I have been going here for about a year! Great place to get a message or facial with a great cost! I recommend getting the by month plan! All staff are friendly and make you feel comfortable. One of the reasons I like this place is you can get an appointment pretty quick compared to other places. The only thing I dislike is I prefer to support the business by buying products but there is times were they don’t have what you need, so you have to buy it online somewhere else. Overall I do recommend going here! If you haven’t stopped here, stop thinking about it and make the call!l

Dont waste your time at this place,total scam. booked a massage at this place-super pricey,they called me and cancelled my appointment 2 hours beforehand. then tried to sell me a pricey PACKAGE over the phone. got my wife a gift certificate for 80 minute massage. took 3 weeks to get appointment. the day of appointment ,they called her and cancelled,said LMP was sick. same thing they told me. and tried to sell her pricey PACKAGE over phone. kids working at front desk clueless and snarky. never again!

Also be aware when cancelling that you or may not get all the information in the first phone call to cancel.

My husband and I had appointments for massage on a day with inclement weather. Totally would have understood if they reached out to us to cancel. But 2 hours prior to the appointment, we both received a text asking us to confirm our appointments, which we both responded to confirming our intent to come. We drove 40 min from our rural home in poor road conditions to make it on time for our appointments only to find the location closed. This is a corporate chain. How hard would it be for someone from another location or corporate office to sent a modified automated message to people on the schedule??? Complete disregard for customers time and safety.I am modifying the number of stars due to manager reaching out directly and doing good job of service recovery.

This is my first appointment since Covid. The text confirmation kept texting me to confirm and I kept getting emails about my appointment, which was only made about four days prior.My massage therapist was amazing and gave me a deep tissue massage that worked out all the knots in my back and neck (which was a lot).The thing I didn’t like and disturbed me was that appointments start on the hour and end close to the hour. Even through they told me to come in four minutes before the appointment, three people were in front of me, two came in right behind me. Meanwhile, about six customers leave around the same time and the front desk and lobby was CROWDED. With every other chair blocked, people were waiting around for their appointment or to check out. It might help to stagger appointments so some will come in on the hour and some on the half hour to elevate the traffic congestion.

Everyone is always extremely friendly and helpful. I do feel that undue pressure is put on tipping especially on the amounts and not letting a person really decide what their tip should be.

Never buying a massage there again. Overrated and definitely not worth it.

I just got out of one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I got booked with Sara James on a whim because I needed a massage after a stressful week. I upgraded to a hot stone massage and it was well worth it! I came in so incredibly stressed and a little grumpy and left so relaxed and happy. I was Sara’s last appointment of the night but I couldn’t tell because she was energetic and friendly right from the start. She did a mini consultation with me before getting started, which I really appreciated. Her technique is so relaxing yet still effective and you can tell she is an experienced massage therapist. She ended my massage with an AMAZING facial massage, which felt like a bonus treat! I immediately booked her for my next massage and plan on going to her for as long as I can! She is amazing!

Im a retired U.S. Army veteran with multiple service connected disabilities. I suffer from degenerative disc disease, sciatica, and arthritis. Kenny did a great job getting rid of the muscular knots in my neck, shoulders, and back. I left feeling completely relaxed, and with much more mobility than Ive had in the last three months. Ive been dealing with a pinching pain in my upper back for months now, and its awesome not feel that pain anymore. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

I got a 50 min massage. It was my first time there so I arrived early to provide the information they needed. My masseuse came to get me at approximately 11:05 (my massage was at 11:00). After I was left to undress which took a few minutes as well. My masseuse came in and we discussed problem areas etc. by this time it was close to 11:15, when the massage was over it was only 11:46. Obviously this was not a 50 min massage. The massage itself was fine, but I asked for a full body massage and several areas were not addressed. I did like the atmosphere and had it been for the full 50mins and a full body massage I would have been satisfied.

I was just in for a Deep Tissue. Kenney was my therapist. I’ve had over 30 deep tissue massages. This was the best massage I have ever had. Couldn’t recommend him more. He is a master of his craft.

