I dont know how this place has a 5 star rating, because my experience wasnt that good. I have thin-medium length curly hair and it was my first time going here. The place is very nice decorated and everyone is very welcoming. The products they use are good, smell very nice and left my hair a little soft, but even after all of these, the hair stylist wasnt able to work well with my hair. My hair ended up puffy, still curly and with no style at all. She trim my hair wet and then dried again for better style, but the dry wasnt professional at all, because at the front I still have my curls and I wasnt able to see my layers as I asked. I didnt feel she pulled my hair good enough to get it straight and Im not a certified hair stylist but honestly, I straight my hair a lot better and it last me at least 5 days. I regret paying for a service that wasnt exactly what I asked for and for been the first time there, its really disappointing. I didnt even mine to pay $100 or more to get my hair done, because even with the bad service, I tipped the stylist for trimming my hair and taking the time, but I really wanted to pay and get it right and look more beautiful. Awful. I really think that if this place doesnt know how to work with thin, curly and corse hair, they shouldnt have 5 star rating. My honest opinion. I didnt want to put a picture, because I didnt like the way it looks, but I went in with a family member waiting for me and saw everything. I even let the staff know about my disappointment through a phone call right away I left, because I didnt want to embarrass the stylist in front of everyone.

I visited Tangles last night as a first time customer and had a great experience! My hairstylist Kelly was so very sweet and very talented. I tried to cut my own bangs and it was a bad move. Probably the worst thing Ive ever done to my hair but thankfully she fixed me up and made so I can reenter society looking like a normal person. Salon is very clean, easy to get to, and has a line of very talented staff you cant go wrong here!

I’m new to the area and had my second hair cut with Erik today, I am so happy I found this salon. Got great cuts both times - I think this is the first stylist I’ve ever used that I don’t go home and wash and restyle. My hair looks and feels great, and the time in his chair flew by - such a pleasant guy 😊

I loved Raquel she is wonderful! Did not like the customer care! I was charged twice for my service and it took a few calls and over a week to get my money back!

Was very apprehensive getting a trim for the first time since 2016. Erik was very polite and welcoming, had some great conversation while he got my hair back in good condition which was around 20 minutes that flew by too fast. All of the stylist were very hard at work with smiles on their faces and a grace of professionalism I seldom see any industry. Passionate individuals, seriously this place is awesome and I love it. If youre reading this, yes, you should come here.

My fiance and I just had back to back appointments with Erik and we both couldnt be happier! Literally just got home and wanted to leave a review right away.The covid protocols made us feel very comfortable: outside handwashing station, signage about distancing, and hand sanitizer on every counter. The washing station was sanitized right away and they had plastic barriers between stations.We both got exactly what we wanted and were impressed with Eriks passion and meticulous expertise. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful also! And their text reminders are great.If I could rate 10/10 I would.

Ive been here once before a LONG time ago.. Ill admit that I usually go to places like super cuts etc. because I never wanted to spend the $$$ on a simple haircut. But you get what you pay for and I usually ALWAYS dislike my haircut afterwards. This time I knew I needed a new cut and wanted to go a little shorter than usual but was very nervous. So I decided to call Tangles (the professionals 😊) and surprising the young women on the phone was able to get me in that night at 8pm with Kayla :) Now Tangles closes at 9... From the minute I walked in the door, I did not feel rushed at all. Kayla was fun, nice and made me feel so good about my hair cut! She took the time to actually listen to what I wanted and I am more than pleased with my haircut!!! :) Thank you Kayla!

Natalie was great. I had my hair cut, all over color, then had blue and purple added in a peek-a-boo style. It turned out great. The only reason I didnt give a five star is because it took awhile to get an appointment. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for my initial appointment. Other than that its wonderful.

This salon is the only one you need to go to! Eric was my stylist and he did beyond a fantastic job on my perm! He was exuberant, lively and I can tell has a strong passion for what he does. All of the stylists do. He is thorough, focused, and held the perfect balance of being able to hold a conversation and spend time focusing on his work. He made sure that my comfort and safety was met; little things add up to a fantastic experience.I highly recommend Tangles. It is a perfect balance of upscale standards and a welcoming, laid back environment. I will be returning for all services in the future. Their prices are exactly what you want to invest in.

I went to Tangles for the first time yesterday and had a great experience! Michelle and I discussed my hair and what I wanted and she explained what the process would be to get me to my result ( she was honest in saying it would take probably 4 months to get there). She then cut my hair very minimally and gave it a great shape. I just LOVE it! I am definitely going back to her. The rest of the people at the salon seemed very nice too, making sure I had been helped, offering coffee, etc. Overall a great experience!

Amazing salon! From start to finish the staff does everything they can to make you feel welcomed. Cori is absolutely amazing- not only does she do amazing color but she has helped coach me on ways to improve my hair between appointments. I really feel like she genuinely cares about each of her clients and goes above and beyond for them!

