I would rate the campus office as the most poorly run doctors office I have been to in years. I arrived at my 1:30 check in time and after signing in I waited. I know doctors are busy. I know the encounter cases that take more time than expected but I hoped, since my appoint was just after lunch, there wouldn’t be a back log. After about 45 minutes I noticed a nurse came out and called a patient who had apparently walked out. I inquired if there was an abnormal wait and was assured I would be seen soon. During this time I saw multiple patients who came in after me get called back. After another 45 minutes another patient went up to the desk to complain and reschedule. Then, it was my turn. I asked why they hadn’t said there was such a long wait. They told me they didn’t know, they don’t communicate with the doctors. So, I asked if the nurses calling back patients could see the patient was scheduled an hour and a half ago. They looked at me as if I were dumb and said there were only two providers in that day. So I asked how come multiple patients who arrived after me got called back before me. They offered to reschedule. No apology,. Nothing.. As they simply spouted another date I turned, shook my head and left. Doctors are highly skilled professionals who do a great service. But, my life and time is important to me too. This office didn’t care one bit. They had to know there was such a long wait. Giving me the courtesy of telling me I could wait or reschedule values mine. By rescheduling it also lightens the doctors load. These dimwits have yet to figure that out

I’m so thankful for Keystone Urology. For the first time in my life, I had some significant medical procedures that needed to be done. If I’m honest, I was afraid and skeptical if the medical staff would effectively care. Having my first surgery, Dr. Hockenberry made me feel comfortable. Everyone at Keystone did a great job of making me feel comfortable and getting me through my procedure. The doctors were amazing and knowledgeable and everyone else at the office was great. I’m now recovered and am thankful for all of the work they’ve done.

Keystone Urology has some of the nicest receptionists I have interacted with. They are friendly, courteous, patient and helpful. Even the folks that scheduled my appointments were great. Very expedient. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr Miller and after further tests & a complete explanation as what needed to be done, referred me to Dr Svetic ensuring a less complicated outcome addressing my issue. Dr Svetic was thorough explaining and showed me on the computer what he was going to do and how he was going to do everything. At the time of my procedure I was nervous however comfortable knowing I had a very experienced specialist working to get me healthy. I highly recommend Keystone Urology for their expertise!

For the past 3 years Ive been a patient at Keystone Urology Specialists in Lancaster. Whether its an appointment at the doctors office or in the Surgery Center, Dr. Miller and his staff are exceptional!From check-in to the exam/procedure and discharge, each caring individual is professional, has my best interests at heart and assists me in meeting my medical goals. All of mine have been great experiences and were definitely worth the 25 minute commute from out of town.

From check in to checkout this office is both professional and courteous. Dr. Lessans is the best. He is young, professional and keeps what can be a stressful appointment light. When checking out, Ann is most courteous in completing appointments and providing visit summaries.

I had an issue for which I had to go to urgent care. They sent me to Keystone for continuing care. I called and got an appointment in less than 2 days. The office is spacious and comfortable - easy to find. The staff is professional and friendly. The wait was minimal every time I go. I am incredibly appreciative of the patient care I received with Dr. Mark Hockenberry with Keystone Urology. I had a very elevated PSA level which in reading multiple medical sites caused me concern for prostrate cancer. Dr. Hockenberry during initial consult was friendly, thorough and professional with listening to me as well as assessing my health. Dr. Hockenberry put me at immediate ease and we followed a thorough plan toward determining my diagnosis (benign prostatic hyperplasia) completely with a biopsy and starting immediate treatment which has immediately improved my quality of life. I cannot say enough positive things about Keystone Urology. Dr. Hockenberry went out of his way to be kind & supportive and carefully explain things to our 27 year old special-needs son. Christian in ultrasound was amazing and we cannot thank him enough for his patience and good humor while we worked out how to do this test when someone is in a wheelchair. The office was accessible and staff were efficient and helpful. It was a challenging time for my son since he was in significant pain, but everyone at Keystone went above and beyond to assist my son. Wish all medical doctors, techs and staff could be as professional and helpful and find ways to think out of the box for solutions that help their patients.

They have the most caring staff. They make you feel very at ease when working with you. The nurses and office staff are the best. They treat you with dignity under the most difficult situations. I just had prostate surgery and my doctor, Dr. Lessans has been nothing but the best. I would recommend them to any body that has the need. You will get the best treatment there is to get.

