Dr Klombers has seen two of my children and just performed surgery on my son. I know people have complained about his bedside manner, but honestly Ive never had an issue. Hes always been very friendly and is extremely good at what he does! Completely corrected my sons alignment issue which was a huge blessing. Wait times have been decent, staff is friendly. No one complained when my 2 year old didnt want to keep his mask on (huge plus in my book!!).

If it wasnt that dr. Klombers is the best around, I wouldnt be here. Currently sitting in office with my 3 year old for a 10:10 appointment. It is now 11:02. Still have yet to see doctor... almost an hour and no where. Klombers is amazing, dont get me wrong, but the waits here are atrocious. Good thing my daughter is fantastic or an hour wait with a 3 year old is completely unacceptable.

The entire staff was friendly, professional, and genuinely there for my best interest. I can not give enough praise to Dr Givens. He was just stellar.Anyone that knows me is aware, I expect high standards. Dr Givens .... well, he raised the bar. He was informative, and answered any question to eye health and procedures. I would highly recommend this practice. So much so, I am getting my husband to have an appointment.

I’ve been going to Campus Eye since 2009. Dr Klombers is fantastic. If it weren’t for him, my daughter wouldn’t be where she is today. I don’t ever write reviews. I take experiences, good or bad, for what they are and move on. After 11 years of this, I feel it’s time to voice concern. My complaint is with the front desk staff and time spent in the office for an appointment. I work in the dental field clinically. I can’t imagine making patients wait 1hr 45mins- 2 hours for an appointment. We run on time and our patients don’t wait more then 10 mins for their appointment. As an insurance driven office, it’s important to stay on time. Every time without fail, I am there a solid two hours. Of those 2 hours maybe 15 mins is actual doctor/patient time. When you add that with rude front desk staff...it’s even worse. The past couple times I have been there the interaction with the front desk has been poor. These people are the face of your office. They’re to be welcoming. They are who new patients interact with first. They are to come across as though they enjoy their jobs. If I could see another doctor as wonderful as Dr Klombers with his expertise in this field...at a different office, with happier front desk staff and where my time is just as valuable as theirs I would transfer. I work, my daughter is in school...2 hours plus driving time, takes a substantial amount of time out of a day. Missing school/work. (I imagine the same for many working parents) This just unacceptable and I hope (from reading other reviews) that this is something you can change moving forward.

Everyone at this practice was really nice to work with. I had gotten a small metal flake in my eye and wasn’t able to get it out myself. They took me in almost right away and it was no problem for Dr. G to get it out. Each person from the receptionist, assistants, and the doctor were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning if I need anything else with my eyes!

I had a great experience with Campus Eye Center. I woke up one day with something in my eye that would not work its way out. I was in so much discomfort that I could not go to work. I called them and they were willing to make an appointment that morning. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The doctor was able to quickly find and remove the object from my eye and I was quickly on my way.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have never experienced customer service this bad before. Rude receptionist. She rolled her eyes and told me I was backing up other people’s appointments when she had made a mistake with putting my insurance information and thought I had giving her invalid information. I had apologized multiple times and she ignored me and the other receptionist next to her had to apologize to me about it. Then I was in the waiting room with my one year old son and he put his face up against the glass on the door and I immediately removed him from doing so and an employee came in with an attitude and told me to not allow my son to “do that to their door again” and I responded by telling her I already removed him from doing so and he hasn’t done it since. She didn’t respond and just walked away.

We moved to Lititz from York where we had eye doctors. For five years weve been traveling back there for our appointments. We finally decided it was time to find an eye doctor here in the Lancaster area. Why didnt we do this before? We are SO VERY pleased with our experience at Campus Eye Center. Everyone from check-in to doctors have been considerate and professional. We both have had Dr Williams. What an exceptionally professional, kind person. He explains things in terms one can understand & most importantly he listens!! Great job Campus Eye Center!!!!

After many years of hit-and-miss results from other eye care practices I was very discouraged. I had been told to expect rapid decline in my vision, and even moved to Lancaster in anticipation. A referral by a casual friend, an optician, brought me to Dr. Klombers a year ago. He determined a scar on my cornea and strabismus were contributing to my discomfort. His additions of multiple prisms to my glasses brought me rapid relief. My condition has stabilized and I am greatly encouraged. I am very grateful for all the information the staff shared with me every step of the way. I strongly recommend this practice.

