Best GYM ever! Ive been here since almost two years and I love it, and my babies love it too. Sometimes they dont even want to get out of the kids club.I love this place because have everything that someone needs. Perfect and clean.

Owner is constantly rude and ALWAYS has something to complain about. I have rarely been kindly greeted. She does not make the environment friendly or welcomed, more patrolling than anything & constant complaints.

We absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly and they go above and beyond for the members. Its a very important part if my life and i appreciate their support. The equipment and the gym are well maintained and clean. It’s the best all-around gym I’ve been to in my 55 years of being a gym ‘rat’! My wife and i both love the classes, especially biking and the instructors are top-notch!

I moved to the area in 2016 and have had a membership there since then. It’s worth every penny! The staff is friendly and helpful, the facility is super clean. Everything you could possibly need to make your fitness journey successful is there, classes, child care (up to 2 hours of me time! Yes please!), various weights, equipment, sauna the women’s studio! It’s a very well rounded fitness center. I stopped going in February last year because of the pandemic and because I became pregnant and my pregnancy is high risk, but I have kept my membership along with my husband and he still goes, I am ready to head back once I’ve recovered. My 3 year old also loved the kids club, it was his time to burn off some energy and make friends. The ladies always keep it clean for our kiddos safety and they are super sweet and truly care about our babies. We miss them, and are looking forward to going back soon.

Upon returning from the Military(USMC)- I was searching for a gym/fitness center that was professional, friendly, caring, clean, exceptional in many ways, and transparent. Family Fitness is kept clean and above and beyond with professional as well as making you feel as part of the team/ family not just any customer or client. The value for me is the transparency, from personal lifestyle, goals and aspirations of myself as well as what I have going on in my life- communication is where they excel. The understanding, and how Family Fitness operates in working with you; for you to get the most and make the best of any situation into the best deal. The specials they offer are incredible. The classes, and programs they have are great and included in the membership!! Music is appropriate, motivational, and they even offer a Female and Fit section for Women which is great for various reasons. 5⭐s Highly recommend.

I love family fitness. I have been going for about 2 years now. I love that they have a kids club for my young children to go to. Child care is the biggest hurdle sometimes for working out. The woman’s only area is great. When I first started going that’s the area I used exclusively until I felt more comfortable. It’s nice having a pool and the kids take swim lessons there every year. Overall, it’s a great place and I would highly recommend it!

Seriously my fav gym everIve lived all over this country, every corner and in between, and this gym is 100% my favorite. I love the layout, the daycare, and the equipment. This has made Texas feel like home, now that I can rebuild my body the right way.

My kids have been going to the kids club since they were 8 weeks old! They absolutely LOVE going! The staff is so sweet and professional. They love my kids as their own. I always have to drag them out because they have so much fun and never want to leave! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Family Fitness Kids club if you have little ones! They ALWAYS look forward to going!

Family Fitness has been one of my favorite places for over 13 years now! I love the family feeling you get when your there. The group fitness classes are by far the best in the area. They deliver quality programs year in and year out. All 4 of my kids have gone through the kids club and have loved it. This place has become my happy place. Can’t live without it!!

I have been attending Family Fitness for the last 20 years (on and off), gym is always clean and a super friendly atmosphere. But most of all the childcare is wonderful, the staff is caring and patient and my children love going to the gym to see the workers, and play with their friends! If you are looking for a friendly, home town gym then this is your place! All the amenities are great as well, pool, hot tub, sauna, clean restrooms/showers, and many classes to choose from!!

My husband and I have been going to Family Fitness for about 4.5 years, we have also brought our daughter since she was about 3 months old. Julie, Ashley and Alysia & the rest of the team are all very personable and our daughter loves them and the daycare.We recently enjoyed the pool this summer, big hit for my daughter.The facility is always clean, bathrooms are always wiped down, we’ve never had any issues. Appreciate that they have stayed open during the chaos of everything. It Would be great to see a few more newer equipment options added to the area.Highly recommend FF! The

I’ve been going to family fitness for 6 years now. I left and tried another gym, but very quickly came back to family fitness. This gym feels like home, they have great staff and a great atmosphere. They have awesome change rooms and the pool is awesome. If there is one thing I could say may need to be addressed is FF really needs to change their hours to stay open later on the weekends, and new gym equipment for guests to use, the equipment they have now is great but a little out dated. Other than those two things I love it there and feel like it is the best gym in the county.

Family fitness is a wonderful fitness facility! My favorite things about the gym are the group exercise classes: Body Pump, Body Combat, and Yoga! And we LOVE the childcare and the team of teachers and caregivers!