THEY REFUSED TO HONOR MY APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY SAID I HAD TO PAY. I TRIED TO TELL THE NEW PEOPLE I NEVER PAID A COPAY BECAUSE I HAD SECONDARY INSURANCE BUT THEY REFUSED TO LET ME SEE MY DOCTOR. I WALKED OUT INTO THE HALL AND CALLED BILLING AND THEY SAID I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE I HAD SECONDARY, HAD NEVER PAID, BECAUSE I HAD SECONDARY, AND, THEY APOLOGIZED FOR THE FRONT OFFICE STAFF. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE. EVER. THAT MAKES ME SAD AND MAD BECAUSE I LIKED MY DOCTOR. OTHER OFFICES ALSO TRY TO DO THIS.

Dr. Hockenberry and Amanda were both fantastic! They made me feel comfortable and eased me into the procedure. It was a simple and painless vasectomy and I would highly recommend this office!!

I recently moved from Littleton, Colorado to Marietta, Pa. I had an appointment with Dr. Lessons. The staff was very kind and friendly and Dr. Lessons took time to listen to my history of problems and is treating me at this time . I highly recommend Dr. Lessons and this practice being new to the area after 30 years in Colorado with my same doctors. They made me feel so comfortable and I thank them for that.

He answers all our questions or else researches if we ask too many ;) Dr S is transparent in giving us information, does not rush us but makes sure we are satisfied with information & answers to our questions. We truly trust his expertise! I am writing on behalf of the care given to my father. I have had to contact the office a few times and they were always kind, professional and responsible. The doctor called me back promptly to discuss my fathers situation, and he was very nice to speak to. I was at the office once when my father was getting a treatment and the office is a wonderful place to be for a few hours and the nurse I spoke to was incredibly kind and compassionate.

I just completed Cryoabalation of my prostate cancer with Dr. Sieber. Dr. helped me in deciding what choice of procedure I should make. He is a good listener, answered all my question, and has great teaching skills. I know, taught Community College for 31 years. The patient portal is tops; easy to use; all your test results etc. are there. More important if you place a Q, you have an answer within a day. The checkin and checkout people are great. My PA and nurse today made me feel relaxed and safe.

Front desk staff, nurses and Doctor were all very friendly. The appointment was for my 6yr old son and he felt very comfortable the whole time we were there.

I have called numerous times to schedule. The receptionist that answers the phone is so rude. When i talked to her, she obviously had me on speaker, and was the rudest person i have ever spoken to. I dont know how the doctors are bc never got past the ignorant receptionist.

Over the years I have had four episodes of kidney stones. I have lived in a variety of places and as a result I have been treated by a variety of Urologists. I have never before received care that matched that of Keystone Urology and Dr. Hockenberry. His knowledge and caring bedside manner are superlative. In addition, appointments are on-time and the entire staff is friendly and caring. I hope to never have kidney stones again but if I do, I know I will be in good hands when I go back to Keystone Urology. Finally, I was slightly concerned to learn that my procedure would take place at the Ephrata Hospital rather than Lancaster General. After receiving wonderful care at Ephrata I will request to go back there in the future.

A serious problem was thoroughly explained and time was taken to explain all options by a thoughtful, very approachable professional.All appointments, referrals and insurance issues were completely and competently handled by a courteous, friendly and helpful staff.

Keystone Urology (search Lancaster Urology to find their other reviews since the changed their name) was terrible to deal with. It took multiple phone calls over a week to get a call back to schedule a procedure. Then they required you to make payment in full to cover the insurance deductible before they would schedule. Two weeks after the procedure I get a bill from them for the cost of the deductible. When I call them to tell them I’ve already paid and provide them with the receipt, they claim they have no record of my payment. Even with the receipt and bank statement they claim they don’t have any record of me paying them over $600.

I was totally raked over the coals by this place. My surgery was royally messed up.AND I am expected to pay out all monies!!!.Even though they got almost 90%, they stillare sending out bills. I am scarred for life.This place is what is wrong with our healthcare system. Not willing to bend at all,even though they made the mistake.

Taking my elderly uncle to an appt with Dr. Jarwenko, we arrived early and were able to ask the office staff questions and get information to digest even before we saw the doctor. Kim at the front desk was proficent with info prior and scheduling following the appt--she was able to find us the very earliest date for the procedure needed. The RN Verna took care of us with confidence and compassion. And Brandy the medical assistant rounds out their team. We were so impressed, relieved, and grateful for Dr. Js expert help and the assistance of his whole staff. I highly recommend Dr. Jarwenko and his team at Keystone Urology Specialists. (Were from Lancaster and have been to his Lancaster office several times - but there was faster availability for an appt in Lebanon. We really appreciate both offices!)
