I am so thankful for Dr. Burris and her staff! They all work together so well and get things done. It is such a good feeling to have people who truly care about your health. Dr. Burris is very thorough and makes sure all things are covered. She does not wait for things to become a problem. This practice is world class!

I cant say enough good things about Bridget Burris DDS. The staff is welcoming, accommodating, friendly, and sets the standard for professionalism. I have always struggled mightily with restorative dental treatment as a result of a severe gag reflex, but with the IV sedation offered by Bridget Burris DDS I have been able to have years worth of treatment completed in just a couple of visits. Their patience and understanding makes me feel as though Im treated as a person first and foremost and not just a patient file. I believe they should be the metric against which all other standards of dental care should be measured.

I was a former patient of Bridget Burris and needed a crown installed in early 2018. They had given me options for what material, and I had requested a gold crown (the tooth in question was one of my back molars). I had said I wanted gold at least a couple times, during the consultation and even once more before they began the procedure; they seem like they understood, and I was more than willing to pay the extra amount for gold because I know that material holds a little longer than porcelain in regards to knowing it needs to be replaced sometime in the future.The procedure was longer than they had originally told me, and due to my teeth being highly sensitive, my stress was very high heading into the 2nd hour of the crown installation. I struggle with being a very shy and timid girl, and Im embarrassed to ever make a scene especially in front of strangers, so I always find myself complying even when I am uneasy. During the second dose of local anesthesia to numb the area, I experienced a severe bout of feeling lightheaded and a sudden anxiety attack to where I ended up shedding a few tears out of panic due to my severe fear towards needles. I was told by who I believe was Burris that I was too old to be crying at the dentist. Before they began drilling again, I asked politely If I could sit up for a couple minutes to calm myself down and if my mother could come sit on the bench by my feet instead in the waiting room because I explained I was concerned I was going to faint. There was then a comment made How old are you? 20 years old is a good age for you not to have mom always next to you. These rude comments made me feel absolutely terrible about myself, especially when you are in such a vulnerable state. I did not say anything for the rest of the procedure out of sheer embarrassment. I understand that everyone has bad days and sometimes patience its hard to find when you are wanting to finish within a certain timeframe, however I cant understand why Burris was so rude and felt that she had the power to talk down to a younger girl who was shy and less inclined to speak up. I have seen similar reviews made here about Burris being outwardly rude to patients that have either dental anxiety or appear more meek, so I now understand this is a pattern.By the end of the appointment, I was sat up and was given a mirror to see my new crown and was confused to see they had given me a porcelain crown. I said nothing. I was very anxious, and just wanted to leave as soon as I could, instead of asking why I had a porcelain crown instead of the gold I had originally asked for (and might have even paid for.. )The reason why I am writing a review years later is because I moved to Albuquerque and going to another dentist I am very happy with. I have been asked a numerous amount of times by both dentist and hygienist who in the world installed my crown. After a recent consultation, I need to replace this crown after only 3 short years due to odd fit, the pain it gives me possibly due to the placement, and the excess amount of cement/glue that is still surrounding around the edges that are now affecting the teeth in-between the crown.I could have saved myself so much money and emotional grief by going to a dentist who was not only personable towards their patients, but also better equipped to install a crown correctly the first time so I didnt have to replace it so soon afterwards.

Yesterday I had done what I thought would be a serious tooth extraction. It was professionally done. The team : Bridget Burris, DDS, Tonia, Extraction Specialist and an Intern made the procedure stress and pain free. From start to finish the TOTAL staff was a rare combination of respectful professional experts. Very uplifting.