Have been a member for over a year now. Its very simple-I set up the date in which I would like to have the autopay(I have changed it before and it was such a simple process), then a credit is put on my account. I use 1 credit for a massage every month. You also get member pricing for any additional massages during the month, which is awesome! You accumulate points as well that can be used towards upgrades. If you dont use the massage then they save (if you cancel I believe they expire a few months after). You can pay for upgrades, but even without the upgrades the massage is still great! I love buying gift cards for gifts and the recipients always are happy as well!Sydney is PHENOMENAL! I book a month ahead to make sure I get her! She genuinely listens and it shows. If I ask for a specific area to be addressed, then we discuss how much time to either get that area fixed or allow for a full body massage. If I really feel like treating myself, then Ill book an 80 minute massage and its heavenly.Arrive a little early so you have plenty of time to allow for your service! If your massage is cut short because you didnt arrive on time, then it is not the massage therapists fault.

Never actually been able to get a massage here but have had a hell of a time trying to get a refund for a membership I was signed up for. Called to schedule a couples massage, was told if I got a membership I could save money on the massage, had to cancel the massage last min and still got charged $65. Even though I never signed anything or haven’t even been into this store. Spoke with two different managers trying to get a refund when I was told I’d be able to get one and I’m still out $65 for about two weeks now.Moral of the story, don’t do any payment information over the phone with these guys.Was hoping to get some Christmas presents with that money but I don’t see it happening.The gals were all nice on the phone, but I’d still like my money back.

I had 2 free 50 minute massage cards which were gifted to me that I wanted to apply towards a couples massage. I understood that I would be charged an upgrade to make it a couples massage, but the massages themselves were supposed to be free. Even though I tried to use them, I was still charged full price for both massages and told this was because I’m not a “member”. I have done this deal before and was NEVER charged $200 until now, regardless of member status. Will not be returning. A refund would be appreciated. If the cards do not do what they’re advertised to do, don’t hand them out.

Beautiful eyebrow wax! However the massage left me feeling worse then when I came in. I literally felt like i couldnt move when we were done. Which probably was just me and my body. The therapist was lovely, its just not something I will personally do again.

My VERY first massage and it was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I wish for the life of me I could remember the name of the Gal that I was paired with. She was PERFECT for me!! She had gone above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and communicated softly but enough to let me know what she was doing , as well as ensuring I was comfortable. I will say that was one of the greatest hours EVER! Thank you for choosing great staff, they really do go above and beyond. I will definitely be returning!!

Horrible customer service from hand and stone in Lacey. Drove from tacoma to find out that they they cancelled my whole appt instead of just my facial. Had the nerve to say that it must have been mis communication when Jenny who was at the desk at the time stated to me “ no problem, we’ll cancel the facial but we’ll still see you at 5 for your massage.” Never going to this one again. If you want a massage or facial, take the time to go to UP or Puyallup. Much better customer service.Update: Jenny personally called me to apolgiZe and supposedly added a free service to my account. Still a bit butt hurt because I live in Spokane now that that doesn’t help at the moment but I appreciate the location and her in trying to rectify the situation. Changed the stars from 1 to 3.

Zach gave a wonderful massage that was very soothing and relaxing. Perfect for me to be able to unwind and de-stress! The site was clean, the rooms warm, and the music soothing. Very nice!

Scheduled a massage and then called to confirm day of the time and they said I couldnt come because they are only seeing members at this time... then tried to talk me into becoming a member.I used to go there more frequently but got tired of always being asked to do the membership befor and after every service, even after I started everytime Im not interested.They have good availability.The massage practitioners and estheticians dont seem very experienced but decent if you cant get in anywhere.

My husband has been working here for over five years now and they are a great franchise to work for! Everyone is super friendly and they also go beyond to help clients. Ask for Zach Crews if you want someone experienced and that specializes in deep tissue. Every massage therapist is great here!

