Nice space multiple rooms for hosting separate events... Bar food music... Worth a decent visit

Isnt what it should be. Its a Veterans Post, not a pool hall. Property has a new landlord.

The banquet hall where I attended a wedding was gorgeously displayed for the guests that there.

Nice place to enjoy yourself clean and nice service food is good also.

Great spot no dumb stuff no fights definitely come back

This AMVETS Post 19 has embraced the motorcycle club scene in its area. They have hosted many events there and the facility has large open parking, has always been clean and has had friendly staff available.They have a good thing going and have every right to be proud of their facility.

Nice venue for an outdoor event/function. Clean with great kitchen facilities and a lot of space.

The only thing about this place they did not help my dad who is a veteran with simple stuff the Riverside did more for him then the amvets did but he is a life member there ( amvets ) other then that its a cool place to go and party

This location was an excellent place for out first youth Banquet on 12/10/17. The place is a blank canvas where you can decorate your hearts desire. The service is on point. On that Sunday morning Bob the manager was there to help us with anything we needed. Then when it was time for the food Andrea and Tara bent over backwards to help in any way. I was so impressed, so happy , and felt so blessed. The food was excellent!!! I only wish I knew about this place sooner because I would have had an excellent economical wedding with great food at a great price. Please if you are getting married and have help to decorate use AMVETS because you will not regret it.

Went to see Screeming Daisys, very crowded. They did 2 50/50 raffles and both people donated it back to the veterans. Amazing!

They have the best parties and are such a great cause. Please remember to support our veterans especially the Vietnam vets they had a rough time coming home and deserve some recognition. Thank You for your service!

I had my 50th birthday party here and I had a AWESOME time.

I was in a wedding party that held the reception at AMVETS Post 19. We were given permission by the head of banquets to set up on Friday evening. We arrived to a mess. The floors were filthy and sticky, obviously not washed, and there were supplies left scattered around from a previous function. We made do and cleaned up what we could. The facility could have been beautiful had it been clean. The next day became even more complicated when the bride received an early morning phone call from a head employee. They were yelling about us setting up on Friday night, not something a bride should need to deal with on her wedding day. Their lack of communication among managers was evident. After all the time we had put into setting up the night before they took things we were using because they wanted them for a different event upstairs. Upon arriving after the wedding everyone had to park behind the building and enter through a back entrance because obviously they needed the parking by the reception area for another event upstairs. The problems continued as they tried to remove chairs that were needed. The bartender had no idea what alcohol people could purchase and what the bride and groom were paying for and at times he refused to serve the alcohol bought by the bride and groom to their guests. We were told that only the bartender could serve alcohol but when it was time for the toast we were told to serve it ourselves. There were bouncers at the doors. I guess to make sure we didnt bring anything in from the outside but they made the guests feel very uncomfortable. All in all it was a terrible experience and nothing a bride and groom should need to deal with on their special day.

Nice place to hang out... Horrible place to work. I wouldnt send my worst enemy to work there. This place is definitely under construction morally, professionally, etc

When I first saw this venue I loved it. The lovely person showing it to me was kind and helpful. She went over all the rules and regulations and we signed a contract. A few months before the wedding I realized I needed to decorate the day before the wedding, I called and asked if it was possible. I was granted permission. When we came in to decorate we went to the upstairs bar to ask them to open it. The kind gentleman that was there took us down and opened the doors and we proceeded to decorate. The next morning at 7:30am I get awoken by a very rude phone call from the commander telling us who let us in, that we werent allowed in. He wanted me to give him the name of the person so he could fire the person. I told him that I could not recall what the person looked like. But he went on ranting and raving about a bingo machine and that he had given strick orders not to let us come in.Then when we arrived at the reception I realized they were making my guests park on a side lot when it was muddy and raining. He had another activity upstairs and wanted to save those spaces for their activity.Then to top it off the groom had ordered beer and 4 types of wine for the guests. But the bartender was not told and kept on charging my guests for wine I had ordered. So my now husband spent over $300.00 in wine that was not served. Every time I went up to the bar and tried to order the wines that I had prepaid he would say that he didnt have that and I would have to order from the cash bar. I would say no I paid for it then he would go to the back and come back with a bottle saying he didnt know. By the end of the night my reception goers had had to pay for drinks because the bartender did not know what he was doing. Never again would we do business with that place.

Once you walk in this place is nice! Plenty of space and very affordable.

As a member, its a great place to relax after work, or to dance on the weekends.

It has plenty of employees willing to help you and clothing for cheap

I was able to enjoy time with my granddaughter doing karaoke. They need to start it earlier for more family time!

Ok...so now I am second guessing this facility for a very important Hempfield class reunion next year?? (50th) Some bad reviews recently. So is this the right venue or not? Going to meet Trish today to see it and discuss...guess Ill see how my gut reaction is.........Social media is usually a good place for inputs

Great place to host your event. Don’t believe the 1 star review hype, they’re from people who want everything for nothing, quick to blame everone for their own issues and don’t understand the Pa liquor license laws / requirements to serve alcohol.The paking lot is spacious and more than enough room to park.Management is onnsite to assist with questions or issues and many people in the club are veterans, spouses or family that volunteer their time to help out.

Go there often as my family is full of veterans. Yummy food and cheap drinks!
