Went here to get 5 stitches on my finger. Waited in a room for 40 minutes in pain with a sock wrapped around my hand when a nurse finally came in and stitched me. After insurance I still owed $1000 in bills from the stiches, so I set up an account to pay it off. A couple of months later they sent me ANOTHER bill for $1000 and when I called they said it was a separate bill for the physician (I never saw a doctor, only saw one nurse)?!? Does this make sense????? Not to mention the lady completely messed up my stitches - which was told to be by the doctor that took them out considering I was in so much pain when it was happening.

They sent me with a script for Zofran a nausea medicine with the dosage being 88ml.Thank God I asked questions to the pharmacy because the dosage they had me giving him is 44x the amount that is recommended for his age and weight. My child could be dead right now because of this hospital. Not to mention he puked all over me and hi.self while there and we sat for over 2 hours soaking wet with nothing offered

Dont go here, I took my son here last night and were waiting for awhile. But this review is not just about my family. There was a lady here that had fallen an 1hr ago and she had a gash in her arm and she had a towel on her arm and it was soaked with blood. She was waiting in the er waiting room for over 45 min close to an hour, I asked the receptionist how long the wait is and they couldnt give me an answer, so I called another er and ended up not only taking my son to a different and better er, but I told the lady that had the gash on her arm and she left right along with me to get better care!!!!Do not under any circumstances bring your family here they had also almost let my sister die!!!

I really like the doctors and nurses. Administration not so much. I have been billed repeatedly when inappropriate and had to cite the law that states that they cannot bill you in Indiana for a non-covered cost unless they have your signature on it in advance. I do not approve of signing something I have not seen. And they try to get money prior to the procedure before it has been billed to insurance and also try to get money for doctor visits prior to the insurance having evaluated. Money grubbing administration that breaks rules. The doctors and nurses that I have seen have been terrific.

Was told by nurse to wait in the waiting room for Doctor to get stitches because they need the room. Even though I was bleeding everywhere. X-ray people and nurse arguing in front of patients. They really dont care just get them in and out. The waiting room full of sick people. Go to another Emergency room if you have an Emergency they will just send you back into the waiting room. After going to the waiting room I just stood there holding my hand that is cut open waiting on stiches and was told You cant stand there. So I went outside to wait. Worst experience ever.

Absolutely total miscommunication, can’t reach a person, after hours of waiting, being switched from person to person, nurses hang up on you, administration never responded, never return your phone calls or messages. You ll get disconnected in the middle of talk and nobody will call you back. They should have a tape recording, we don’t care about you, we will never call you back. Strongly don’t recommend. How Franciscan network stays in business or better why? And by the way I’m an MD, how other people are treated?

I would be careful going to any Franciscan health facility. I originally reviewed the emPATH unit based on a horrible experience, but within 3 days of my review, Franciscan marked the facility as permanently closed on reviews, which makes me believe the facility doesnt want to admit the horrendous care that was given. I also wrote a review in regards to the care given at the ER as well as contact I had with a behavioral health provider through Franciscan. If you have any Mental Health history I would avoid Franciscan at all cost as they will assume your problem is part of your mental health and not address you true issues. In September 2020 I was taken to the emergency room by my husband because of lack of sleep (that I acknowledged), confusion (from lack of sleep) and leg pain. The ER doctor only addressed the lack of sleep and immediately assumed I was Bipolar and having a manic episode (never been diagnosed as such or had a manic episode). I had blood work only because the ER doctor wanted me sent to the emPATH unit, which had several flags and was ignored. Throughout my time in the ER and EmPath unit I consistently stated I was not suicidal, homicidal, but dealing with a significant amount of leg pain. When my mental health charts arrived showing my depression and anxiety diagnosis as well as my consistent treatment with psychiatrist and therapist, it was all ignored. The ER doctor as well as Dr Cobbs must believe they know a persons mental health better than doctors who actually see a patient regularly for 10+ years. I always think within 10 minutes (ER doctor) and 45 minutes (Dr Cobb) that is definitely a reasonable amount of time to change a persons diagnosis and ignore any other pain they may actually be having. To be transferred from the ER to the emPATH unit it is said you must be medically cleared. So within 10minutes I was medically cleared, even though I had high blood pressure, significant leg pain, and my blood work had concerns. Once I was in the EmPATH unit the staff continued to ignore my pain (aside from giving ibuprofen)...it was documented that I struggled walking and was crying from pain. It also was documented that I kept requesting to not be in any pain, but that was ignored. I was placed on a 72 hour hold from hell, even though I was oriented to time and place, not suicidal or homicidal. When I was finally released from the facility on hell, I went to IU And and was properly treated. I was diagnosed with a large mass from cancer that was causing my significant leg pain. It is sad I have developed severe PTSD from a facility that should be helpful.

