Hands-down the best barbershop in town. The guys are great and theres a really cool chemistry in the building. Tim is awesome and nails my cut every time!

Great place for a haircut. Its a little pricy but the quality is unmatched. The barbers are all friendly, accommodating, and sociable. They are typically booked far in advance so you will definitely want to schedule before you need a haircut.

One morning I had forgotten that I had an appointment at the Black Comb that i had scheduled 4-5 weeks prior. I had picked up another shift at work so was unable to make it when notified that I had missed the appointment. Understandably, Jon asked me to be courteous of showing up for scheduled appointments. I then apologized and told him that I had forgotten, and it should have ended there. He proceeded to email me back telling me that reminders are sent out the day before and the day of appointments. I sent back that I had not received any form of a reminder whether through email or phone. He continued to proceed to confront me and sent me a screenshot of my appointment time and date, telling me “i don’t know what to tell you but you scheduled yourself”, in which i had already acknowledged and apologized for missing. I once again emailed him saying that I understood, but again did not receive any form of a reminder, and to potentially check to see if that system was working. He continued to email me back telling me that he “didn’t know what to tell me, the system is working and everyone else showed up for their appointments”. A very unprofessional and confrontational way to approach an honest mistake(in which i really did receive nothing), and I hope that he doesn’t confront all paying customers like that. I will definitely not be returning for any haircuts at the Black Comb.

Jon and company are simply the best in the area. Their success and reputation can make it challenging to book an appointment in the immediate future. I’ve been coming to them for years and can say no matter who you book with you will have an excellent haircut and great conversation. The shop is clean and wonderfully decorated.

Ive been going to this shop for little over a year or so now. Its a great place to get a haircut. All of the barbers are awesome, theyre very chill and friendly. They remember who their clients are and things about them, which makes the experience more personal. They offer local beer and soda while you wait too which is cool. Its a shop that fits everone.

Ive had a great experience every time Ive gone to the Black Comb. The only reason I couldnt rate it 5 stars is that it is nearly impossible to get an appointment without planning a month in advance. I recognize that is my own problem ... I tend to be a little more spontaneous in my need for a haircut.

Best barber shop ever. Every one will cut a mean head of hair. Convenient to schedule online. Great atmosphere. Ample parking on street and at nearby garage. Solid selection of local craft brews if thats your thing (locally made soda if its not) while you wait. Book early and book often. But leave me some slots to choose from please!

I have had Drew cut my hair and trim my beard numerous times and not once have I walked away upset. The Black Comb is by far the coolest shop around and everyone there is super friendly. Always look forward to getting my hair cut and shooting the breeze with the guys. Would give more stars if I could! Excellent! Ive been getting my hair cut at the Black Comb for the last couple of years and have never been disappointed. I look forward to getting there a few minutes early and enjoying a beer from the fridge and chatting. A few times my regular (Jonathan) has had a full schedule and Ive scheduled with another, and Ive always been pleased. These are quality cutters, but also personable, friendly, and laid-back guys. Highly recommend this place.

When looking for a new barber, I decided to try The Black Comb based solely on the numerous positive reviews. I was not disappointed and will be going back for as long as Im in the area. The guys here strike a perfect balance between professional and laid-back. Oftentimes, going to a new place like this can be nerve-wracking as you know no one and have no idea what the environment will be like. You dont have to worry about that with The Black Comb. As soon as I walked in, they let my girlfriend and I know we could grab a beer from the fridge and have a seat while we waited. While we drank our cold beer (they also have a non-alcoholic option), they did a great job of including us in the ongoing conversation, making it feel less like a random, new business I was trying and more like a friends house I happened to be getting my hair cut at.As for the haircut itself, I booked Cameron Arabi simply because he had space in his schedule. I had absolutely no idea how I wanted my hair cut. I told him to give me something modern and clean. Even with such little direction, he delivered exactly that. If youre a guy looking for a change, but have no idea what you want, definitely try this place. As I waited for my turn, I watched each of the barbers give guys haircuts/styles Id be happy to have. This isnt a place thats going to just buzz the sides, trim the top and shove you out the door. They take their time and make sure youre satisfied with how its turning out, all while providing a comfortable environment.If youre reading this review, I highly recommend trying The Black Comb!

Fantastic barber shop with a really unique and friendly staff. I didnt know much hair style terminology, but they are really friendly and work with your idea. Always come outta there looking spiffy. The shop itself is also filled with a bunch of cool stuff and there are free beverages!

Ive been seeing Cameron for a while now. I highly recommend getting your haircut here. If youre looking for a barber that has an attention to detail then look no further. They are also the best with beards and it doesnt hurt that theres a free beer with your haircut.

I have been going here since they were on N. Duke and only two chairs. Jon (the owner) is so nice and the whole crew is always welcoming and up for a good joke. Growing up in the punk/music scene it’s a perfect fit. Do note it is appointment only for those who’ve never been.

Eddie cut my hair, happened to be 1st barber who had earliest opening, and cut my hair the best anyone has ever done before. He will cut my hair until I leave lancaster or he opens his own shop outside of lancaster

Went in with no plan, and scruffy hair and beard. Came out looking like a model ... from the neck up!! Thanks Drew. Wife says it is best haircut I have had in three years. The atmosphere was great, and the conversational style of the entire group is reminiscent of the old school barber shop where everyone knew everyone or quickly grows to know everyone. The free beer definitely helped the short wait and the embrace of technology for scheduling appointments is great. And if you have never had a hot towel and straight razor shave you should. I guess the best statement is that I will no longer be going anywhere else.

Finally went here after hearing all the hype.They gave good hair cuts, but I hope every barber does. I just thought it was so hyped up and over priced for a hair cut. I can get a haircut (with a full beard trim and shape up) done for 1/3 the price and just as good at another barber. Whether that’s the skill of the one person who did the cut or your whole shop, only you would know that. I evaluated your shop for the rep it’s had. When I went, It didn’t live up to what a lot of people say. I don’t see what a $15 dollar drink in NYC has anything to do with the credibility of my review.