DONT COME HERE!! They only want your money! We had an accident out of town and my wife chipped her front tooth. Luckily, it happened the evening before we were heading back to Cruces. So, we opted to wait so we could AVOID out of network charges. Made an appointment with our regular dentist asap. Unfortunately, that was cancelled due to a Covid 19 case. So, we ended up at this office. They office lady(I chose not to name her) took my wifes info and insurance. Now, what SHOULD have happened, was letting my wife know that they we unfortunately not in network. No such conversation was had. My wife paid a small fee and went on back for the exam for her chipped tooth. Which turned into a cleaning and xrays while she waited. Which my wife allowed since at our regular dentist is standard and no fees occur for us out of pocket. Everything was fine until we got to the exam. After telling my wife she had several cavities that needed filling(she didnt), a new custom mouth guard, some of her bottom teeth filed to keep them from growing into her top teeth PLUS the fixing of the chipped tooth, my poor wife(who is NOT a beaver and needed none of this things except the chip fixed) came home in tears with a crazy ridiculous bill. Insurance didnt seem to be paying for much according to the estimate we received so I called our regular dentist and gave them the codes from the estimate and asked what they charge for those things. It was HALF THE COST!!!! and that was BEFORE insurance!!! I couldnt believe it! I told my wife no worries, we got an emergency appointment at Desert Peaks. They actually saw her on the lunch hour and at no charge because they had cancelled the first appointment which led to this experience. Not the point though. We got a bill from Dr. Burris office for around $60. When I called to question it. The lady(who was the same one who checked my wife in) told me insurance didnt pay as much as they thought and this was the balance. Now, IF she had told us from the beginning they were out of network(which she didnt) now, would have been a great time to say, remember I told you we werent in network and you might be charged extra? But No! Why? Because she never said that to begin with! And she knew it! I dont know if they get charged for failing to tell a customer they dont take an insurance or what, but she didnt. Even if she told 50 people that same day they were out of network, she didnt tell us. I have already established the reason we waited was to be in network in the first place! I spoke to her manager. She was very nice. The first time. She said she would need to speak with the doctor and get back to me. She did. But with a different attitude and told me the lady in the front office remembered my wife and most certainly did tell her from the beginning they would be out of network. Folks, let me tell you. This is BS! We were never told! We will NOT be paying it. They can send it to collections if they want to. $60 is a lot of money to our one income family. Honestly, the lady was probably just busy and overwhelmed and forgot. That simple. But, the way the manager made me feel. Like we were lying after we made sure to wait to be in network was unforgivable. I do not normally write reviews. Especially negative ones. But, I felt that we were wronged. That this office cares more about making sure they get money than stopping to think about the families they serve. Which, by the way, are the reason they have jobs. This was wrong and a simple apology and a write off for them would have gone a long way with me. But after reading some other reviews, it seems we arent the only family that felt only money mattered. Go somewhere else. They over charge and apparently are never wrong.

I decided to go into Mexico for my dental work. It was a well-established practice that had been in business for years, passed down from father to son. I felt comfortable. They did extractions, root canals, crowns, implants and bridges. I saved a bundle of money!! 💰😀Well, about ten years later it was obvious that much of the work was done poorly. And, the implant/bridges were completely wrong. 😕Having made a mistake the first time, I did extensive research to find the best dentist in New Mexico. Although I live a couple hundred miles away, I chose Doctor Burris.Doctor Burris is an Angel. The entire staff is completely in step - compassionate, and absolutely professional. They also have the best training and technology.It is my privilege & honor to recommend Dr. Burris & her team to you. 👍PS: Her office is the cleanest building I have ever seen.

After a bad dental experience more than 20 years ago I have never been back to a dentist. Recently several months of Unexplained swollen lymph nodes neurological pain led me to assess my teeth as a possible source. Dr. Burris was both extremely thorough and thoughtful, helping to lay out a plan to get my teeth and my health back on track. Everyone on her team also exhibits this same level of expertise, professionalism, and kindness. I ask a lot of questions and they were all answered thoroughly. I am a engineer/ manager at my work and I can see that this office is a true team of professionals with a culture of excellence. Very impressed

My first dental appointment with Dr. Burris and Renee was exceptional. Everything was explained as the check-up progressed...in past experiences I always had to ask. Everyone in the office is pleasant and professional. My second visit was another great experience! I like the physical space as well...nice decor, privacy in the treatment rooms and views to nature! When you need to go to the dentist...this is the PERFECT place!

I have gone to this office for years, taking my 3 sons also. Dr. Burris is the best and Ive been seen by Dr. Wallis also now. He is wonderful. They are like a big happy family there and I always enjoy the rabbits and turtles!! Yep, you look out on a lovely small courtyard filled with interesting sculptures and the fun critters! Love this place and the folks who work there. They are friendly and so understanding.

This dentist is in the business of milk every patient for everything they can. They kept calling and messaging me telling me I need to come in for my appointment, it was time for my check-up, come in now. They failed to tell me that if I came in during Covid, they would charge me a covid cleaning fee. First of all, you are a dentists office, you should ALWAYS be doing covid quality measures in cleaning. Thats disgusting to think you were not. Second, they non-stop called and emailed that I needed to come in, yet they forget to tell me there is a cleaning surcharge? They have done the little, forgot to tell me charges before, but this was so blatant, it couldnt be someone forgot to tell me. Dont go here - there work is the same as everyone else, but she is a money mill more than a dentist.

