Nothing ever but amazing experiences. So understanding about everything and we never feel like we are an inconvenience. So glad a friend recommended them! Dr. Cotter is so caring and genuinely concerned that you are ok. Love the staff!

I have been coming to this family practice since I was a child. I’ve received great care up until they merged with UMPC pinnacle health. They have a partnership with Quest diagnostics, so unless you have really good insurance, expect to pay a bill for any lab testing including mandatory drug testing for prescribed medications. The ladies at the front desk are wonderful specifically Donna and Michelle.

I just left the office and I had to stop and write a review.Im brand new to the area and they fit me in almost immediately. The entire staff was very friendly!! Even people that I just walked passed greeted me with a friendly smile and a hello.Dr Sallavanti took his time to go over everything in my chart, my concerns, and he went above and beyond! I didnt feel rushed and I didnt feel as though I was bothering him with my questions.I am sad that I almost overlooked this place because of reviews! Please look no further!! This office is wonderful!

I have been a patient with Sallavanti and Cotter since 1997. I have had great service from both doctors. For the last few years I have been seen by Dr. Karen Miller. She is awesome. This practice always gives extraordinary service. The entire staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would recommend anyone to them.

I have been a patient for 15 years, I have always found both the staff and physicians to be extremely helpful, especially if I ever have a need. In fact Dr. Cotter was willing to come into the office (unscheduled) on a Saturday to prescribe medication to an overseas trip. Very satisfied.

I see Karen Miller at this office and she is the sweetest and nicest doctor I have ever had. She legitimately and genuinely cares for me as a person and not just as a patient. She even asks my mother about me when my mom sees her for appointments and visa versa. I absolutely love seeing her.

I currently see Dr Miller and she is amazing, however I used to see Dr Cotter whom I do not recommend. He told me over the phone that the side affects of a new medication were just in my head, even though Dr. Miller had warned me about certain side affects. It was a dangerous pattern with him and I felt way too uncomfortable to be seen by him anymore. Dr. Miller is not that way, I highly recommend her, and thats why I gave 5 stars!

Sallavanti, Cotter and their Nurse Practitioners, Sharon and Karen are awesome! You will not get better care nor treated better. They are always there for you. You cannot go wrong with them taking care of you.I give these 4 5 STARS.Since acquisition by Lancaster General, administratively the office is not as efficient so giving 4 stars for the whole experience.Great doctors, Great Nurses.

I have been going to Dr Sallavanti for years. My Grandfather went for decades before he passed away. My Uncle goes, my aunt goes, my grandmother goes. My wife goes. My whole family goes here. Theyre patient and thorough. They usually get you in same day. They take as much or as little time as you need them to. Give them a try

I really like Dr. Cotter as my PCP. He answers all my questions and explains alternative options. However, getting an appointment with his is difficult. Staff on the phone are rude and seem to be unable to determine his schedule. I had to call in 3 times because they kept giving me different availability times.

Let me start off by saying no one is perfect. Any Dr.s office you go to, there will be snafus. That said, after 17 years, I will not go anywhere else. When I make an appointment, I take whoever is available. Both Dr. Sallivanti and Dr. Cotter are equally effective. They take their time explaining in laymans terms what the issues are and devise a treatment plan accordingly. Staff is also pleasant and helpful. 5 stars snafus and all.

Dr Sallavanti is a great doctor. Twice hes found serious medical issues that specialists either ignored or overlooked. Most of my family goes here also. They only do same day appointments now, which is genius. If you are sick you shouldnt have to wait 2-3 days for an appt.

I would Give Negative stars if it was an option. I have been a patient since was a young kid 30 years ago. Unfortunately ever since UPMC has taken over this office it has gone down hill. all the doctors Double and triple booked. out and out told me we dot have time to address your concerns as we are to busy I was there for a routine physical and got charged as a sick visit because i asked a question about my blood pressure! Money Hungry office who out and out lies about stuff to reap from insurance!!

Been a patient for 12 years or so and since becoming corporate service has significantly declined. Waited 1-1/2 hours for a basic med check appointment during my last appointment. Recently reported a very sensitive matter and was basically told that I was a liar by one of the nurses. Complained to the office manager only to get the runaround and empty apologies. Its safe to say that I am now looking for a new doctor.

My husband, Jason Luciano, went for an annual physical and before even speaking with him, Dr Cotter coded the pre exam blood work as General Illness rather than Preventive which it should have been. This meant we had out of pocket co pays for both the blood work and the office visit instead of Affordable Care Act covered exam. When i called to question this Nurse Meck said she agreed the visit was mis coded and then wrote my insurance company and lied saying my husband got this long educational visit on Diabetes which he was diagnosed with after blood work came back. My husband spent 15 minutes with Dr Cotter and was given a script and told to come back in 3 months for follow up. For this our insurance was billed $380, way over the usual amount of an annual exam and we were charged a co pay.Any education my husband got on diabetes including a glucometer to test his blood which Dr Cotter said was no big deal but the script instructions said was needed, came from me spending hours on line researching.Jason paid for his glucometer online and taught himself how to use it.Jason paid for books on Diabetic menus, the supplemental alternatives to Metformin which made him feel like a cancer patient. Dr Cotter told Jason that his practice does not believe in supplements!Jason went off the script after a month and turned to supplements; he has a new doctor now and I am happy to say his A1C is normal.Apparently to this practice, Annual Exams are only coded as Preventive if the patient passes with no flags on blood work and the Doctor only has to do the bare minimum of an exam. The second a concern comes up or something is mentioned by the patient they see dollar signs and nothing over 10 minutes is considered routine.Jason got no education for his Diabetes on December 18, from Dr Cotter but I got quite the education from dealing with him and his UPMC Pinnacle staff who care more about money than patients! The response to this original review is insulting. You billed my husband for an annual check up before even talking to him as General Illness when he specified ANNUAL CHECK UP when scheduling blood work and appointment. You over billed by $146 after his blood work showed high A1C which is why people have annual check ups in first place! We are not told that if one thing turns up wrong, we get charged extra. Anyway we no longer choose UPMC. We have a new doctor now and my husband is NOT diabetic by the way AND he has back issues which you never even thought to address. Guess no time or it would have been a $1500 bill!He is seeing a new family doctor and a chiropractor and feeling great!

I have been a patient here seeing BOTH Doctor Cotter, Sallavanti, and Karen for OVER 20 years until today. The office and staff has become increasingly unwilling to cooperate with me in regards to upkeeping my life saving medication.. It has taken up 2, 3 and 4 phone calls with the office staff requesting my doctor ordered prescription to be filled at a CVS on multiple occasions and now Im being told I have to come into the office to pick up the medication monthly even though I now live 3+ hours away and I was not notified of this policy change whatsoever. No doctors are in the office to speak to me and the office managers i spoke with are not able to comprehensively explain the policy change to me or have any kind of answer as to why I was not notified of this what so ever.So with 5 pills left, im being forced to drive 3 hours to pick up my life saving medication in the middle of my work week, forcing me to lose work days and there has been ZERO accountability being taken on their end.I am truly going to be suffering from the negligence of not notifying me of this new policy and this practice will need to seriously review their internal policies regarding notifying patients of their LIFE SAVING MEDICATION Refill requirements. As my primary care physician you have been put into control of a huge aspect of my life managing my daily prescriptions and I really feel as if I have been let down by the doctors I trusted with such an important issue for so many years.

Worst doctors office I have ever been to. Not only did they give my child the wrong shot but cancelled our appointment the morning of and when we finally got there they were confused as to what our appointment was even for (after we spoke to them on the phone countless times trying to reschedule based on their mistake).Do not go here.
