We had just moved to the area and were looking for care for our toddler while I gave birth to my second child. Faith and Holly were fabulous - they were both happy to meet my toddler in advance to help her be more comfortable, and they checked in with me frequently in the weeks leading up to my due date. When I went into labor they were available in the middle of the night, and my husband and I were able to leave for the hospital with no concerns about my firstborn being well-cared-for. We received several text updates about how things were going, which I really appreciated. Theyre a little more expensive than a babysitter or other childcare options, but we felt it was worth it for their availability, responsiveness, and experience. Overall we were really happy with Faith and Holly and would definitely reach out to Lancaster Doulas again for help with future babies, as well as recommend them to friends!

We used Lancaster Doulas for the birth of our first baby. We had the opportunity to work directly with Holly and had such an amazing experience. We were nervous first time parents and Holly was kind, knowledgable, responsive and patient with all of our questions. She was an integral part of our birth experience at Women and babies hospital and we so appreciated her support. Of note: I tend to lean towards the medical side of things (I planned on an epidural and ended up doing an elective induction) and found Holly incredibly helpful and supportive during the entire experience. Doulas are still an incredibly useful tool even if youre not planning to go unmedicated!

Thanks to lancaster doulas we had the perfect birthing experience. I contacted them the first time sobbing because of a bad experience with my then prenatal care provider. I had always wanted a home birth, while my partner was terrified of the idea. Holly helped us compromise with the solution of a birth center, answered all of our questions and more, helped us form our birth plan, and just overall made us feel safe and informed in our decisions. She was down to earth offering facts and options rather than opinions and just plain likable. During my labor she arrived promptly after calling her, knew how to help me without my asking, and helped keep a calm comfortable atmosphere. We plan to have our next baby at home thanks to the confidence her services gave us both.

We were so grateful for Lancaster Doulas during what turned out to be the most ideal birthing experience we could have hoped for. Our first childs birth was very challenging, ending with a two-week stay in the NICU. Determined to have a more empowered experience with our second, we hired Holly and her team. They were incredibly helpful from the moment we brought them on. They were available when we had questions, checked in to see how we were doing, and Holly shared some golden tips to help encourage labor to begin that made a huge difference. We had a precipitous birth, and Holly was there from the first moments of our daughters life to offer advice for breastfeeding and recovery. She checked in once we were home, as well, continuing to offer both practical and emotional support. We highly recommend her!

Holly is simply incredible and certainly has it in her destiny to do this work -- she is so good at it! Very personable and super easy to connect with. Warm and caring personality. Knowing what I needed during my birth a while before I thought of asking for it was very comforting. I felt supported, guided and truly held in this very new, intimidating experience . Her laughter is the best :) All these qualities of hers made my birthing experience quite pleasant and relatively short. Highly recommended.Dance it out with Holly!

Holly and Faith were fantastic during my labor with our youngest son! I wish I knew about Lancaster Doulas when I had my older two kids.I had a false labor contractions that started a week prior my due date and until I went into a true labor almost a week past my due date. During that time Holly was checking on me, Faith came over to our house and showed a few things to help with pain during those false contractions.My labor was over 24 hours. That entire time either Holly or Faith would stay with me in the delivery room, and helped with a few maneuvers to get the baby in the right position to expedite the labor, and also helping with managing the pain during contractions. It was such a great support, mentally and physically!After delivery, Holly stayed with me for a few hours to make sure I was feeling ok.When we brought our son home, Holly came to our home and we went over everything regarding how both the baby and I was doing.It was such a great experience!! Hannah and the team were AMAZING during my 24+ hour induction. My fiance and I felt so much more prepared having Hannah with us when the contractions started getting really tough (her hip squeezes were heaven sent! 🙏) and having Faith towards the end to help during delivery. Hannah showed us different positions and kept a calm and positive attitude which really helped me through to the end and getting to meet our baby girl! Highly recommend Hannah and the team at Lancaster Doulas!