I love Dr Burris and her staff. They are all so friendly and personable. They are knowledgeable in all procedures and are pretty hi-tech in the equipment used during a procedure where they make getting dental work seem like a breeze with no discomfort and little pain. I tried another dentist in between visits to Dr. Burris because I thought Dr. Burris charged a bit more than other dentists......but, believe me, shes worth every penny and more!! I will never again go see another dentist.

My son is 2 years old, I took him in to look into him possibly having a tongue tie. They staff was wonderful! They were patient with my son who is super sensitive with his mouth. I was impressed and thankful for our they treated us.

Looking back, I have nightmares about going here as a child. My dad would always get mad they would provide services without asking him and complain and make them take it off the bill.Then one visit they were adamant I needed multiple teeth drilled (granted I never had a cavity in my life) and did so when not needed causing permanent damage. Cant prove it, but in hindsight Im pretty sure it was malicious.Some people shouldnt have patients. I wouldnt take my son there today if I still lived in Las Cruces.

Outstanding experience with beautiful results--had major dental problems from 60+ years of minimal dental care mostly from my fear of going to the dentist regularly. Dr. Burris and all of her staff were very friendly, professional and the entire process from the laser surgery for my diseased gums and tooth extraction was just as they advertise--incredibly pain-free! I drove two hours to this dentist because I have dental anxiety and they offer nitrious oxide. The front desk staff is wonderful. The hygienist was kind and attentive. The office is very nice. But when Dr. Burros walked in for the consultation she started off by saying, Patients with dental anxiety are no fun. I felt humiliated and I wish I had walked out right then. All through the consultation she was adversarial, rude, and kept shaming me because of the decay I had on my teeth. I finally couldnt stand it anymore and stood up for myself. Instead of apologizing she said she expected her patients to take better care of their teeth. I was trying to take care of my teeth--thats why I was there! I pushed back because I needed to be treated better if I was going to be her patient. She said she wouldnt take me as a patient and left. This is after Id spent almost $400 to get set up with her. Her assistant made excuses for her after she was gone and wanted to salvage things, but I could not stay there another moment. I am still shaking with tears as Im writing this. I dont understand all these good reviews. This is the worst experience Ive ever had with a dentist in my life. She was cruel to me, and no one deserves to be treated that way. I still dont understand why she acted like this to me when she obviously treats other patients fine. I have dental anxiety--thats why I went to you. If you didnt want me as a patient you should have just said it from the beginning instead of trying to hurt me so badly that I would leave. Your website says: “We understand that for some patients, dental treatments create anxiety. Shots and drills can create apprehension, and we are especially sensitive to these patients needs.” This is a lie. Dont encourage patients with dental anxiety to go to you when you have such a horrible attitude towards them. This is an honest review. If you lie about what happened in your reply, I will defend myself the same way I did in your office today.

Over the years Dr. Burris has done ten crowns for me at a cost of >$10K with insurance. The last time I went to see her, she said one of these needed to be replaced, but very oddly wouldn’t/couldn’t explain why. Neither would the hygienist. After consulting with two other dentists, the xrays showed a mouthful of very ill-fitting crowns with excessive cement used to secure them into place. The reason they will all need to be replaced, is that eventually the thick layer of cement erodes away and leaves the area around the crown open to decay... The x-rays showing a Dr Burris’s crown as compared to my new dentist’s replacement crown are strikingly different (i.e., a very thick band of cement as compared to a thin cement line and crown exactly fitting what is left of the original tooth). These crowns should have lasted longer than 10 years, but now all need to be replaced at great expense. Just FYI.

Everyone wants a competent dentist. Thats a given. Bridget Burris is the right one for me. You will be treated with respect and kindness and always with a caring , cheerful attitude. You will notice that from the moment you arrive. Perpetually cheerful Margie will greet you with a smile and get you started on the right foot. I needed a crown so Dawn guided me through the trip. She is highly trained as a Patient Treatment Specialist and is a master at the machines and computers that assist the professionals. Dawn is a GEM both able and supportive. Job well done! My crown looks great and I feel like a King. Thanks to all.

