I am a Chinese student and I was referred by another Chinese student. Lakewood Family Dental is really a wonderful place. I removed all of my wisdom teeth (four) on Oct 13 and there was almost no pain during the process. During the recovery period, I had no pain, no swelling. If I am picky, eating too much pills to avoid pain may lead to a little bit uncomfortable issues in our stomach.

Dr. Yang did an amazing job at answering my questions and informing me about my teeth. He was very thorough the entire visit. Ive been going here for years but must say this was my best experience yet.

I was never afraid of going to the dentist until I had my cavities filled at Lakewood. The doctor did not numb me enough for a cavity filling, so when she started drilling, she struck a nerve in my tooth and my body jolted from the pain. The doctor scolded me for jolting (I couldnt help it, the pain was sharp and sudden). They did give me a couple more numbing shots after that to ensure I was actually numbed before proceeding again. Then, I do not feel like they did a proper job filling my cavities (they were probably in a hurry after having to numb me extra), and two of my top teeth felt fused together for at least a year after this appointment. I will say the front office staff are generally super friendly and helpful, but I will not be getting any more drilling-related services from Lakewood again.

Dr. Shilpa was absolutely amazing!! And Hot as well. Savannah is 4 and had a great time as it being her 1st. Learned a lot of new things to do with her. They are amazing. I highly recommend them!!!

I don’t even know where to start, this place was absolutely ridiculous. For starters im 17 and so I had a parent with me, they told me I needed a root canal but then went and told my parent I just needed a few fillings, telling us both completely different things! On top of that when they did my cleaning they soaked my shirt and my hair, then covered my mouth and face in fluoride. Went as fast as they could, then they gave us a total of what everything was going to cost for they next few appointments and tried to say it was going to be about $5,000 for a few fillings, the bill didn’t have a root canal on it so it would of had to have been just the fillings. I even read some other reviews, that are sloppy, unwelcoming, judging, and they overcharge.I refuse to go back because I felt judge from the second I walked into the door till the second I left. I wouldn’t recommend this dentist to anyone, definitely is the worst dentist office in the area!!

If i could put a zero star review i would. yes these people are friendly but they are clueless and VERY unprofessional. The fillings they had done on me fell out within a couple of hours and on top of that they filed down a tooth that DID NOT NEED TO BE FILED. Ive never experienced so much pain after a dental job and when i mentioned it to them they just said they werent sure if they hit a nerve or not. WORST PLACE IN LAFAYETTE for dental work.

Omg??? What in the actual alternative universe is this place!!! Im denied a basic cleaning and two fills because Dr Useless suggest I need a specialist. All because they wanted to make as much money as possible off me today for unnecessary dental work.I had a bad vibe walking in and I should of just ran at that point! Dirty and staff do not practice basic universal precautions at all. You have to ask them to remove their gloves often because they will not after touching multiple surfaces and equipment.

First time going and I can definately say I will be going nowhere else. The was so nice and was so caring and the staff acted fast on getting rid of the pain I was having. They also fixed one of my biggest insecurities when it came to my front teeth being messed up. I am so glad I went to them.

I absolutely love Lakewood Family Dental. They took their time with me & explained everything to me and most of all made sure everything was done the way I wanted . Very affordable great staff excellent dentists.

I am terrified of the dentist Dr Rajesh put my mind at ease and made sure I was completely comfortable during the process I am having all my top teeth removed and getting dentures he talked me through the process and we started with just 2 teeth to get me eased into the process he assured me we could go as fast or slow as I was comfortable with I would recommend Lakewood family dental to anyone who has the real fear of the dentist that I do thanks to Dr Rajesh and the staff I have the confidence that when we are done I will have my smile back

Took her time, gave me an estimate of what needed done, gave me options of care, they got me scheduled within a day of me calling, and I was a new patient ! Most places told me Jan... ugh. I was able to get a quote for future care . In and out in an hour!