Lancaster Doulas LLC was an excellent choice for our first childbirth! We are both planners and prefer to have as much information on hand as possible. We contracted Lancaster Doulas for their Doula services and we chose to use them for our birthing class as well. The birthing class was one-on-one and very thorough, so much so that there really werent any major surprises for us during the actual birthing process. Holly did an excellent job of explaining the process, the variables, and the what-if scenarios that could occur. We would highly recommend the class to anyone who has anxiety about the unknowns of childbirth. We were impressed with the responsiveness and the availability of Holly and Hannah, both of whom were always ready and willing to answer any questions we had, regardless of how big or small. It was also comforting to know that if Hannah was unavailable due to a scheduling conflict when the time came, Holly was standing by to fill in. When we were developing our birthing plan, Hannah was very flexible and took the time to get to know us as people first, and helped us work through all the decisions we had to make. She was never pushy or demanding, and was always listening to our needs and wants. Collectively we agreed on a course of action, but we acknowledged that our plans might go right out the window and that we would remain flexible no matter what. Hannah honored and supported our wishes and maintained frequent contact as the day approached. When Kristens water broke, we felt prepared (at least as prepared as anyone can be!) and we transitioned to Women & Babies Hospital in Lancaster (Also highly recommended!). Hannah met us there as soon as she could, while we were still in Triage. She did such an amazing job throughout the birth, so much so that we dont really have words to describe just how amazing she was! She kept Kristen calm and breathing steady, and was constantly making adjustments based on what was or wasnt working. Kristen says the hip squeezes were a lifesaver and Hannah kept it up for about ten hours straight as Kristen progressed. through labor. Kristen also says that Hannahs reassurance and encouragement helped her work through the toughest parts of labor, so much so that when it all said and done, Kristen birthed our 9 pound, 7 ounce, 22-1/2 inch long baby boy naturally and without an epidural or pain meds! Hannahs ability to keep Kristen focused and to help her stay almost unbelievably calm made the birthing experience very manageable, and we would highly recommend Hannah and Lancaster Doulas without reservation. If you are hesitant about the cost, all we can say is the care and attention they provided went far and above anything we could have expected, and we feel that the benefits of having Holly and Hannah on our team far outweighed the initial cost. Absolutely wonderful experience!! Having Holly there gave my husband and I so much peace of mind leading up to the delivery. It was so helpful to have her there during the delivery itself, and she continued to be a support afterwards! In fact, she kindly loaned us a scale when we were having some issues with weight gain in the early days. Five stars!!! (I have also recommended her to several friends, who have had good experiences.)

I cannot praise Lancaster Doulas enough. Holly, along with Faith and Hannah have been a godsend for our family. When I had excruciating back labor for 2 days before being admitted, Faith was so helpful in our home. But it was after we brought our baby girl home that was really treasured. Having Holly Faith and Hannah help us overnight gave us the sleep and reassurance we so desperately needed.

Having Holly as our Doula for the birth of our first child was probably the best decision we made in preparing for labor and delivery. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to prepare us for the hospital and talk us through the first day of an induction. Once she arrived at the hospital the whole experience improved as she made sure both my husband and I had everything we needed and supported him in coaching me through labor. She was a vital asset and I would readily recommend Lancaster Doulas.

Single-handedly, working with Faith as our post-partum doula has been one of the best decisions and experiences we have made. As first time parents, everything was brand new to us and intimidating and Faith showed us the way. From the first baby bath to soothing a crying baby she helped us develop the essential skills needed to care for a baby. She has encouraged us every step of the way. She has helped us and supported in creating a very calm, confident, and low stress environment for our son. Words can’t really capture how much Faith has helped us, and how much we appreciate her. She goes the extra mile in everything she does. Faith is so extraordinarily kind, compassionate, and trustworthy. She has been a blessing.

Lancaster Doulas was incredible before, during, and after delivery. Even though our baby girl was born during the pandemic, and we had to work remotely, our doula, Holly, gave us the support and confidence we needed and coached us every step of the way. We couldn’t have been happier with the care we were given!

We were blessed to have a back-up doula, Faith Boisen, attend our induced labor and delivery. She is kind and compassionate and went above and beyond her responsibilities with the amount of time and energy she devoted to supporting us. Faith truly loves her work and it is evident that her knowledge and experience are enhanced by her love of learning. Faith also provided much needed postpartum support, especially breast feeding guidance. We are so thankful that she was part of the birth of our daughter!

