I love this gym. The staff is super friendly. I love that its open 24/7. I love the free weights. Its not jammed packed with machines like planet fitness. It is WAY MORE BETTER THAN PLANET FITNESS.

5 years later still on my credit. Didnt know what I was signing. The person working there told me I could cancel at any time, that it wasnt a big deal. Months later I tried calling to plead my case but there person that helped me was no longer working there. $1,300 on my credit report!! May have used the gym a few times.

Great gym with all the equipment you need. They have free weights and machines. The owners are amazing and always looking for ways to add value or improve the gym for the members. Only decent gym in the area that stays open 24hrs.

When I joined I tried a trainer. This was a bad experience. He would only work me for about 15 minutes and we were done. After about a month I cancelled and ended up owing them 600+ $ to cancel. It was worth it though. I want nothing to do with the trainers period.Like others I like to workout on my own. They have plenty of equipment for me and I seldom have to wait on it. I dont need to speak to the staff but if I did I really dont think these very young (trainers) people have enough experience to help me with much. Im OK on my own and will continue to workout there for awhile.My advise is workout on your own and DO NOT HIRE THE TRAINERS.

I have been a member for years. The staff is always friendly and the trainers helpful. Every gym has equipment out of order from time to time, but it is never out of commission for more than a day or so. The class I take is always on time, and the instructor is awesome. Either way, its a great fitness choice for me

Been a member here for over a year. I have enjoyed the ever evolving equipment that is maintained and improved on a consistent basis. The culture here is fairly reserved, but everyone works together to keep the gym clean and organized. Good place to get in, get your work done, and get on your way.

This gym is second to none. The staff is on point and the facility has everything you need. From functional training to personal training and strength training you cant go wrong here. The classes are awesome and the cardio equipment is the best. I highly recommend!!!

I really dig this place. I havent had any issues with management so far. Its the only serious gym in the area. They have pretty much anything you need for free weights, and lots of machines. My only complaint is the lack of power racks. Theres one power rack and one squat rack. Its pretty difficult to grab one during busier hours, so I usually go when its not busy. I really like that they have a deadlift platform too.

I love spending time here. I have become fitter within few months. the staff is always there to guide you.

This the best equipped gym I have ever been in. The trainers are not so good though. But I dont care about that because I train alone. I wish they had an area where I can take my T25 and work out with it there. I know, why not do it at home? Well, I like the gym environment and dont have to worry about sweating up my place or disturbing my neighbors. In order to do this they would have to setup a few DVD players and let you get after it. You can shower up and go home. I like this gym a lot. I wouldnt recommend the trainers though. I dah a bad experience with them. For one they are way over priced and if you quit them they have a collection agency go after you.

Sad disappointment to its self hyped up image – I went to Powerhouse and at first it was OK nothing special and as time went on the unfriendly atmosphere never changed. To my surprise it turns out it was the worst gym ever. I was treated very rudely by the billing team and that poor attitude is no different from top to bottom. They are unhelpful, unfriendly and I was very upset how I was treated. I wish I would have read the reviews from everyone that said dont go to Powerhouse. I found the classes to be poorly run with and not to be motivating. Instructors who filled in to support the classes were not well trained or able to get the classes to flow. I have since joined Family Fitness and find them to be polar opposite of this gym. Additionally, Powerhouse makes cancelation very difficulty and only accepts by way of certified mail and charges you an extra month. Feel like they gave me one last kick before I left with an extra months charge. Apparently 45 days before your member ship ends you need to cancel or they just auto enroll you into month to month charging your card.

Im shocked I tell you, SHOCKED at the 2.8 rating this fantastic gym has been given. I go lift every nearly every day, the gains are real, and I could never imagine leaving to go to a different gym. Thelocker rooms are wicked clean. The employees are always nice and friendly. The trainers know their stuff. The gym is packed with machines so you never have to wait because something else is alwaysopen. One of the best things about the gym, ITS IN A MALL! Forget your protein, theres a GNC in the mall, take a dumbbell and do some curls on your walk to the store. Forgot your headphones, well just do some walking lunges down to Ross and pick up a new pair. And my favorite, hit a new PR, go down and reward yourself with a cookie from Great American Cookies! Powerhouse is legit, its always clean, tons of weights, great trainers and employees and the gains are legit. I love PowerHouse!

First of all, I have admitedley was never a member at this gym. I came in for a 12 day no obligation trial period to see if i was going to like it and make a judgement after I had completed some training time there, and also doing some research on reviews. At my short time there, I can say the negative reviews about the trainers are accurate in my estimation. I did not use one because I train alone or I train with a partner. But I observed them enough to see make my opinion. In my first initial meeting with the owner to get my trial plan started I was pressured into signing a contract that day even before my first work out. Ok, I get it, its a business, they need to sell memberships to operate, but I attempted to at the very start and told him that I only was interested in the trial period because I judge a place first before I commit to any sort of contract. This didnt matter, still got the bully salesman routine which is a pet peeve of mine so it pissed me off. Not good. So my trial period is over and I have decided not to join. All of the equipment is in good working order and I have no complaints about the locker room. Didnt use the sauna, didnt use trainers as stated before, didnt really have any dealings with the staff at all. I go in to work out and train and then leave. But the contract details and crazy cancellation policy is enough to deter me from this gym. I am currently going to the Rec Center and have a membership there for free. I recommend them over Powerhouse simply because of the cancellation nonsense that Powerhouse has.