I have been a part of Family Fitness since early 2013. From the beginning, it has been a very welcoming place. The staff is friendly and attentive and will greet you by name.They have all the equipment you need to accomplish any fitness goals you have. Multiple squat racks, deadlift platforms, smith machines, stairmasters, row machines, the list goes on!There is no other place like Family Fitness in the area.

Love the cleanliness and great machines

I recently became a member about 2 months ago. I like atmosphere and my daughter loves the daycare. She always tells me she loves her teachers Aaliyah and Jessica who take care of her. They are very sweet and attentive to her. I was reluctant to have her join a daycare, but they seem to do well with her and she loves it.

Best gym in town. Great staff, from the people working the desk to the personal trainers. Extensive class schedule to suit anybodys schedule. They recently upgraded to all new equipment which makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

Pilates reformer lessons with Kay has been the best gift I’ve given myself. She has motivated me to live a healthier lifestyle, built my confidence on the reformer, and helped me gain strength that I haven’t felt since I was 18! The reformer has strengthen my core and I haven’t felt back pain since I started. Between two reformer lessons weekly, a little TRX and walking on off days, and easy changes to my diet I have lost 20 lbs in 4 months. But the best part has been the fun and challenging sessions Kay gives. I can’t believe I haven’t been training on the reformer my whole adult life. Thanks Kay!

A great work out - friendly staff, very helpful when signing up

I joined and wanted to get personal training. Emailed and called several trainers but no one ever calls back. Left messages for the membership desk to call me to find out where are the Florida locations as I am in Florida now. Again now follow up to call me back. The fees are also higher than quoted based on my bill.I do like the fact they have 24 hr availability, for the price I would expect cleaner jacuzzi and lockers.

Off the bat the gym atmosphere here is great. It seems like the patrons and members at this facility actually come here to work out and not show off and make a bunch of unnecessary noise and displays of juice head poses. The equipment could use better maintenance but they have everything you need. From classes to free weights this place is active and provides great service.

I love working out here. My family and I have been members for over six years. The staff is very friendly and helpful whenever we need anything. The hours of operation are perfect for my entire familys schedule. Couldnt ask for a better fitness facility.

Dont know why the rating is so low on this place... This place rocks!! Been coming here for years.. Friendly staff, clean and exceptional equipment, knowledgeable trainers, just an all around great place. Id choose Family Fitness anyday. My only complaint is that they enforced the rack your weights when you are finished rule. Some people leave them out for others to go search for them or trip over them.

The only reason I give this gym 2 stars is because of the space and quality of the equipment is great, I had an issue today I walked in to hand the gentleman at the desk my guest pass and the owner stopped me and very rudely demanded that I never walked past the front desk without checking in, i understand that she may have thought I was sneaking by but still made me feel very uncomfortable. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, price is outrageous anyways.

I have been a member here for several years because it is very close to my house and only because it WAS hours. I let my membership lapse and when I renewed no one told me the hours had changed. I am tired of paying $50 a month for just me and NOT having 24hr access. There are now to many cheap and better options now.

I was really looking forward to joining here. Yesterday night i went and asked for information to get a membership and they told me that the membership price was from $22-$50 depending on your occupation. So since my husband works at a refinery our price was $50-$60 a month! I think this is really unfair and ridiculous just because they want to charge more since they know that refinery workers make good money. I walked out of there and never going back. I’ve been to plenty of gyms and they have always charged a fair price to EVERYONE not caring about their occupation.

Love this place! Avoid it during the busiest hours to be able to have access to the free weights and machines. Never took a class, but impressed with the variety and frequency of what they offered. My only suggestion would be for them to add more wipe down stations. I always brought my own towel, but some people dont. Kinda gross to see someones sweat marks on a bench. With more wipe down stations there would be no excuse to not clean your area when youre done.

I love this gym. They have everything. Instructional classes, bike classes, yoga classes, dance classes. They have a daycare for your kids. They have a sauna, lockerroom, bathrooms, pool showers. I love it, and the prices arent that bad, especially for all this!

We canceled our membership 30 days before and turned in a cancelation paper. I check my bank statement and got charged for the month i canceled. well turns out the lady we gave the paper to (tall with braids) misplaced it and our membership was never canceled. We talked to the manager and she said she could do nothing about it, told her to check the cameras where we filled out the paper she said cameras only went back 3 days, and the lady who took out paper didnt remember us! We did everything by the book and still got charged for a month I didnt use! Dont go here they dont fix problems!