I got there a couple minutes early and had to fill out some paper work, wasnt aware Id have to, so I got back 5 minutes late. Then it took a couple minutes to get in the bed, then I was asked questions for a few more minutes before we began. So it started about 10 minutes or so after I expected when I made the appointment. He was done at XX:50 and quickly left before I could really ask questions. So for a pretty expensive hour massage, that I was told would be 50 minutes, was actually 40. Not to mention he held his hand in a single position twice for like 5 minutes each, so that was 10 minutes where I was laying there thinking and this is supposed to help me how kind of a lame experience no doubt. Not truly happy with the full service, definitely not enough to go again. Although the short amount of solid massage I did get helped wonderously on my shoulders... so I guess Ill give 2 stars

He’s the only person I book with now and I book ahead every month now with my package just to make sure I can see him! I was an LMT there. Be specific about your massage needs. If you need injury treatment or just a relaxation. If you want couples... Make sure you say that you want couples. There are allot of great therapeutic upgrades for your massage or esthetics visits too. When you find your perfect fit with an M.T. or Esty request your apt with them 💜

This Hand & Stone has really got it going! My recent massage was with Sarah.. Shes only been here for two months, and Im so glad I found her 😃 Ive had many massages, but I believe this was the best yet.. She listened to my requests for neck, shoulders and arms and I felt like butter by the end of my 50 minutes... Cant wait to go back!

I have used Hand & Stone close to 10 times in the last two years I have been stationed at JBLM. Unfortunately, I am being relocated to NYC, so I will not be returning to this location. That said my last visit with Riley Cruz as my therapist was by far the best massage I have had in the last two years, and close to the best in my life. She was amazing. She provided exceptional deep pressure for my problem areas. I wish I could have a 3 hour session with her to truly help me with all my tightness. She went above and beyond, providing expert advice, and was truly knowledgable.She is a true credit to the hand & stone name.

Steer clear of a membership unless you will absolutely use the service for massages. If not your wasting your money. They care little whether you come in or not as long as the account continues to be charged monthly. It ends up being a waste of money you will not get back. I wish I had cancelled sooner.P.s. You will not receive any courtesy calls either for appointments.

Upgraded to the CBD massage. He BARELY put any oil on my during the whole massage. At 4 other locations I have left feeling relaxed and no pain, at Lacey I felt like I got screwed. Like I paid $25 for nothing. If I am paying extra I want to actually feel the enhancement.

Update; I want everyone to see this before reading about my experience:I was called by the assistant manager directly after my review and the survey I took on their services. She offered a free massage to make up for my last experience. I respectfully declined, so they reimbursed me for money spent on the massage portion (which is all I wanted refunded on). This morning, the manager (Ms. Jennifer) contacted me to see how I was doing, apologized again on behalf of their specific facility and told me how they were going to proceed with training. Additionally, she told me that if I ever choose to come back, they will still honor the offer for the free massage. This company handled this disaster in one of the most professional and kind ways I have experienced. Though I will not go back, I appreciate and respect the integrity of this facility. Thank you.DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. I went in yesterday (22JUL19) for the facial and then the massage (back to back sessions). The facial was semi-decent, but the massage was absolutely terrible. The woman masseuse I had was Ashley, and not only was she popping something on her body every 30 seconds (this is not an exaggeration), she had no clue what she was massaging. I asked for focal points on my neck and shoulders, and what I got was this girl rubbing right beneath my jaw and directly next to my throat (under the tongue area), pressing firmly and sending radiating pain throughout my jaw. She then proceeded to apply pressure and rub on the front portion of my neck - on the sides of what we would call the “Adam’s Apple”. She finally realized to stop when I jerked my neck away from her out of pain. I mean, Ashley...what were you doing, girl? That’s a no-no. She also rubbed my rib cages (yes, I’m serious) with the tip of her elbow applying extreme pressure. I suppose when I said “deep tissue”, her 20-minute online masseuse class instructed her that rubbing bone with a sharp point is the best route to go rather than rubbing muscle with your hands, and even forearms if you need help with added pressure. Finally, I can assure you right now that during my “deep tissue massage”, I do not recall a single muscle being rubbed. My entire body was tense the whole time out of misplaced pain - not relaxed. And how much did I pay for this? $117 (that’s with the tip - the massage sucked but I’m not a fan of no-tippers). When I went to the front counter to pay, the receptionist girl knew I was upset because she began snatching things and her tone was uncaring. How this began, I’m not sure because I didn’t make a fuss of anything in there. Why would I? That’s inappropriate to me. One would assume that good business etiquette included making sure the first time into an establishment is nothing short of wonderful. Every individual I encountered in this facility failed to effectively deliver a relaxing environment and experience. If you’re ok with gambling, by all means give it a go. There did seem like a couple people who were satisfied with their experience while I was waiting for mine. This place is not for me and I’m unusually disappointed.

