Best decision I could have ever made! My case was SETTLED at the courthouse. I got a fair amount of time to move, and paid which will help in finding an new place. No record or marks on my rental record. If you need help with a bad landlord situation this is definitely the place to go.

Dont call them when sick, they will hang up on you if you arent loud enough for them. How disrespectful and wrong way to run a firm. What if a older person has a hearing problem or death person. Good job!

Basta is wonderful, didn’t even know of there services or location as I was referred and I don’t regret it one bit. The process at first felt a little intimidating but they alway made me feel so welcomed and Kent was ALWAYS beyond helpful! All staff here has been great to me and I’m thankful they were able to help me out with my situation...thanks Basta you guys were all great to me!!

They are representing an occupant who has physical attacked the general manager. They are a non-profit organization and the public cannot see the IRS FORM 900 and audited financial statements for transparency. I wrote and called requesting information and they rudely hung up the phone. My family and I are in fear for our lives, as we are residing in one of the units. The court granted restraining order and yet they are encouraging squatting.I DONT KNOW WHO IS FUNDING THIS NON_PROFIT ORGANIZATION SUPPORTING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY!!!

They made the landlords settle and hive us our security deposit back. There were some discrepancies in the lease and the so called log of receipts they had. We won and there is no eviction on our record!

I won my case which i pretty much knew the outcome. I was awarded money not as much as i wanted but i won! Basta fought for me. Help me present all my evidence to court gave me more time and made the lanlord and her attorney sweat bullets. Agressive practice highly recommend. I even told my momma.

It really infuriates me seeing these people trying to help low income families they promise their clients a big settlement and at the end the money they win is paid out to BASTA leaving the clients with nothing to fall back into. Please do not be fooled by these people and read every single document youre signing. I really wonder where all that money is going to if theyre office looks like crap. Stay away!!!

Im currently fighting an eviction and praying that everything falls into place . Its been a very hard journey for my children and I , but have alot of faith in our lord Jesus christ that this will soon be over and will be in a bigger and nicer home ... Basta so far has relieved me from alil bit of stress , but still waiting 🙏

My attorney was awesome. Irving did a great job. The case was settled and even got some of my money back. I would give them 5 stars but the lady at the Lancaster office has an attitude everytime i go there. Shes extremely rude to customers. They need to fire her and hire someone with customer service skills. Many of the clients are under enough stress she doesnt have to make it worst. Ill refer folks to basta but not to the Lancaster office.

I went to Basta after being referred by a friend that they gave her time and money to relocate, without ever paying any back rent owed. For me, they were very helpful, explained there services and fees. I was not employed at the time I went them and they allowed me to make payments. 500 dollars is small price to pay peace of mind. My case went to court , they showed up each time, The case was resolved, I paid no back rent to my landlord and was given 2 months before I had to move. I did not take advantage of the relocation funds because i was just thankful to have this situation resolved. I am pleased with the service I got and found them to be very helpful.

I went to the Lancaster office for help. The office manager- Gloria is truly awful. The office does not look like an attorneys office. I should have just kept driving when I saw it is next door to a Wienerschnitzel where 3 men were hanging out drinking out of a paper bag before 10 a.m. After learning more about what they do I decided this place is just unethical and not really interested in doing what is right. I didnt use them.

Basta has a horrible staff, I went to the Lancaster ca. location and the manager has a bad attitude, she doesnt help, she doesnt listen and gets mad when I tried to talk and keeps repeating herself, she only cared about what she had to say and didnt even acknowledge my question, I didnt feel comfortable with hiring them to represent me when there not on my side to fight for my rights.

Excellent service was provided. I would recommend anyone and everyone who needed help to Basta. Personally I didnt care for Glorias attitude one minute shes fine the next shes not but other than that everything else was very promising Irving was my attorney and was absolutely amazing and Very professional in and outside of court. He explained everything to the T on what was happening with the case and would call to keep me updated. Was shooting for $2,500 back, no evictions and nothing on my credit, and to buy a Lil time. Well he got me $3,000 back, no eviction, nothing on my credit and a Lil more time. I was beyond pleased with Basta. Thank you Irving! And thank you Basta!

All the women here are just so beyond rude...Dominik thinks she is better than anyone and she is so above everything...Magda is the worst of all, she thinks she owns the place and she thinks BASTA its her own home and she can kick clients out like they are trespassing her home? Excuse me Magda? Watch your mouth is my advise to you ....and to the other tall white woman who looks like she can take you down in a split second, well, she probably can, so dont mess with her, she threatened me pretty badly and I feared for my bones so...yeah...obviously, this place is CRAP and dangerous too. If you want to be mistreated and threatened its the place for you....If you dont enjoy being threatened then join me in my mission to have them shut down permanently.

Big disappointment. They dont want to hear your story. And they side with your landlord. They dont seem eager to help your scary situation. They look at you like a moron. Even when the landlord is wrong for his actions they make you feel like your in the wrong. That lady needs to quit. She will ruin that business. Its sad. Were going thru alot. We come for help. And then looked at like crazy people... not even seeming to care about the awful situation. One man approached us. Seemed very promising. Very willing to help us. He walked in 20 mins after we were talkingbyo lady and said nothing. Lady wanted 500 or no help. But he said at court house bring what $ you can and we will get you on payment plan. So i see how that works. If they want your case they will get you on a payment and when they dont want to say they dont want to work with us they demand the full amount thought this place was a low income lawyer resource. Fighting for tenants rights. Lady would have been better as a online operator. Smh. Its sad. Hope that guy will turn around and help us. We dont know what to do. Reason we go to them for help.

So sorry for the late review here BASTA,THANK YOU so muchfor helping me, the way you were both on top of representing me in court and so professional with the judge, you were calm but firm, you bought me a few months in my place where I always paid my rent on time but now was faced with an eviction due to Sunset Ridge Apts saying by California state law we do not need to give you a reason that you have to leave WHAT?Long story short the eviction came off with no money owed.Worth the money if your facing an eviction!!!

This place is a joke. They’re legal extortionists representing squatters and slum tenants of all sorts. Disgusting!

If you need an attorney for landlord issues, and dont use BASTA, THEN you are wasting your time. BASTA helped me TWICE and I didnt lose both times due to them. I DEFINATELY would have lost if I tried to fight on my own. They have the expertise and track record to prove it. Me and my kids would be homeless if it wasnt for them. I am NOT getting paid to say this...I EXPERIENCED IT. A review is the LEAST I can do to repay the hours they had to spend on my second case. THANK GOD FOR BASTA!