We are so thankful for the wonderful experience we had with Lancaster Doulas! Our doula, Holly was available to us before, during, and after the birth.We had a birthing class with them, which we recommend. We found Holly to be very knowledgable and able to present different alternatives to us for various decisions we had to make. We never felt like the doula was trying to influence us one way or another, but simply giving us data so we could make the best choice for our family. I was also able to call her with when I was concerned about something I read or prepping my bag for the hospital.For the birth, I had to be induced. Before we asked our doula to come to the hospital (during pandemic she couldnt just come and go), she was on the phone with my husband helping him feel less frustrated about certain factors we had to contend with. When we did ask her to come once I went into labor, Holly made me (and my husband) feel calm. She clearly answered questions and was focused just on me and what I needed during labor. It felt so much better having a doula there who has seen hundreds of births and was able to assuage any of my fears.When we finally came home from the hospital, our doula was with us the first night. I cannot tell you how reassuring it was to not feel so alone. I just didnt realize how many questions I was hoping to have that first night, and I had a qualified support system there at the ready! She helped us swaddle the baby and set a feeding schedule. Our doula was also a lactation consultant who helped me with latching issues, pumping, bottle feeding, and proper storage of breastmilk. She also checked in on me occasionally after the birth to see if there was anything else we needed.Very grateful to have had such a caring, supportive, and professional doula to guide us on this journey.

We worked with Holly for our birthing class and set up and then had Faith as our birthing doula. I can not say enough good things about these ladies! I deeply appreciated their knowledge and willingness to work alongside my husband and I at our first birth. They were always timely and communicative. Having a doula helped us tremendously and we got the best one here at Lancaster Doulas!

Holly was fantastic! She really made my husband and I comfortable when it came to the birthing process. Being new at the whole experience, we came into it with a lot of fears, excitement, and questions. Our baby came due 12 days after the original due date and Holly kept in touch with us and gave us some great pointers. We were more comfortable in our decisions since we were more informed. I had to be induced and Holly was there from the start, and I luckily had a fast labor. I also got the placenta pills and I think they helped me heal quicker. Would definitely recommend them! We completed an in-home childbirth education course with her and Faith, which was extremely informative and helped minimize my anxiety as we approached my delivery date. Holly was able to answer any and all questions we had during my pregnancy and delivery. My delivery was an induction and I can’t imagine going through my delivery without her having been there. Her knowledge and support were crucial. Post-delivery, we used Holly’s placenta encapsulation services - this was very helpful in keeping my hormone levels balanced at the start of the Fourth Trimester. Lastly, we’ve worked with Holly, Faith, and Kristi for postpartum overnight care which has truly been a godsend. Knowing that my son - and by proxy, my husband and I - are being cared for by such wonderful and experienced doulas has helped us make the adjustment to parenting that much easier. I cannot recommend Lancaster Doulas highly enough!

Holly came to my home and did placenta encapsulation for us! She is very professional and knowledgeable. I unfortunately couldn’t be here for the process but she allowed my mom to be apart of it and take lots of pictures for me to see. She explained every part of the placenta and described its function. It was incredible! I have been taking my placenta pills every day for a week now and I have definitely noticed my energy levels have increased! I will absolutely be using Lancaster Doulas again!

Holly was an incredible asset to have on our birth journey! I am so grateful for the support and care I received from Lancaster Doulas during the pregnancy, labor, and delivery of my second child. After a less than ideal labor and delivery with my first child, I knew I needed additional support to help me get through the process the second time around, and Lancaster Doulas was the perfect partner for my journey.Holly and Christian met with my husband and me multiple times prior to the labor and delivery to review my birth preferences and to gain an understanding of who we are as a people, so they could better assist in the delivery room. I am generally a very private person, but from the moment I met the two of them, I felt very comfortable with the fact that one of them would be with me during one of the most intense events of my life.I remember feeling such a sense of relief when Holly walked into the delivery room. It was so nice to have a familiar person by my side who was fully aware of my birthing preferences, and who could help me make decisions and answer questions in between contractions. My husband was able to focus on keeping me comfortable during contractions, and Holly did everything else. Holly even jumped in and assisted with counter pressure when my husband was holding me up and couldn’t do it himself. Her words of encouragement put me at ease and helped me stay on track when labor became intense.After delivery, Holly was there to help us get breastfeeding started, and to get us settled into our recovery room. Her assistance was invaluable. Having a doula made me feel more relaxed during the pregnancy, and enabled me to achieve the delivery I envisioned. I highly recommend Lancaster Doulas!