My father is currently in the hospital for COVID while going through a lot of other health issues at the moment & he doesnt have a cellphone so our family will call him one to two times a day to check up. So today one of the nurses who answered the phone (Betty Graham) had the audacity to get aggravated when I asked to speak to my father & said the line was busy which come to find out later on it wasnt & not simply that but afterwards I called twice at different times and got hung up on. Its bad enough we cant be with our loved ones at the moment, theres no need for nurses to make things harder for us than it already is.

We had a remarkable experience with our initial nurse Lacy during the decline of a loved one, after an extensive consultation we transferred our loved one to a palliative care unit, where perhaps the most incomprehensible series of horrors and pains inflicted upon a distraught family has ever been inflicted. Conflicting information, dismissive and insulting conversation, and what would seem to be an utter desire to shuffle a dying man to the curb ensued. If you could conceivably do one favor for your loved one avoid this facility at all costs. Beyond the shining star of the nurse Lacy this is an abhorrent facade of a facility that in no way could conceivably represent Catholic Values. We have left with greater pain inflicted by this facility than any loss or grief could incur.

Dr. Marino and the wonderful team of nurses and Respiratory worked diligently to turn him around so he wouldnt have to be intubated. Thank you so much! You are greatly appreciated! Was in an emergent situation so tried to look past the reviews. Thought its about attitudes not treatment which is what I care about. As a medical professional I know people are tired and work late shifts but respect and professionalism are a different story. Coming in with an infected parotid gland to the ER at 2 am and having to beg for the correct treatment and medication and getting condescending responses and disrespectful attitudes is just absurd. Having the staff tell me they dont care if I have to drive 15 minutes to a to get a prescription filled now at 4 am while I am clearly in excruciating pain when they have it accessible is further dangering my health and is borderline malpractice. I am new to the area so didnt know where else to go but if you know better I would recommend to stay away.

I had open heart surgery the end of September and was asked to go to the Franciscan Heart Rehab Center. While I was off of work, everything was fine; however, when I went back to work, I could not get there until 4:10 PM and they close at 5. The staff definitely does not want to stay 1 minute past 5. I often had my rehab cut short because it was 4:55 and they wanted outta there. Basically, all I was able to do was walk on a treadmill, which I can do at home. There was one or two of the personnel who definitely did not really like working with people who sweat as comments were made to me that I was basically gross because I sweat when I worked out. Probably should not be working with people actually working out to get better! Needless to say, I only went to 16 of my 30 appointments as I did not feel like they really wanted to help get me better...well at least not if they had to stay a few minutes over.

They refused to remove it due to religious reasons and then kept me in the ER for 6 hours. Cost me over 4000 dollars. Im a college student so bills like this are impossible for me to pay. I did the financial help paperwork and they took off a measly 600 dollars stating they think I can pay for this bill with the amount of financial aid I get for school. Took my 10 month old into the ER to get checked out and they came and looked at her. They checked her ears and temperature the normal things they do when you go into a hospital. We then spent about 2 hours there as they did blood work and had an X-ray done. They then came back and told us it was an ear infection and prescribed her amoxicillin which is a antibiotic and sent us home. Having a feeling that something else was wrong with her we then called her pediatrician and she said that there was no ear infection but they were a little red. She then said to go to IU Hospital. Once getting to IU they got the paperwork from Saint Elizabeth and it said that she had pneumonia. Why werent we told about the pneumonia? Thats a much bigger deal than just a minor ear infection as they had told us. A little over 12 hours later shes emitted into IU health with a antibiotic drip, Oxygen, and more blood work to do all because a incompetent doctor didnt tell us the actually diagnosis of a 10 month old baby. Wouldnt go back if my life or any of my familys lives depended on it.