I tweaked my back working out and Rachael fixed it. She is an expert. What a relief!Ive been getting a massage from Rachael and a facial with microdermabrasion from Karen every month for several years. Both of them are very professional, listen to any issues and come up with great solutions. I could not be more satisfied and I feel like I am getting away with something with the membership. I have priced the services I use elsewhere and Hand and Stones member prices are great. I highly recommend.

I was able to book a massage and facial back to back. Both were amazing! I was listened to when it came to areas of concern and where the focus on my facial and massage were. It’s been 4 plus years from finding a good massage that I felt I got my money’s worth. I rebooked and honestly, I’ve never rebooked directly after a service because I have felt underwhelmed in the past. Great service and price.

I called this morning for same day appt. Young lady I spoke with told me since I had not been in since 2016 she would offer one hour massage at intro rate at $ 69. I also booked a basic facial. My facial was fantastic and relaxing - would see her again. The massage therapist asked if I had any areas I’d like her to focus/work on. I told her I fell and my right hip was hurting and my chiropractor suggested I come in to relax muscles. I also mentioned that I hold tension and stress in neck and shoulders. So she asked me “upper body primarily?” Yes, I confirmed. While face down I could hear her swigging a bottle with ice and drinking from it and sucking/and or chewing on something. She massaged my neck and shoulders but it wasn’t done very well. She never once touched my arms nor hands. As for “right hip” which was my chief complaint she poked around my butt muscle over the sheet and proceeded to do the same to the left butt muscle “ to compensate “. No massaging over my lower back or hips took place at all. She moved back up, swigged more of her drink, touched between my shoulder blades and said there was s hot, wet towel on the counter. I have had countless of massages - all over the world - from all varied price points - but none was as mediocre or with the drinking and chewing in between hand touches as sad as this. I went to pay at the desk and gave a $10 tip despite the fact I was displeased with service because I feel sometimes people need to be paid some kind of a wage for service regardless of how poor it was. I was not charged the intro price as told when I called earlier but $109. I called after leaving and stated that I had been told I was getting $69 intro price. I was told I’m getting a refund on that part. I hope so because honestly the whole massage was not even worth $69. I will go back for facials but drinking, chewing and a mediocre massage is not enough to bring me back for that price and sad... my right hip still hurts.

Lacey Hand and Stone. I have been a member for approximately 6mo and I have to say each time I come in they treat me like family. I get reminder calls of my appts and never any pressure to purchase anything extra. The environment is clean and friendly, as well as relaxing and calm. I have recommended many friends and co-workers so far and have purchased a few gifts for friends and family as well. Membership has its rewards. I am really enjoying my pampering experiences. You should totally give them a try.

I had a hot stone massage and foot scrub for moms day. Becky did an excellent job. It was an awesome experience.

The best deep tissue

Nells is the man here at Lacey Hand and Stone, Ive tried at least 8 different massage therapy clinics who advertise deep tissue or sports massage. This guy is a true professional with experience and ability to actually do a full hour of deep tissue or sports massage. He knows where your trouble areas are without having to tell him. Excellent at what he does and well worth your time and money if you are an athlete and need help with recovery.

Front desk staff is rude and they push upgrades constantly. Its annoying and frustrating! I just want what I asked for. Are you implying the product I asked for isnt a quality service? I had a facial and the whole time the lady was just pushing their products. Even though she told me my skin already looked health. Why do I need your stuff if even you said what I was currently doing was working? I HATE when people just try to sell you product or upgrades you didnt ask for. Im also very unhappy with how they handle their memberships. Canceled my membership 3 months in and I will NEVER return.