I called all over Lafayette to get into a dentist today. My cap had came off after 30 years. They fit me in cause I was freaking out. Doctor Shilpa explained everything and put the cap back on. I am going to start going to her. My own dentist after 10 years couldnt fit me in. And they are so much nicer here. Thank you for getting me in on short notice.

They were not accommodating to my needs. Instead of simply explaining why they couldn’t help me, they instead condoned me for not understanding. Very unprofessional. Especially someone who is from out of state there should be more genuine/compassion from these workers. Maybe a class on therapeutic communication should be a requirement before working here.

My daughter had an appointment on 1/25/21. She was a tough cookie and an even tougher one to handle. Shes 6. And she endured almost 3 hours at the dentist. Every single staff member that night was extremely PATIENT and CARING and absolutely remarkable. If I could give them 10 stars I would. They did everything imaginable to make sure she was comfortable and an in no pain. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience tonight. Thank you so much staff.

I never had anxiety with a dentist before but this place I will never go back!

Very unprofessional and disorganized. The Kokomo office failed to put my appointment in the system so when I arrived to my appointment I was told I could wait several hours or reschedule. Instead, I made an appointment in Lafayette 2 weeks ago. Spoke to both clinics and asked that my record be moved. Showed up today, and 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time the dentist informs me they never bothered to move my file so I would have to wait until the other clinic sent it. The dentist is rude and disrespectful and they have no problem wasting your time because they are so disorganized. Definitely do not recommend.

Dr karthika and her assistant made going to the dentist as enjoyable as possible. Appointments are easy and I have never spent much time in their waiting room. I have put off going to the dentist. I need quite a bit of work done and plan to have it all done there. Reasonable prices and they work with my insurance. They are all just nice people.

Rescheduled my appointment for wisdom teeth extraction three times and then cancelled it without my permission, then rescheduled another appointment without my permission. Wouldnt have known it was cancelled or rescheduled unless I called each week for 3 weeks before each appointment.

The dentist was not very friendly when I went in for a cleaning and also did not do a thorough job.

Excellent dental care, very understanding and flexible, I’m always able to get an appointment in a timely fashion. I had my smile fixed, and now I feel like a million bucks. Definitely recommend Lakewood family dental for all your dental needs.

After not going to the dentist in over 10 years I was extremely nervous and anxious about all the work I was going to need to get done but the staff at Lakewood Family Dental were very helpful and considerate of my dental anxiety. This place is ridiculous! I made an appointment at 3pm and showed up for my appointment and they forgot to schedule my appointment. Then asked if I could come back at 5. Put me on hold for 15 minutes and then said they couldnt do the appointment at 5 either. I would then have to wait until Thursday. This place is a joke!!!! Glad I dont have a toothache or anything!!!

They dont have hygienist on staff so the dentist had to do cleaning. It was very superficial and fast so she can move on. They filled claims for that cleaning that should have taken a couple hours according to insurance and it was an hour in the building, including, the wait, injections, waiting for them to take effect, exam, & cleaning which he said was the most superficial brisk cleaning hes ever had, approx 15 mins. It nearly maxed out insurance! It wasnt$300. For the cleaning it was$300. For each side upper and lower, each quarter of his mouth! for $1200. A man with thick accent tells you what your charges will be and you agree only to find you didnt understand him. I filled a dispute with insurance and they shared the bill a bit, but that wont recover or dental benefits for this year!

Lakewood dentistry has giving me two fillings to so far by Dr. Shilpa, she does an excellent job with outstanding professionalization and assures a comfortable customer experience assuring the patient is fully sedated and relaxed before working on your teeth and always makes sure the client in is happy and comfortable with the outcome. The manager Naresh is a breeze to work with he is very respectful and makes a big effort to assure the customer is satisfied with the service provided. I would highly recommend this dentistry.

Good first checkup a few weeks ago. Quick, and easy filings today. Very personable staff, and care about you as a patient and not just another body to be seen.

