White Deer Run of Lancaster is an all-male, 27-bed detox & rehab facility set in a historic row home in Lancaster, PA. The facility offers a nice, homey feeling, excellent programming, and a dedicated & caring staff!The nursing team is second-to-none and, under the direction of the Medical Director, offers a safe, comfortable, medically-monitored detox. As far as the clinical team is concerned, the Clinical Supervisor and her team of incredible counselors offer large groups, small groups, one-on-one sessions, and family sessions. Psych evaluations are also a part of the rehabilitation program for patients with co-occurring disorders. For rec time, basketball, corn hole, walks, going to the park, attending outside AA & NA meetings, as well as going to an off-site gym are incorporated into the day-to-day programming.

I had a terrible experience there. Do not go there.

White Deer Run Lancaster is a 27 bed facility working with males only. The best part about this place is its size. Many people with the disease of addiction need individual attention which can be very hard to get at a larger facility. This facility really emphasizes the importance of community and allowing the clients to share what they are really struggling with promoting true healing. They are given on average 8 groups daily, weekly individual sessions, and family sessions if requested or recommended. There are a lot of great groups ran here that focus on mental health, CBT, and DBT principles. There is also a lot of fun here, including monthly hikes in the nicer months, trips to park, YMCA, gardening groups, Music Therapy, Art Therapy and so many more powerful groups. Our Alumni rocks and frequently holds events throughout the year which shows this program works if you work it! If you really want to change, be held accountable, and treat your addiction youve come to the right place.

Great counseling and nursing staff. Top notch techs that help keep programming cohesive. All male facility allows person to remain focused on treatment. Highly recommend.

I was there from 06/03/2019-07/01/2019 (28) days and it was the BEST 28 days in a rehab, i am soo unbelievably greatful for finding this place and experiencing it. i have never been to a place that truly cares the techs nurses and counselors are absolutely AMAZING all of them take time out of their day to help anyone my counselor tess helped me threw so much i let go of so much and learned how to forgive myself which is huge. thank you lancaster white deer for helping me god bless

After a 14 day stint short of the 21-28 day rehab I was driven to AMA under the following conditions listed by importance respectively.-Air quality - All room AC/Heat units had large amounts of mildew and mold as well as drainage issues and 240v wires resting in full condensing pans. ~ it should be Alarming that the Maintenance schedule was only 1- 2 times a year.-Neglect of staphylococcus and abscess among a fellow patient led to an emergency hospital trip.-Tech staff was short handed with only 1 on-hand during the weekend. This caused various issues and undue stress on the budget stressed already short-handed staff-Prolonged haphazard kitchen chores should be Staff responsibilities only aided by patients. Not reliant on patients only; Attempting to Prep, serve then eat on the fly, clean up and be present for group meetings places undue stress upon those recovering.-Restrictions to vitamins and over the counter headache medications but not pharmaceutical sleep aids and Subutext (opiate-like) daily/nightly.- AMA / Walk Off ex-patients could walk off and were accepted back in without hesitation giving opportunity for drugs to enter the facility.- Lack of searching procedures allowed illegal substances to enter the facility.- Proper Hygiene among new comers not mandated but only recommended within 24 hours.- Uneducated staff/nurse/ or Councilor made a statement that synthetic drugs (Fetynal, Oxy ect.) arent tested for..which is false.- Under county funding all further help and insurance qualifying procedures may be cut due to AMA clause which early borderlines retribution/punishment.- Poor communications among the top Salary staff during the weekends *only hourly staff is ever off the clock
