OH MY GOSH, the WORST experience ever! On Tuesday my daughter and myself go to Miriams shop personally to make the appointment. My daughter shows Miriam a picture of the style she wants and my daughters hair was in its natural state so Miriam knew exactly what type of texture of hair she would be braiding. On Wednesday Miriam calls to confirm the appointment. On Thursday the day of the appointment Miriam calls to say she is running late. I dropped my daughter off at her scheduled appointment time (10a.m) letting Miriam know that my daughter has orientation for high school at 3:30. Miriam assured me that my daughters hair would be done by then. At 12:30 my daughter calls me telling me that Miriam stopped braiding her hair to do someone elses hair and that she doesnt think shell be done by 3:30. At 1:30 my daughter calls me again stating, she does not like her hair and ask Miriam to do box braids. Miriam told her no she doesnt have time. While on the phone with my daughter Miriam was telling my daughter not to take pictures of her hair, telling her she is trouble, yelling at my daughter, recording my daughter, snatching my daughters phone to talk to me and telling me I need to watch the company my daughter keeps because she is trouble. When I arrived at the shop Miriams tone was way calmer than what it was on the phone. Miriam told me that the picture my daughter showed her was a wig and that my daughters hair was too coarse and not permed so it would not come out looking like the picture. Mind you, my daughter and myself were at the shop two days before that and Miriam saw the picture and my daughters hair. Why didnt she say anything about that then? My mother, daughter and myself started taking out the 17 braids in my daughters hair. 17 braids done in 4 hrs. While taking out the braids Miriam insisted that she get paid for her services because she is a professional. I told her I was not paying her because this is not the service that we wanted. Miriam then locked us in the shop and called the police. The police said since we did not receive the services we requested and we gave Miriam her hair back there was nothing they could do. I had read all the negative reviews and heard negative things from friends about this shot but I did not want to knock it till I tried it. However, never again!

As others have said…prepare to be there forever. Had a morning appt thinking I’ll be done faster but she would multitask and I ended up being there for hours. She takes her time, talks on the phone or her friend and have u wait while she also is working on someone else. Also her pricing is high especially for such a bad service. Not sure what the point of an appt is if she’s gonna work on others while working on me. I do not recommend this place unless you’re desperate

If only I could post the picture. 😤Heads up if you like taking gambles with your hair this is the spot. Go at your own risk and don’t be in a rush. Plan to wait....

Very fast and Courteous service

Wonderful salon and wonderful people. They are great with kids and the prices are great too. Everyone knows getting braids is not a quick process but theres always positive vibes and Ive never left disappointed.

Wish there were more staff to speed up the process. However the owner is a lovely person and Im always satisfied with the final results. Prices are reasonable and the salon is kid friendly.

Does not treat her employees well

I came in at 10:30 am and was looking to get 6 cornrows done. I ended up waiting for 3 hours and left with nothing being done. She kept insisting that she was almost done. She was taking her time doing other peoples hair while talking to her friend. I left the place mad because I didnt have all day. I have places to be and things to do. I asked her how long before it is my turn and they kept saying less than an hour which resulted to 3 hours of waiting. I ended up leaving after 3 hours. I didnt care to get them barided anymore.

All I can say they deserve a 10 star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Had an amazing experience! Very pleasant, dedicated Godly woman! And the hair skills are amazing! Thank you Peace and Mimi for an amazing experience! May God keep blessing those hands!!!

I have been a client here since the opening. I love the way everyone is treated as a family member. Service is excellent, and I have recommended many other friends and family.

This place is horrible and my dumb self gave them two tries. The first time I left them blow my hair out. I know its a braid shop but they said they do it and they charged me 60 for it. She dropped the iron on my scalp. Why? Cause she was busy running her mouth and not watching what she was doing. I tried to be understanding about it and kept it cool for the remainder of the time. The second time I went there was to get twist or braids in. My hair is cry fine and thin these days due to chemo, but its doable in terms of braids or twist. She was extremely inpatient and rude to me. I kept asking her for suggestions because I didnt want to get something to heavy for my hair type and have it fall out or cause my hair to break off. She had me go thru a book of hairstyles. After abut five minutes she got angry with me for taking to long to decide on something. The way she was acting was as if I had been sitting there for an hour trying to decide our something,which brings me to the last two things. It does take forever to get your hair done here, it takes a really long time to get in the chair and she then works on multiple heads at a time. Second she does not have the hair there and its not included in the price. Add all this to the rudeness and its just not a good salon exsperience.

They do nice work but their service is HORRIBLE. Appointments do not matter because they too focused on trying to get every dollar. I went in at 3:30pm and did not leave until 1:15am. They did half of my braids and stopped to do other clients heads despite my objections. I started to leave they asked me to stay and they would both start working on my head which they did not until very late. I felt stuck because half my hair was done. I will not go back even though I love the way my hair turned out.

Owner is terrible, disrespectful, and highly disorganized. I paid $180 for a specific hairstyle. I did not get the style I asked for and when I asked for my hair to be rebraided into the style or a refund. The owner told me repeatedly that there’s nothing wrong with my hair and I have low self-esteem...and refused to rebraid my hair!!Please do yourself a favor and stay away from them.

The personnel here are very nice very inviting, now the service that I got was mediocre I got cornrows done like a man bun style. I showed the lady a picture but the end result was nothing like what I showed her. My cornrows were not in sync a few days after that they looked bad.. when I took them off I have to tell you I dont know what she put on my hair thats making my hair fall off like crazy. And my hair is pretty thick and strong this never happened to be before even the day I got them done she put something with a brush and put me under the hair dryer for like 10 minutes after that my scalp was burning a little bit I just thought it was the heat I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in what is happening to my hair again I have no idea what she put on my head that caused this to happen. Its a shame to write a bad review but I feel like business owners should take them into consideration and try to improve in the service they provide and try to expand their skills and be careful what you put on peoples hair. Im gonna see a dermatologist to see if they can figure out why my scalp is burning and why my hair is falling after coming here.

She eats while doing your hair, tells you 11oclock then doesn’t have you done till 5. Will do other people’s hair while yours, and be on the phone the whole time

Went to get faux locs dont it was horrible, very stiff, looked nothing like the picture I showed them. Some parts were shorter than others. Before they were finished I kept asking if its going to look better at the end because I dont like it at the moment, and they reassured me that it would look just like the pictures (multiple) I showed them. The end result looked like something an upcoming hairstylist could do. I specifically went to a professional for a reason. They shouldve been honest and say, we dont specialize in faux locs, not our expertise. To top it off they charged more than they quoted me. She quoted me 170 for bra strap length and I actually got shoulder length, which is a lot shorter, and she still said 170 at the end. I took my hair out the same night. Waste of money! They are nice people, but service was horrible. They Are good at other styles, just not faux locs. I will never return there!!

First time there and was kind of hesitant to get my sons dreads retwisted but they are great there and the price is good too

MY APPOINTMENT WAS AT 1pm GOT A PHONE CALL AT 12:30 saying they are a hour behind got there at 2 didn’t get in the chair until 3:00 while getting my hair done they stopped and did 3 other peoples hair didn’t leave out until 1:30 am i went on a sat by sun all the braids in the back fell out 🤬