Holly may have saved my life- I had terrible postpartum depression immediately following the birth of my beautiful rainbow baby and Holly came to the rescue. She said all the right things and did all the right things. She was a joy to have in the house. She was amazing with the baby but even better with me- and I needed it! Holly helped us get more sleep, get some lite tidying done, and most importantly, she helped me feel like the best possible mother for my new babe, a feeling that has stuck with me and helped me through times when I doubt my parenting.10/10 would hire Holly again!

Be very aware that if you sign the contract and have your 36 week consult you must pay all your fees upfront...yet then plans change and you the have to have a C section ...YOU GET RIPPED OFF. We paid for full services and had to have a C section procedure and asked for some of our money returned- Nope, negative. We paid big dollars for our Doula to sit in a waiting room and for a 2 hour 36 week consult- this is just bad business that you can’t be refunded a portion of the fees. I would not recommend Lancaster Doulas...for anything. Be prepared to be ripped off!

Holly & Jenny were awesome!! I just delivered my baby at home on March 13th, and Holly was there helping me get through labor. She helped me find good positions to make contractions more tolerable & helped with all the little things that really made a difference in my birth experience. It definitely relieved some stress & burden from my husband who was also there right by my side! My birth would have been completely different (and not in a good way!) if Holly hadn’t been there! She made things a million times more comfortable. Then, what made it even better was being able to call Holly about 2 days afterwards when we were desperate for sleep and just overwhelmed with everything involved in taking care of a newborn! She came over within 4 hours of us calling, and basically gave us a class of how to swaddle, diaper, breastfeed, etc. and answered a million questions - all in the comfort of our home. Another thing I really liked is that since she had seen my little one at birth, she was able to see how he was doing when she came over 2 days later which gave my husband & I peace of mind. Such personalized service!! And both Holly and Jenny are so friendly and awesome, you feel so comfortable with them during the vulnerable time of giving birth. Highly highly recommend Lancaster Doulas for both birth and postpartum!

Holly was so supportive and helpful, not only for me, but also for my family through the whole process. She came right to my home for my placenta encapsulation after the birth, and she was always available to help with breastfeeding. We couldnt have done it without her and Lancaster Doulas!

Update: I wanted to stop back again to say how amazing Holly was for the birth of my 2nd baby! Every labor and deliver is different and this one was quick and hard. It was also different with all the Covid restrictions. Holly help ease my worries and she was able get me through this labor with no medication just like my 1st. Id never go though L & D without her!1st baby: I was worried and wanted someone that was knowledgeable supporting me throughout the whole process! Im so glad I chose to work with a doula for my labor and delivery! Holly was amazing! The support starts before labor, continues through labor and after! I wouldnt want to go through labor without a doulas support now. They are there for all the question you didnt know you needed to ask and options you didnt know you had. Piece of mind is priceless. Holly provided overnight doula care for our 2-3 week old infant after a very difficult labor & delivery. Our entire family was exhausted and she came to the rescue (even through the snow!) to provide services for us. She was extremely professional, asked all the right questions (e.g., what our preferences were, what our parenting style was, what we did/didnt want done throughout the night). We also learned quite a few things from the techniques that she used and taught us for how to get through the night. I would recommend Lancaster doulas to anyone needing overnight care, even for the smallest infants.

Holly and Mallary helped me through a very difficult pregnancy and I cant recommend their services enough. I became confident in my plans and was able to have a vba2c which meant the world to me. Mallary was so supportive during my labor and delivery and is such a sweet doula. Im very thankful for everything Lancaster Doulas has done for me!