Today I called and some cameisha (idk how to spell it) at the power house in lake Jackson was a pure B! But she hung up on me twice!!! I didnt even get to finish my first sentence... and she hung up.. rude..

Hi,First of all I dont agree with the negative comments down below....!I have been going to this gym for almost 4 years now..And I am there from Monday-Friday, 10-12pm...The gym went tru many changes and it is was all for the better......The management crew is very hands on...!Customer Service is very Welcoming..(especially Kamisha)The owner always at the gym overseing the operations..The floor & equipment always clean..!If Any problems may occur;The management Nd the owner always deligent and on point when it comes to handling anything may coming their way..Childcare service @ powerhouse gym is awesome.They love and care for your child..!Prices are amazing..All i can tell you is that ,They are not freakin mediums, if you guys have any problems with Anything , or you may have any issue , just go head and address it to the management or the owner..If you dont address an issue how willThey know whats wrong.........?????????!!!For those of you ,Who really like to become a member,Pls,Dont Hesitate ..... At all...!!!!!!!!!!!!Also,Dont forget,Many people who competes nationwide here in the states Do get trained And workout here...!!Google page will not have enough place if I start writing their names..But. The daycare ladies look like they dont want to be there and they arent friendly at all.

Me like others have significant issues with this gym. The facility itself is ok. People just are not friendly or helpful in any way. The so called free training is set up so they can scam you for more of your money. The equipment is usually broken. The classes are ok but like someone else had issues with some of the subs at time. Ive been a member for a long time and havent been for longer then I care to admit. Went to cancel. Was told you had to come in and fill out a paper. Well I did. Guess what when you get there they give you a paper and say you have to mail it certified to their address????? WTH?? Spend more money? Pretty sure this is their way of thinking you wont do that so they can keep on stealing your money from you. Buyer Beware!! There are much better facilities in this area. There is a GREAT yoga studio. Some GREAT crossfit boxes that are month to month!! BUT PLEASE if you want to get healthy and NOT waste your money this is NOT the place to go!!!!

I have been going to this gym for the last 6 months, Both the stair climber machines have been broken and out of order for the last 3 weeks, the sauna is very dirty and looks like it never gets cleand, the cardio equipment also is very dirty, i also noticed that the staff was changing often, large turnover in employees, i was not planning on being at this gym very long so i just kept my mouth shut. When i signed up for my membership i told the sales manager Stephen i was only going to be in the area for a year or less, he said not to worry because it was only a $75.00 cancellation fee to get out of the contract, now i find out after i move i need to provide them with a utility bill and a rental agreement to my new address then at that point it would have to be approved by the manager and up to that persons decision if the gym would cancel my contract or not. Even through all this i was still keeping my mouth shut and was going to work it out some how. I was getting my body fat test done once a month, they handed me the body fat analyzer and i did it myself (which i was fine with that) or a trainer helped me, every month i was doing this the trainer helping me would put the analyzer on the athlete setting, he said if i was working out on a regular basis this would be the best setting to use because the normal setting would give me a whole different reading, today i walk in the gym and ask the person behind the counter if i can get my body fat test done, she had a personal trainer i had never seen in the gym before come to help me, He started playing with the analyzer as if maybe he had never used it before, then he selected normal on the setting and i asked him if he would please put the setting on athlete because thats how i have been doing it for the last 3-4 months, at that point he told me that athlete was going to read me at a higher percent, i told him i wanted to keep my readings consistent so i would like the athlete setting, then he told me well thats just how we do it here i again expressed to him that my numbers where not going to be consistent on the normal setting, then he looks me up and down and says well are you a athlete? a little shocked by his question i pause a moment then started telling him what i do for a living and i am very active, at this point he is thinking to himself if he should put me on the athlete setting or not, then he starts to argue with me more, i did the only logical thing i could think of and that was walk away because talking to this person was like talking to a wall. The person working behind the counter told me his name was Shawn and did not know his last name, i asked him if he could find out for me and he did the deer in the headlights look and shrugged his shoulders, i then asked for the owners email so i could write him and express my concerns on this matter, again i got the deer in the headlights look, he did not know.I would NOT recommend this gym to anyone! If you were to ask me to rate the gym i would give it one star!

This place is a joke from the owner to the employees. I would strongly recommend not joining this gym. This place is a Status Quo hang out.

Worst customer service.. I moved away and canceled my membership with the gym and my personal trainer here it is a year later they has some credit collections company calling saying that I wasnt canceled for the gym only... trying to collect 700 plus dollars in back dues. there in store people will not help you. there are other choices use family fitness around the corner cheaper and better equipment.

I cancelled back in August, they are claiming they lost my letter and are still trying to get me to pay. Avoid at all cost this place has scam written all over it.

Horrible management and childcare should be shut down.

This place is to full the people in charge just think of getting more and more people and ask the manager and he said to come later at night so they want to tell you went to go....
