knew exactly what my v eye issue was. He explained it clearly.

LOVE THIS LOCATION.* I had just started going to this location and my daughter loved it. The doctor noticed in my glasses from MY EYE DOCTOR that it had way to much medication for it being the first time I was wearing glasses l. Spent $598.00 with My eye doctor. Went to the laurel location and he started off soft with my new glasses and I love them. ALOT. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT. 😊😊😊😇😇😇😇

It is always a pleasure to visit this eyecsre center. I have been going here since I was a child. I moved to Florida 5 years ago and I still come back to Maryland to go to this optometrist. They are so helpful and I enjoy my glasses or contacts every time.

Im giving five stars because the examination was thorough. Additionally, the doctor and his staff went out of their way to provide assistance throughout the process from the time I walked in the door to selecting and sizing glasses.

Wonderful dedicated people but the lab they use produces poor quality work. Three times too many in 21/2years. Two times they made incorrect lenses and 3rd time the anti glare coating was coming off within few months. I will not use them again as long as they use that lab.

Everyone here from check in to the doctor to check out was really kind and helpful I took my 82 year old grandmother here for her yearly exam. My daughter is also seen here regularly and is always pleased with their service

Everyone at this facility was a pleasure to be around! Dr. Ghannan has been taking care of me for years and I don’t regret the choice. My son had an eye emergency. After calling our doctor, we were told they would not be able to fit him in. I Care took us immediately! They were AMAZING and helped my son be out of pain. The entire staff was kind and compassionate and Dr. Sami Ghannam knew what he was doing!We will now only use I Care as our own. You and your family are in good hands with this team!

After several years of failing eyesight and misdiagnosis from other eye doctors I finally found Laurel Family Eye Care. The staff is extremely friendly and the doctor is excellent. He diagnosed me correctly and has been treating me with five star service ever since. I was found to have a condition Id never even heard of but the doctors have done everything to explain it to me and to help me get the treatment I need. The staff goes out of their way to assist me in anything that I need. I actually moved away from Laurel over a year-and-a-half ago but I still wont go to another eye doctor. It is worth it to make the trip back to Laurel. I recommend Laurel Family Eyecare very highly.

Sami Ghannam is great doctor. Came here for first time when referred by TLC for my yearly post-Lasik checkups. Appointment was for 11am and I was out of there by 11:30. Kind of strange that you sign in at one door and then the receptionist walks you over next door (they should put signs on the doors to keep people from walking into wrong side), but it works!

The glases they made me are the worst!! I have to buy the cleaning towel and liquid separate because they dont give you that plus they are so bad that you never can see clearly with them !!! I just got them last week and I was only able to use them 1 day!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ghannam since he took over the practice. His contact lens fittings have been excellent. With the gas permeable bifocal contacts he prescribed for me I am able to see all distance ranges comfortably and much better than most people my age. He also keeps my glasses updated. I am very satisfied with the results and care I have received.I have been a patient of Dr. Ghannam for a number of years. He has a good understanding of my visual needs and is reassuring about what might be coming as I age. Melissa gave a very good preparatory examination and wrapup. The receptionist was very patient with me as I was having difficulty finding my insurance cards. I highly recommend this practice and look forward to being served by them for many more years.

Staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating. However, I has to wait 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment to see someone.

I attempted to wear contacts with a different doctor and despite several attempts to get the prescription where I could see clearly, I was told maybe contacts just werent for me. I was so discouraged and gave up.Years later, desperate to be re-evaluated I went to see Dr. Ghannam and explained how frustrated I was about past failed attempts. I felt heard, understood, and he spent all the time needed to do a thorough exam to figure out the magic combination that my eyes needed for contacts and progressive lens glasses. I left his office wearing contacts and an order for progressives, I was thrilled.Since then, he has successfully adjusted my prescription twice over the years, and both times I have come away thankful for how carefully he listens, and answers as many questions and concerns that I have. I appreciate the level of patience, concern and non-rushed appointment time that Dr Ghannam provides every time.Additionally, the technicians have always been very friendly and helpful. I have referred a couple of friends and family members to this practice.If I had just one small critique, it would be that the waiting area/lens shop is in need of a facelift, it doesnt match the high level professional care that this practice provides. Definitely the classic case of not to judge a book by its cover. A great practice!

Its small , smells , and its moldly . They over book and when you get your glasses back theyre never right ! Three times in row . Last time I took them back I never heard from them. Every time you take them back they sent them back to their lab and recharge your insurance company . I couldnt read or see distance with them . Every time I was taking my glasses back so , was someone else !!