Everyone here is very nice and caring.The office is very clean and organized. I liked that they opened the instruments in front of you to ensure that they are clean and sterilized. The hygienist is very sweet and takes her time with patients. The treatment plan that was given was explained very well and understood everything that needed to be done. They care more about their patients rather than money. They do same day treatment most of the time which is awesome! Very professional. I recommend everyone to come here.

Great place very friendly

Very dirty. The bathroom had 2 over filled trash cans. Blood on the toilet. Green and Blue gunk all over the sink. Toilet paper was out but instead of putting another one on they just left it on the counter. Ripped toilet paper all over the floor. My friend and I came here as a first time experience. The people are not very nice and they have slow service. We are the only people in here and we have been in here for well over an hour and all my friend is getting is a cleaning. The couch they have has some type of white powder stain stuck to it. The trash can in the waiting area doesnt even have a bag in it. If I could give 0 stars I would. Usually I understand that you cant keep things 100% clean. But since they are not even close to busy and covid-19 they need to take better care of this place. 0-10 would not recommend to any family or friends.

Finally, a great dentist practice that actually cares about you (no judgement). Their work is excellent! If you have any oral issues, this is the place for you. For the bad reviews ignore those ppl. If you show up anywhere with a bad attitude you can always find something wrong. They only have one dentist there a day, so give that one person a break for the wait times.

I scheduled an emergency extraction for my husband; we came in same day for an 11am appointment to wait for 2 hours to be seen. Then they only would offer him painkillers & to reschedule for 1 week.Horrible service & bedside manner of all staff.I highly do not recommend.

Such a great place! Dr. Karthika is so friendly, attentive and understanding. My 1 year old can be a handful when getting his teeth cleaned, but Karthika was patient and great with him. Great doctor, highly recommended!Also I really like how they ensure to schedule families together. My 13 year old also got her teeth cleaned and her brother got to watch her (which somewhat calmed him down).

This place has wonderful patient care and an understanding staff. If you want your dental experience to feel more like home..COME HERE! The staff is so understanding and caring for their patients! I will refer all my family and friends and will be back myself. A+!!!!!!!!!!!

Got teeth pulled. The place and the employees are amazing. Best experienced I ever had at a dentist. 5 plus stars. All very kind understanding very professional. Nice and worked with me I highly recommend them and be going back on the 4th of june for my cavities next

Dont know what the price is now days for cleanings. But I had a deep cleaning done. I was there a smidge longer than a hour. Paid my 191$ in copays. Then get bill from insurance and it was 1200$. For a deep cleaning. Thats almost 1400$ in a hour. I would say total time working on my teeth 30 min. And thats pushing it. 15 min for tarter removal. 10 min for numbing shots. And 5 min polishing. And smearing stuff on your teeth isnt polishing. Id hate to see how much any other dental work will cost if the cleanings cost this much. 23$ a min when you break it down and double that for just the amount of time actually working on my teeth.

I was a new patient that hadn’t had a dental cleaning in a long time. The Dr, assistant, and reception were extremely accommodating and timely. The Dr Explained everything before she did it and it helped me feel less anxious! Definitely coming back again! Thanks Lakewood Family Dental!

This was my first time to this office. I was not aware that I would need a root canal. I explained I could not have it done today because I could not afford it. The staff understood and set me on a payment plan. And I had the root canal. Saving my tooth from further damage. It went so smooth. Loved Dental Care of Lakewood Family Dental. Staff were so friendly. Had to wait a little bit than expected but no complaints, it is just because their schedule is always full and the dentist and the staff try their best to accomodate as many patients as they could to relieve them from pain or discomfort. Cleaning appointment went well and the information of prices before add ons if I choose to do so went well as well! Staff was all friendly as well! Definitely will be back for my future cleaning appointments!

I lost a large filling on a Thursday night. Since I was leaving the country the following Monday, I needed to find a dentist to do an emergency replacement. It seems most dentists don’t work on Fridays! Lakewood quickly made an appointment for me on Friday. The staff was very friendly and professional. They took the time to carefully review my options and explain the procedure to me. The filling was replaced and I was able to make my trip! Thank you! The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is that my appointment took much longer than expected. But then again, they did fit me in.