Just moving here from NJ, I relied on Google reviews to pick out a salon to go to. Tangles had great reviews, and I am here to add another! I loved the atmosphere and decor right away, and the receptionist was very friendly. Kayla was my stylist, and she did an amazing job! I would say I had about 8 inches of hair cut off, so it was a bit of a drastic change...I love it! I only get my hair cut a few times a year, but I will return to Tangles without a doubt!

From day one this establishment treated me with courtesy and respect. The stylists are warm and friendly. Its obvious they love their work. The prices may be a little on the high side but the results are worth it. Besides...have you ever known a great salon that isnt a little expensive? Ive tried the cheap haircut places and it is always hit or miss. I have had several cuts and color here and I am delighted with each visit. To me, spending a little more money for this quality of work is money well spent.

I always love the vibe in there -- very professional with lots of energy. I really like my hairdresser Audrey as she listens, has good ideas and is always focused though fun to talk to as if catching up with an old friend. I recommend her to everyone. Their prices are reasonable and hours are so convenient (especially on Mondays, evenings and Satrudays!!!).

It took me awhile to find a place i liked and a stylist I felt comfortable with but Ive been going here for awhile now and feel like they always do a great job on my coloring.

I just had to call the salon to let them know of a coupon I have for my haircut tomorrow. Great receptionist Kayla. Recognized my phone numberor appt. Time and said is this Janet. Thats wonderful customer service. Super nice young lady. I am desperately in need of a great haircut. I am excited to meet Megan tomorrow. My sister Susan Holt is a client at Tangles and is always very satisfied.

Brought a picture of cut I liked. My finished cut is 4 inches shorter than pic and doesnt look remotely like it! Specifically said I wanted volume and she blew it dry completely flat. The stylists at Luxe seem to be much more skilled. Tangles was just closer. Learned my lesson.

About 8 years ago I received a voucher to have a free haircut for Tangles, which I used and had a good experience. At that time, an upscale salon like this was not in my budget, or I would have gone back. I usually go to Holiday Hair because my hair is generally simple to cut, and it’s about half the price. I recently received another voucher for a free haircut or single-process color. I wanted to get highlights, so I called first to understand what a “single process color” was and if it could be used towards my highlights. After discussing this on the phone for a few minutes and what the price options were, I agreed to get highlights (which I was told the voucher could be applied toward) and a haircut. I decided that if this was a good experience, I would consider going there, because at this point in my life a salon like this is something I would spend my money on.I went in for my appointment and was taken back with my stylist. She asked what I wanted done, and I explained everything, and mentioned my voucher that I was going to be using toward the highlights. She said the voucher could not be applied to the highlights, and I discussed my conversation on the phone with someone and the different prices they quoted me, to which she simply stated it could not be applied to the highlights. She really was not open to any discussion about it. At this point I decided I was only going to get the haircut. She started a timer on her counter. She washed my hair, cut it, dried it and trimmed the edges up a little bit more after it was dry. I asked for a quarter of an inch to be cut off, she suggested a whole inch to which I replied no. Total time according to her timer was 19 minutes until I got up and left. She made no conversation with me, and I felt like she couldn’t wait to get me done and out of the chair for a “real paying” customer. I gave her a $20 tip despite this, which she didn’t acknowledge.If giving out vouchers to people of a certain demographic or neighborhood is their way of getting new customers, they really should treat those people at least as good as the others if they want our business. I normally go to Holiday hair where I get friendly conversation and they spend longer than 19 minutes, and it costs half as much.

A bit expensive but worth it. Erik is awesome.

I have been going here almost 3 years now. Erik is a rock star and you will leave the salon feeling like one. Before going to Tangles I had trouble with stylists really listen to what I wanted and getting the results I was expecting. That does not happen here and I WILL NOT trust anyone else with my hair. Erik is inventive, attentive, and always has fresh ideas so that this picky-about-hair-girl is never bored with her fabulous, fun-colored hair! I am stopped daily, sometimes multiple times in a day with positive comments about my hair. Love you Tangles (especially Erik!!!!!)

1st time I had hair cut & hair color w highlights. When finished looked into mirror. I didnt like the highlight job on the Lt side, looked mousey brown. Had stylist came over to access situation. Both stylist configured w each other. Once 2nd job was done. Color an cut was great. They took the time to listen to the customer. I will return again.

Chose this place because of all the recommendations and the reviews, but I have to say, it was not that great! I wanted to refresh my balayage and get the ends trimmed. After I called and asked specifically for a person who has a lot of experience working on long blond hair, I was scheduled with Madonna, she is new master stylist. She was really nice, I showed her the picture and explained that I dont want my hair be bleached blond, I would like more natural look blending in with my natural color. How ever, my beautiful blond hair, is completely damaged now , it is bleach blonde on the ends, breaks up and orange on top. I am horrified, it doesnt look that I went to a nice salon and spend $200 on my hair.... Hair cut the same, looks like I chopped it of myself, one side is shorter than the other... I am not sure where all this reviews are coming from but it didnt work out for me. Same thing for my husband and my son, they went to get a hair cuts and come back looking that they went to a $10 barber shop ....

Took my daughter to Tangles , had a great experience. So I booked an appointment, then my mom, then my older daughter. Now all four of us go!