They should probably remove the Family from their name and replace it with Money.Money is obviously the only thing they care about. When you sign up, they skim through the contract with you, without really giving you an opportunity to go over it by yourself. They also forget to mention that your membership will continue after your contract is up, unless you come in and cancel it.My problems with the company go beyond the hidden agreements in the contract. I came in to cancel, because I was moving out of the area for work, and an employee told me that my contract was going to be up in a month and the membership would just end in August when it was supposed to, and I wouldnt have to turn in a cancellation form. Well, 4 months and $160 later, I still havent been able to get out of my membership. Theyve made it very difficult to get hold of them to show them that I moved out of the area. They asked me to fax it to them, but their fax machine conveniently wasnt working. It has taken me 3 weeks to get a hold of a manager, just for her to tell me the same thing their employees have been telling me. Worst thing about it is, I havent even been there to work out since March.You would think that a business with Family in their name would work with there clients to make them happy and meet their needs. I will not be referring any friends to work out there. You should definitely explore your other options(i.e. Powerhouse, or the Rec Center) before signing up with Family Fitness.

This gym does well with the space they have. I like the womens area. Just enough equipment for a good workout. Looking forward to hitting a spin class.

I am so upset with FF. I was a member for over 21 years, and recently relocated to Clearlake. I contacted FF first week in April and they told me , I had to disenroll in person and fill out a form. Today , I did exactly as they said, showed up in person, filled out the form and then told that because I didnt give them a 30 day notice, I would be charged 53.00 and it would be deducted from my account. I then spoke to Elizabeth and she said that is policy. SMH! Shame on you for treating your over 20 year customer who faithfully paid every month in this manner! Never again will I recommend this place!

I like coming here, I enjoy the all womens room.Wish there was more mat space, but other than that no complaints! :)For the ones complaining about prices being different if you work somewhere specific it is because Family fitness sometimes works out deals with companies and the companies pick up some of the cost for your membership. Like Zachry pays for half of mine.All companies pick up different amounts, sorry but thats not Family Fitness problem.

Don’t go here if you have children. The daycare causes nothing but stress. There are WAY too many kids in there and now they are restricting the video games- the one thing that my kids looked forward to coming for. BYE! I’m so done with this place!!

Its a wonderful gym. The people that work there are very nice and tell you to have a great workout and the staff at the daycare is AMAZING💖. My kids love going there (boy 5, girl 2) they always say that they are really nice💖. The section for the women is great, small but has alot of things you can do and outside where everyone is at is great too ALOT of machines. Havent went to the pool but I see people using it. They have ice which is pretty cool went to several gyms and they didnt have that. They also have a sauna is nice too. Now the ONLY thing I can say that I DO NOT like is the way they dont clean there machines. Its disgusting. Yes I wipe down my machine before and after I use it. Where your hands go. BUT the overall machines are dirty. You can tell that they dont clean them. Yes its open 24hrs most days. But Ive went to other gyms where I could be working out and the staff is hard at work making sure everything is clean and weights are put back. Sometimes they did it when there was very little people. On the machines you can tell when people sweat and where they get dusty because its been so long since theyve cleaned them. I just hope they start cleaning them. Then it would be the perfect gym.

Great Up to date equipment with a Separate area for Women setup in such a way that a Woman will not have to walk around in front of a Man in workout gear. Downside is, theyre no longer 24°

Its a Gym without much support staff from what I can see.- I tried 4 ellipticals and 2 gliders (TVs only worked on 1x elliptical and 1 glider).- Pins missing in 3 machines I used and had to scavenge a nearby pin. (Theres a Lowes right in town, go by some for petes sake)- Plates were scattered all over the place vs realigned by staff at night for next day like a good gym will do- many people just left plates on the free weights or machines using them. No staff police the area, they were too busy talking with regulars- whole section of lights were off in the main section of the building (really? its 0500 and dark out and you have min lights on)- a few friendly people lifting and a few that would hog 4 machines / benches and cycle between them (with open time for others to use them) and get huffy if you wanted to work in)--- get over it, its everyones gym so when not using the equipment let others work in especially when so many other pieces were broke or missing items.-- If you want to get the whole variety of Abs worked, bring your own workout as the machines here are not what is recommended.- Could not find any stretch bands (used for a variety of exercises).good news, having been stationed in a combat zone with min equipment, I was able to piece together my workout just like in the past.not the best solution.It could really be a nice place if someone owned / managed it that cared.good thing it was just a visit to see what they had before joining a gym as a newbie in Lake Jackson.

DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!!! Someone is gonna end up with staph infection if not already. Im soooo happy I didnt signup for a membership!! Poor customer service, very dated equipment, most TVs are old of order and poor Wi-Fi...If you have a membership to this place I feel for you! You guys need to demand new clean equipment. This place WAS nice 10 years ago since then its gone down hill fast!!!..Come on Family Fitness invest in your business. I see the place as a hotel that has a grand opening and years later never updates anything never washes the sheets or cleans what so ever to 10 years later. Its nasty and the customer service matches!! Go down the road 2 to 3 miles to Powerhouse youll see a world of difference!!