To date, I have had an evaluation, x-rays, consultations and cleaning. I will have more work done within this month. I have been quite satisfied with the staff; most of my visits have been with Susana, an extremely friendly, courteous and engaging young lady. Susana is very professional and takes measures to ensure her patient is comfortable and understands the work to be done. I also enjoy the fact that the office employs the latest technology with direct digital interface. I changed over from another clinic and decided to visit with Dr Burris. Although I was with another clinic, my change was purely to consider and visit another office and not due to any dissatisfaction with the previous clinic.

It stated with a broken tooth while we were visiting here.This time my wife and I drove back from Dallas, Texas for more dental work because this office did more for me than the 12 or so dentists I have seen in Dallas over the past 20 yearsClean and knowledgeable people to deal with. All questions answered.

Weve always been cared for so well and there have been times when they have gone above and beyond to ensure emergency issues were taken care of right away. Dr. Burris has been my dentist for almost 28 years. When I arrived in Las Cruces 28 years ago my crown broke while eating a piece of candy. I called all over and no one would take me in. When I called Dr. Burris, she took me in immediately. I have been with her ever since. I have never been disappointed with getting an appointment to fit my needs nor getting in ASAP for an emergency. Dr. Burris is not just one of the best in Las Cruces, she IS the best. Her staff is exceptional. Friendly, efficient, and very caring. Most people dont look forward to visiting their dentist but I do. Dr. Burris has the newest equipment available and her staff has been schooled on the use of it as well. This was my first dentist appointment in awhile. Moving from my home in Southern California a couple years ago, I never established routine care here in Las Cruces. I finally had enough and a little scare to push me to making an appointment.Going in I thought it would be like all my previous visits. Idle chitchat about life and the normal advice about oral hygiene. First off, the front office staff was friendly and open. Margie was very kind, helpful, and patient. Even on checkout with the payment. Couldnt ask for a better service and smile!I was escorted back and met my hygienist, Renee. This is where the care shined! She answered all my questions with great knowledge and directed me towards scientific studies if I wanted to learn more. She presented a calm and expert demeanor, making sure I knew the things I needed to know for the best of my health. Left her care feeling much better!Dr. Burris herself was very honest with me and was genuinely interested in my health. I appreciated the frankness. Sometimes you just need to hear the truth outright!Thank you Dr. Burris, Renee, Margie and anyone else I may have forgotten! It was a pleasant experience! We will see each other soon!

Having spent thousands of hours in dentist chairs, I am impressed by the organization of Dr. Burris office, the competence and caring of the personnel who have worked on my teeth, including the hygienist, both CEREC technicians, Dr. Burris herself, and the friendliness of everyone associated with this dental office. Then there is the technology which she employs. This office is so high tech, from using text messages as reminders, to the CAD and CEREC computers, immediate X Ray results, and all of the most current technology available.I am very pleased with my treatment!

The staff, was aware I had to be done, by a certain time to get to work on time. I didnt feel I was rushed or my care compromised. I felt everyone worked well together and all my questions were answered right down to the end Dr Burris was close by to help as I was heading out the door.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Burris for years and have always appreciated her practice because: they listen to you and take your concerns seriously; they have various options for payment that soften the blow of paying for dental care; her equipment always seems to be state-of-the-art; she cares about aesthetics (there is a garden outside her window where one can watch tortoises, bunnies, and plant life and smile over the sculpture; inside there are mobiles that help to make her office a pleasant place to be); and last, I know that Dr. Burris participates in dental-care clinics in third-world countries where people dont have the advantages that many Americans enjoy. Im glad we found her.

I moved to Las Cruces from the NYC area five years ago. Dental care there was good. Dental care from Dr. Burris is great! Not only does Dr. Burris personally remain on top of issues and practices to provide high level dental care, she invests to keep her staff current as well; professionalism prevails in her office. Dr. Burris also incorporates current dental technology for patient treatment. For example, I have many crowns, and unlike pre-Dr. Burris experiences that required weeks of commitment: preparation, temporary and finally a permanent crowns, then bite adjustments, Dr. Burris has the technology and skill to complete the entire process -- no adjustments needed -- in a single sitting. Since I was incompatible with the CPAP machines, the sleep doctor sent me to DR. Burris and Dr. Wallis. Dr. Wallis made me a mouth piece and Voila! No more sleep apnea! No more waking up gasping for air! No more claustrophobic nightmares! It was quick. It was easy! It was painless!The CPAP machines were damaging my vocal chords. Thank you so much!! I can sing again! Very professional. Very gentle. Very intelligent. Very caring. I highly recommend their services!