I called yesterday to make an appointment as a new patient and the woman taking my info was rude and curt. I scheduled an appointment but was so put off by her attitude that I called around and found another Ophthalmology practice that also has good reviews. Secured an appointment there and canceled the appointment with Campus Eye. When I called to cancel, I accidentally pressed 2 instead of 3 and was greeted by a fast and panicked Im with another patient right now, please hold. Seriously? Teach some manners and the art of patience to your staff. First impressions really do go a long way.

At check in the staff were eating and spoke with a mouth full of food to ask my name. This concerned me for health safety reasons and professionalism. Once checked in my wait was not long, one of the few positives encountered. I was taken back for an eye exam where I felt rushed and not thoroughly taken serious. The optometrist was friendly but awkward and frazzled. I was shuffled to a wait room after receiving drops to dilate my eyes. And then sat in a room where I was seen by an Ophthalmologist. Ackward and condescending are two words that don’t do him full justice. I received a rather quick exam for a very serious problem that I am fully versed in as I’ve lived with this disease for quite a large part of my life. I was thoroughly re-educated in a way that was akin to Kindergarten but with less respect. A simple lesson to the office.. not all patients should be treated as they have no clue and you never know a patients clinical background or knowledge. Everyone should be treated with respect and professionalism.

My experience with Campus Eye Center was very good. My eye doctor of many years retired and there was a new eye doctor who took over the practice. This new eye doctor diagnosed me with some things I never had before and she did not explain anything to me as to the cause of these changes and this visit was very unsettling to me. I made the appointment at Campus Eye Center for a second opinion. I had my exam by Dr. David Williams. He explained things to me in a way that helped me to understand the situation with my eyes and therefore, I was more relaxed and at ease. I was so impressed with my care and treatment at the Campus Eye Center and Dr. Williams that Im making him my primary eye care doctor.

Two horrible experiences with Dr. Givens. He has absolutely no time management. The first time I saw him, I waited an hour and 50 minutes past my appointment time to be seen. If my eye wasn’t in so much pain, and my job was a little more flexible with taking sick days, I would have left. The second time I saw him, I waited over an hour to be seen. He wasn’t paying attention and took a patient ahead of me that was supposed to be seen after me. I will never ever ever, recommend anyone with a busy schedule or who cares about their time to see this doctor.

Campus Eye Center was not our initial choice for our daughters eye care but her original doctor retired and we had no choice but to switch to someone else. Dr. Klombers came HIGHLY recommended to us by numerous people. I can not tell you how many people have said hes the best around. I do believe this...however, my complaint isnt necessarily with him as a person or with him as a doctor. My complaint is with the practice as a whole. Unfortunately, I can not rate them much above 2 stars. If I could I would give them 2.5 stars. I just cant give them 3. Heres where it goes down hill1. Receptionists never smile-- they always appear busy and when they do get to you they have very little to say, and when they do speak, its monotone and not very inviting. However, when they are speaking to other employees, I witnessed lots of joking and laughter.2. Environment is...cold. And I dont mean in temperature. Its extremely quiet (to some this would be nice). But seriously, its strangely quiet. Like a morgue. People seem to be on pins and needles. I almost feel like I am required to whisper. This kind of environment is not inviting and not conducive to children. Think about that--Im seeing a PEDIATRIC opthamologist. I was once asked to keep my kids quiet when they were simply using indoor voices. I almost didnt go back. Yes- they have a kids toy room-this is awesome. This definitely sets them apart from other practices. However there is a sign in the play room that says please play quietly.3. The nurses or assistants who take you back before you see the doctor are always in a rush. They walk waaaaaaaaaay ahead of me and turn the corner way before I do. Im walking with kids. kids have small feet. I can only walk as fast as they do. Slow down please. Have a conversation with me as we walk to ensure that we are walking at the same pace. Oh wait, cant talk. See what Im saying?I will continue to go to the practice because I do believe that Dr. Klombers is a great physician and surgeon. We have only been to routine appointments and fortunately (for my daughters sake) have had no need for a repeat surgery. So he has never operated on our daughter. But, due to the high recommendations, I would totally trust him.If you can get past the coldness of the office and if you can get in tune with the whisper voice, this place is for you!
