Presenting in the area from Ghana,West Africa I was delighted to see the listing to get my hair trim. Unfortunately, the owner, understandably busy, failed to hear my needs via phone and reverted to upsaling vs. hearing my needs-,ie; trim became a cut, wash became deep condoning. All naturals need deep conditioning cause they need it Huh!? Broad statement sight unseen. I wouldve preferred for her to say Baby lets schedule a wash, trim & go, yet assess when you get here, you might need a cut and deep conditioning👍🏾or better yet hon, thanks for calling but Im with a customer right now, let me call you when finished.👍🏾Rather, becoming brash, she scared me off, and mostly the family of 4 (3 females) as well.

Shauntell is such a classy lady and a true professional. She works wonders on my daughters hair. She explains everything to her and provides the hair stuff for her to use. Its a joy to have her do my kids hair. I totally recommend her to everyone!! She is extremely kind and patient and a pleasure to deal with. Sistaz is a great place to get your hair done and Shauntell is a very nice kind lady and a true professional. You cant go wrong coming here!

Can’t speak for all the people there but the person I saw, I think is the owner. First time I was there she was on the phone for about 15 min of my appointment. I was on a time crunch and she knew this. I let that go and made another appointment before leaving for two weeks in advance. Showed up for that appointment and she had someone in her chair and others waiting. She tells me how someone that morning has her delayed and she’s about 2 hours behind and she mentions something about me being new and her scheduling system. I tell her she made me the appointment herself while I was there the last time and she was surprised. She obviously didn’t remember me nor take any responsibility in any part of the screw up. It’s somehow the scheduling system’s fault that she did not bother to look at it and let people know she was behind. I just left. She didn’t apologize or anything. I get that things happen but the least she can do is communicate before I waste my time going there and mess up my entire day. Maybe call me and see if I can reschedule? One star for unprofessionalism and disorganization. Can’t speak too much on the quality of hair service because I got something quick and simple the first time and nothing the second time.

Sharon was very professional and actually talked me through how to use different products and how they affect my hair. Sharon also gave me tips on how to maintain my hair in between salon visits. I will definitely be going back.

Shantel was on time and very professional. I got a cut and style. I loved the end result. The only thing I personally think it’s a bit pricey than the salon I used before.

I had my hair done here for the first time yesterday. I am super pleased! Theres a lot I can say about the ladies who own and run this salon.1. Theyre friendly!2. They educate you! I was educated on every step that was being done to my hair and was given tips on what to do at home.3. They are honest. They wont tell you that you need all of these extra products or services or that your hair is in worse shape than it is. They wont tell you that you need to come every week or even every two weeks. Theres just no pressure in this place. They are genuine about hair care.Not to mention I really do like my cut and style and Im excited to go back in 2 weeks!

These ladies are amazing. They took the time to talk to me about every step through the process. They are very personable and knowledgeable. I have never been completely satisfied with a hair cut until now. It was also my first time for coloring my hair and I loved it immediately. I highly recommend this salon and these wonderful ladies!!!

I have had my hair done here before and although it was probably 10 years ago, as someone with mixed hair they did a great job.

My experience here has been nothing but exceptional. The stylists were nothing but professional and very informative about the services that were going to be provided to me. I got a virgin relaxer. I had been natural for 4-5 years and was picky on what salon I choose to put the relaxer chemical in my hair. The whole process I was told what was happening, what products were being used, and how I felt throughout the process. The philosophy of salon is healthy hair over styling the hair. I trusted the stylist and since communication is so open, it is easy to feel comfortable. I am definitely going back there again for my touch up and style. The end product of my hair is smooth, shiny, silky, and HEALTHY!!! I rather have healthy growing hair then pay a stylist to damage my hair because I want something that should not be done to my hair strands.

I had a great experience. Everyone was kind and made me feel comfortable. I was asked how I would like my hair done, as opposed to when a hair stylist makes a decision themselves. I loved how my hair turned out and I left feeling beautiful.

Can’t really say how many stars. I contacted them to see if they were able to do services on my daughters hair and they never replied to my email. I wasn’t sure how it would it work since my daughter is Caucasian and our hair is textured differently for what she wanted. I will try elsewhere.

I moved here from Chicago and as you can imagine the fear and anxiety that comes with finding and getting to trust a new stylist. I searched online and found this hair salon, I loved the way it looked in the pictures and the reviews I read were very good. I called and spoke with Shauntel, I went in for my first appointment and everything was professional and personable at the same time. There was no pressure to get unwanted things done to my hair . I love this place, I love the service and how consistent she is and more over I love the way she does my hair - always on point. Check them out!!!!

Im not a big fan of this salon, not because the hairdressers arent nice, but how they do hair. They are very rough, which is a big no no for me. Natural hair is very fragile and should be handled with gentleness and much care. Hearing snapping or the comb making a ton of noise while the clients head jerks is not what you should hear or see. I get having a lot of clients, but each client should come out feeling like they were a top priority. Dont book too many people if you are going to rush through each one. The experience needs to be personable. Not coming back. Im quite sad there are not a lot of natural salons around, but thank God for YouTube. Desperate times call for desperate measures lol.

I am picky about my hair stylists. And its hard for me to trust one. So when I find a good one that I trust, its hard for me to go to anyone else but them....no matter how far away I may move.And this place is beyond all expectations. You can tell the owners are passionate about hair. They are always staying on top of the latest trends and are always looking for products that will help with a clients hair problem (for example, my hair holds water and is super thick. they found a product that helped my hair dry faster...it took about two hours for my hair to dry under the blow dryer. Now its only 45 min to an hour. And they use the product for their other clients that dont take nearly as long as me).I live near the philly airport now, and I STILL travel all the way out here to get my hair done. I LOVE this place!They are generous, knowledgeable, TALENTED and kind hair stylists! If I could move them by me, I would!

I dont live in the area but, my brother and sister-in-law do and I visit often. I was in the hair supply store trying to find products when a very helpful customer informed me that I did not need all of the things I had in my cart. I asked why and she said she was a stylist and I was spending way too much on products that I didnt even need. We conversed and thats when she told me about their salon (She and her sister). I asked if I could get an appointment that day and she said yes. The rest is history...the salon is very very nice, clean, everything in order in its place and staff very caring and professional. I will be driving the 50 miles to get my hair done at this salon. Thank you, Shauntele!

Stopped goingMy scalp was never washed right due to the nails that the stylist had on .. My hair was a hit or Miss .One week my hair looks great next week it looked l liked I did it. I left amd started going to Jas It up Hair studio and I dont regret it

I have been going to Sistaz for over 10 years. The owners, Sharon and Shauntel are professional and curteous. They do a great job of educating clients on how to take care of their hair, and they are quick... no spending all day at the salon!

I got a weave installed by this hair salon and wow I have never seen anything like that! The braider braided my hair in such a weird way and pattern. When I went to go take it out, there were knots in the braids and because of that I lost probably an inch of hair. This salon is WAY over priced