Extremely fast and efficient, while getting the job done.I work second shift and had little time to work with. This was my first visit with them and understood I had work soon.The dentist was on top everything. I had my teeth cleaned. Had a few fillings to be done...and also a chipped tooth to be fixed. It got done in a little less than two hours. This place is very efficient. And I will be making my way back there on my next visit.

I had the best cleaning ever done here by a wonderful lady by the name of heather she took her time cleaning my teeth and kept great conversation and I just loved the whole visit thank you so much I greatly appreciated it my mouth feels so much better and cleaner also my gums were swollen too and bottom and she got me right together they aren’t swollen anymore!

Staff was friendly and helpful. When the DR. Came in was really sweet and gentle listened to my wants and then gave her opinion. Only thing I would change is i wish the TV in the patient room would change from what it was on lol.

This place is amazing. Since changing jobs and having to purchase my own dental insurance, Ive been put through the ringer finding a dentist who will work with my coverage. The staff here is very friendly and upfront about all costs for treatment, and will work with you on a payment arrangement. My kids loved the staff as well, they work very well with young children and make them feel comfortable. I will definitely continue to bring my family here for dental care. Thank you guys!

I give this review 2 stars, only because as a new patient, it was the only place I could get in within reasonable time. Now I know why. My first experience was terrible. The dental hygienist had no idea how to work the cleaning machine. Between poking me several times and drowning me in water, she ended up just “brushing” my teeth which I did not need a hygienist for.... when my x-rays were taken, the dentist did not ask any questions about the several abnormalities that were present.. At the end of all, I was forced to make an appointment for 6 months later.Well, here I am 6 months later giving it another chance. I had a 4:30pm appointment which I made on their website (very neat feature!). When I walked in they said that there was at least a 45 min wait because I made the appointment online.... the front desk person told me If I didn’t like it, I can reschedule. this is unacceptable! I simple phone call would have fixed this problem. This is the last time Ive ever come here and will be sure to relate this poor service to other new patients.

Got a tooth extraction done here and honestly one of the best experiences of my life. Amazing crew, super supportive and patient with me through every step. Called crying cause of the pain, they were willing to stay over and bookedMe an appointment for the following day! Although I’m sure I’ll be in some discomfort for the next few days, I will be coming back to this establishment for any future visits!

I came here as a first time patient. I had a tooth that had a pretty fair chance of needing a root canal and wanted to get it taken care of as soon as possible in case I could get away with just a filling. I was able to make an appointment for an exam less than 24 hours away! The staff up front was nice and quickly got my information and papers I needed to fill out.I was taken care of by Dr. Agarwal and it was one of the most pleasant experiences with a dentist Ive been through. She was very informative and careful. I managed to have my exam, cleaning, and fillings all done in one sitting which Ive never experienced in my life. They didnt try to push any extra services on me like many dental offices do.10/10 would have my teeth drilled into here again.

This is my first dentist outside of the one I had gone to for years with my family. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dental assistant was awesome and definitely helped to make me feel relaxed and comfortable. The dentist was very thorough with her check and with making sure I didnt feel any pain during drilling which is the first time Ive had that.I would definitely recommend this dentist for those in the Lafayette area.

ZERO STARS! I would rate them zero stars if I could. I went for a cleaning, and they only cleaned my tooth with a little pick. Then the female decided I should protect my teeth by sealing them to protect it from cavity the same day she did it two of them fell out. I went back one week later for her to fix them and they fell out again. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

Place is a joke!!! I wouldn’t take my dog here. Not professional at all. The female dentist throws temper tantrums like a child. And the male dentist does horrible work! If you want chemicals all over your mouth and your teeth all connected with filling material go ahead and go here. But go at your own discretion. I feel bad for all the assistants who work with such rude and ungrateful doctors. STAY AWAY!!!!

My sister and I both had an appointment here last week and had a very pleasant experienve. The assistant working on us was wonderful. Didnt catch her name but she had short black hair and truly made our visit a pleasant experience.
