We brought our young daughter here to get her hair braided for the first time. Aita did a fantastic job. I do not feel they are overpriced nor is the salon unkempt. My preschooler and I hung out comfortably during the appointment. My daughter had a great experience and her hair looks phenomenal. We will be going back.

Everyone is very polite. Ameena did my hair very well. She was fast and did great.

I arrived early for my retwist dread appt and the stylist, Ameena, arrived 20 minutes late. Didnt greet us and didnt apologize for being late. Also, the stylist wasnt prepared to work and was missing beauty supplies that I had to buy. Never very professional.The retwist was very bad. Left very very disappointed and will never return at all. My advice is: be on time, be prepared, retwist all dreads,, and follow the style of the dreads instead of creating your own.

I made an appointment and went there to get dreadlocks if I entering the building they greeted me and were very nice and respectable throughout my time there everyone was very nice I enjoyed on the atmosphere my hair was done very professional and I will certainly visit there again

They have come really far over the years. Ive always been satisfied with the styles but, they have cleaned up the shop, got better organized with the schedule and will work with you as much as possible if you need to deviate from your scheduled time. I see people say the prices are high, I say you get what you pay for. If you want to pay $40 to the girl down the street and she stand you up, dont be mad. Id rather pay more and deal with professionals bc my time is $$$. I think theyre amazing ❤❤❤

My hair is natural and I got twist braids by the owner. She was unprofessional, loudly talking on the phone (in my ear) while doing my hair for majority of my appointment. Before getting my hair done, I discussed my concern about my edges and she said she would leave them out. She did not. When I left the shop my edges were extremely tight. I almost took out the twists the same day but decided to give it a chance. About a month later (28 days), one of the twists has fallen out with a tiny piece of my hair. Prior to a month, I removed two twists that were dangling from my edges. When I got to the root of my hair, I could not figure how to remove my natural hair from the braiding hair completely. I think she was not accustomed to doing someones head who had naturally real long hair and not bald headed. I will not return.

Great people. Good, professional service and delivers an amazing finish product. Took my 10 year old daughter there yesterday (twice in all) and each time we go, the more amazed I am. Very gifted hands. If you want an amazing look, go to Yamis.

Went in for a touch up for Senegalese twists that I had done at another shop couple weeks prior. Couldn’t get appointment there. So she just redid top part, the lady braid super tight painful experience and wasn’t as neat as prior stylist.

I received rope twist about a week ago and the newer lady did them... My hair is already coming out.. and very loose as if it’s been done for 2 months..!

Known them for 4 plus years, they are great people. They have such wonderful experience. They braid fast and it always comes out exceptional. Awa is great people! Customer service is key 👌🏾

This place has the best hair dressers! They are fast and inexpensive.

They were 35 minutes late offered no apologies or discounts. The owner tried to convince me to go with another hair style that I didn’t like. Listen, if you don’t know how to style locs just say so. I had my debit laying somewhere, She took my debit behind my back and processed to swipe before telling me my total. They are way over priced!! I only went there because all the real locticians were book.

When I went the place was messy. Very hot in there. Barely any place to sit if you have to wait. And the owner just allows what I assume to be her son to lay on the couch so the clients are left to stand! Poor customer service. Decent braiding but nothing to rave about for the pricing.Got a reply back in a timely manner about my poor experience, which I greatly appreciate. Next time I am back in town I will give this place one more chance.

If there was a way that I could put no stars on this review, I would. My experience here was TERRIBLE!!My mum took my sisters and I here to relock our hair. From the start, it was terrible. I will NEVER go there again.The customer service is absolutely horrendous. Appointment was set for 9am and the owner arrived at 9:30am. That was the first strike.As she was doing my hair, it felt like her fingernails were digging into my scalp and she was doing it so tightly I thought she would rip my hair out. Plus I have an extremely tender scalp so you can only imagine how much PAIN I was in. That was the second strike.The part that really annoyed me was this. My mum came to pick us up and was looking at what she did to our hair and noticed she had joined some together which was strange because we had never done that before. So my mum proceeds to ask her about what she has done and she starts to argue with my mum. Im not joking. She just started arguing out of the blue. My mum asked a simple question and she just blew up.I recommend to NEVER go to this woman as she will ruin your day and kill your hair/scalp.

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT go to this place! Ive been having my hair professionally braided for over 20 years and never encountered such a horrible experience1. The owner did my hair. She braided my hair and edges extremely tight to the point where my scalp was buckling. I was certain my edges would come out, but my spouse convinced me to give it a week. I could only last six days. Parts of my edges are smooth as a babies butt. They are gone! Amy scalp is still aching and yes I put sprays and gel on my scalp to no avail.2. She burnt my hair! After she braided my hair, she used a candle and lit the entire braid. Past the point where my hair and the synthetic hair met. I was not aware that she placed the fire on my hair until she got to the front of my hair and I could see her. Any professional should know that if you put fire near someones hair its going to burn. When I removed the braids 6 days later, most of my hair was burnt off. It is now short extremely short where it was once was once long.Now you know and can make an informed decision as to whether or not you want to patronize this establishment. Im considering litigation.

Yami’s did a good good on my hair ! I loved their service and I loved the way my hair turned out . I showed the hairstylist a picture of how I wanted my hair and she did it exactly the way I wanted and pictured it . Very friendly environment and service . I will be back for sure for more services in the future

I am new to Florida I have had a business reject clientele before .First day i called voiced snapped what you want I remained calm explained the service I wanted its 10:12 am I was told to call tomorrow . Trying to give the benefit of the doubt it may have been hectic day i called 40 minutes after opening was told shell call me back but took no call back information.....WTH

I waited for 3 hours even though I made an appointment for Tree Braids. Braided hair loose fell out the same day when I tried to style. The braider did redo the style. The style was expensive and the fix was still not to my satisfaction. My style lasted 2 weeks. I have found another shop.

First, my appointment was at 9am but they arrived about 9:15, got kinky twist and it took her 10 hours to braid my hair. I was told 110.00 over the phone and had to pay 160.000...Today is day 2 and about 10 or more braids have fallen out already😣......I called to talk to Ms. Yami on the phone about my braids falling out and now frizzy ends and she precedes to literally argue with me on the phone....REALLY!.....smh
