Went in this weekend to get a color and cut fir my wife only to be told that they dont do that service on weekend and that we need to make an appointment for the weekday. Normally this would not bother us but my wife has been though 4 brain surgerys this last year and was finally healed up to get her hair colored and a professional hair cut, someone other than me. We made the appointment online only to get told that they could not do it on Saturday or Sunday, but to make an appointment for next week.I found 3 salons able and willing to do it for Sunday. My wife was able to finally get the service she so wanted in the last 2 years just by someone else.Had I known earlier I could have gone to another salon that day. My mistakes in not calling and trusting a website. They should state what services they are not able to do on the weekend. That way I can book more appropriately.This was not her favorite salon but her backup one, now no longer a backup.

I love my hairstylist Amber. When I went for my last haircut I was very disappointed in the atmosphere there. The manager, Felix, had the Spanish music roaring in the corner. There were no seats available but 2 young girls were sitting in the only two chairs available. They were NOT customers but waiting on someone else getting a haircut. I am not young so I stood there while another hairstylist ran and got a chair for a young man who just walked in. Terrible management and atmosphere in that place.

This place is awesome. I came from Davenport just to have my hair colored and styled. I was a great professional service. I’m very happy with the outcome. I do recommend this place. My stylist was Felix Rodríguez... 😘

I was very nervous about getting a perm but made the apt. with Martha at 98n. smartstyle and she went above and beyond and I love it it turned out 9wonderfully thank u Ms. Martha I cant get the smile off my face.shes my new go to girl she rocks

If give zero stars if it would let me. I went in for a over all color and have never in my life been so disappointed..... Had to go back and have it fixed because the girl didnt even color my hairline. I purchased special shampoo that is meant for holding color, made sure I didnt wash my hair in hot water and my hair is now two toned because the color in the back of my hair is gone. I will never return and definitely have recommended for my family and friends to avoid this salon by all means! Shouldnt touch someones hair if you dont know what the hell your doing. $200 down the damn drain!

Let me just say that Felix is AMAZING and his staff. I wouldn’t change him for anything. He was so honest and pleasing with the changes he did in my hair, I absolutely loved it. Recommend 100% here are my different looks by him.

I have used Judy at this location two times and I am very pleased she does exactly what you ask her to do and she does very good work. Today I overheard a client asking for hair extensions and Felix told her he has not done extensions in a while, but that he would be happy to do extensions for her at 3 o’clock and he would do his very best. She really wanted to be done right then and said she was going to give a bad review online because he was not able to do her hair the moment she wanted it done. So just in case you read a bad review online about hair extensions, let me tell you I heard everything first hand and it was handled very professional thank you for taking time to read my review. I highly recommend services at this salon!

My wife and I notice they were open on Saturday. So she went today, badly needing a hair cut. She gets there and is told by a male employee that it is by appointment only. Kinda bummed she goes and does some shopping. Come back to make an appointment, and over hears a female tell the male to call the next person on the waiting list. WHICH IS IT, APPOINTMENT OR WAITING LIST..???? Be open and honest to your customers. She has been going there for as long as I can remember. What a shame. Can’t believe what I heard. It’s a Regis to top that. What a shame!

I stopped in for a color and trim while here in town. I explained to Felix how things have turned out in the past and he took everything I explained into his game plan. My color turned out absolutely stunning. One of the best Ive ever had, even from pricey salons. When it came time for the trim he recommended a new cut that would frame my face better. I would never have picked it out myself but was super excited with the end result. The recommended cut turned out fabulous. I LOVE it. All in all the salon is very clean. The hairdressers are super friendly and personable. I would recommend Felix to everyone. He really knows his stuff and knows it well!

Don’t go there for color nor extensions. A color correction that cost $100 didn’t fully cover the color and my husband had blue put in his hair lasted 3 days before it faded to a weird hue of blue. My extensions started falling out in less than 24 hours and wanted to charge $100 to fix it when I spent 15 hours over two days and $250 the first time to have them applied. Hair cuts are not bad but could be better

I had a great experience getting my haircut here. Typically this place stays busy and they have a long wait so it took me a few days to get in because I didnt feel like waiting the prior days. The ladies are very nice and my hair looks great.

Arrived at 10 am and we were put into the system as second and third clients. One of us was served pretty much immediately. I on the other hand waited. When the stylist was done with my husband he proceeded to take a gentleman (who he clearly knew) before the others waiting who were in the system before him. The stylist stopped in the waiting area saying he knew we were in the system before him but he was just going to take this gentleman first. Wth?

Theyre alright, they dont do a bad job but theyre not that much of an expert due to them cutting the top a bit too even with the sides. And I think Amber does an amazing job and some other woman. But the spanish male with the glasses gave me a damn attitude. I do not tolerate with that, if he does the same thing again if I go next time, fire him he shouldnt be treating the customers that why I only gave it a 3 star. Not to mention he seemed a bit too impatient. Thats why I only put three stars.

Alexa did my hair today and I couldnt be happier!Ive been struggling to grow out my previously fried hair (some lady in Georgia over processed my hair so bad that it melted like sludge and just fell off)I was so worried that either a.) My hair was going to look like tiger stripes, or b.) My hair would over process again and fall out.But, Alexa managed to give me the most beautifully blended, natural highlights AND make my hair look and feel healthier!You cant even tell that Ive had chemicals in my hair. It just looks naturally sun kissed.I just moved here to Lakeland and I know who I will be calling when I need a touch up! Thank you Alexa!

The worst experience Ive had . Walmart 98 North Lakeland, Florida. They did not make me the color I wanted, they did not make the cut that I wanted and it came out very expensive. The stylist does not seem to know what she was doing. I told her that I wanted to let my gray hair grow, that the color that matches me with my roots. He put a blonde on me, nothing to do with the roots. I tell him I want the Bob style cut and he makes me Dora the explorer, but, long at the sides. I was more than 3 hours. I was already too tired to argue with her, so I went home disappointed. While I was all those hours in that beauty, I realized that no one knows how to cut well. There are old women, mature women, men and children who want something simple. It is not recommended for those who want to have a nice appearance. I lost my money, what a pain!

It Is pretty busy all the time but besides that the hair stylists get to know you well and will know what you want everytime. And the best part is that it is cheap!

Actually 0 stars!! I got there , N.Side, at 5:20 , two hair stylist two customers in the chairs getting trims and would not take my husband for a trim. So they actually do not close at 6:00 . They close whenever they want.

April is the woman who worked on me, I showed her a picture of an ombre I wanted done and ended up with my natural color going straight into bleach blonde! Looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture! If I could give 0 stars I would! Learned my lesson and will be going to PROFESSIONALS from now on.

Its been almost a year that i havent got a hair cut over at smart style walmart. I had been going to regis hair salon since dec 2017 and they are truly profession at what they do a bit expensive, but it was worth every penny. They moved to another location, and i needed the usual hair style cut. So i went back to smart style UGH! I showed her (not naming anyone) the hair cut i wanted and i came out as if i had a wig. Have to wear my hat again. I rather shave off my hair then to ever go back there again.

After a horrible experience at another salon yesterday, I called Lakeland Smartstyle out of desperation around 7 pm and was able to get in at 715! Tiffany was able to fit me in even though they closed at 9 and she worked miracles on my hair. She took the time to fix someone elses mistake and walked me through what she was doing to fix it. I never felt like she was rushing to finish! Even though she was still working on it after they closed. I am extremely impressed with her skills and knowledge! She is definitely an asset to Smartstyles!!