I was most impressed by their ability to schedule me the same day I called....that is almost unheard of, and most appreciated!! The facility is clean and calm, with a very peaceful atmosphere. The service was wonderful, massage extremely relaxing, and the front desk staff exceptionally patient and knowledgeable. I would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation!

I’m a member here and usually have a mediocre to good experience. But in 17 December 2019, I was booked with Cynthia instead of my normal guy because he no longer worked there. Worst massage of my life! First of all she asked what pressure I liked. I let her know that I workout a lot so I needed firm. She sighed and said she would do her best. Holy elbows! Six elbows down my back for 40 mins. Super painful. She finally stopped and walked around the room for what felt like 5 mins. She never massaged my legs, and spent 2-3 mins on hands and feet (light pats) while shaking and sighing the entire time. I originally wasn’t going to write a review because she seemed older. However, I was in pain for my entire three week vacation, sore to the touch and bruised. The facial was fine. When I got to the front desk and tried to address the issue, they were very dismissive and tried to cash me out ASAP. So weird. I gave this a 3 because the esthetician that did my facial after was so great.

This was our first visit to Hand & Stone, and we are very happy with our choice! We called in the morning to inquire about an evening appointment, and they were able to accommodate us with a same-day massage. The facility is clean and has a very calming atmosphere, and the staff are very nice and professional. My boyfriend and I got the couples massage from Ignasio and Rod, both of whom did a wonderful job. An hour is never long enough! The prices for this facility are also incredibly reasonable compared to many other spas and wellness centers. We will definitely be visiting for massages in the future!

The Massage was great! The front desk staff are a nightmare! what a way to ruin a great massage. First of all, I was over-charged for my massage and then they offered me the membership, which I was interested in. One, they couldnt clearly explain the contract, not could they even print out a copy. I called three days in a row to get a refund on the overcharge and could not get the manager to even call back. I ended up driving back there and getting the refund and cancelling my membership. Sad, because I really like the massage therapist, but is it worth the bad service at the desk!?!

The massage wasn’t great. I didn’t feel like my muscles got worked out at all and the massage therapist kept popping her knuckles which was kinda annoying. I work a lot with my hands and I feel like my nail salon lady gives a better massage than I got here on my hands and arms. I left super disappointed and upset I spent $80 there for basically nothing when I really wanted help with stress in my neck and again, the muscles in my hand. Personally I felt it was a waste of time, definitely money, and I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Always look forward to going and having a facial---so relaxing! Added bonus is having an enhancement: scalp or foot massage, those are so wonderful. The people who work there treat you so nice.

Awesome massage therapists!

We were reallly looking forward to this but I realized our time didn’t add up at all, and I’m wondering if it’s because we didn’t realize they closed at 8:00 and we had an appointment for 7:00. Had an hour massage with foot treatment, totally thought you’d get an additional 15 minutes, but was told it was inclusive with our massage (I don’t understand how an added treatment can be included in a separate service, but apparently that makes sense?).I’m annoyed the massage itself barely lasted an hour. Like... AT MOST (giving them benefit of doubt) 45 minutes for everything. We arrived at 6:57, quickly filled out some basic paperwork regarding pain and pressure, weren’t called back until at least 7:06 and our massage with added treatments was through by 7:57. It had to have taken at least five to ten minutes to talk us through. As well as with my husband’s massage therapist Jennifer CONSTANTLY asking questions about his pain, and realizing she never provided relief for any of what she was questioning- total buzzkill. I was too busy waiting to hear when she’d be speaking again to enjoy what was happening with my experience. I thought it was particularly interesting she focused on parts he didn’t express need for.We came for our birthdays. I could’ve spent that money on pedicures at the nail salon for a better experience. I would’ve spent it on the Dermalogica they have featured in their front lobby. We contacted the company and they were extremely unhelpful. I’ve never been so displeased with a professional massage in my life.

Had a very nice, relaxing, first time prenatal massage. I feel completely stress free. Will definitely come back if I am in the area again!

My massage, after I asked for more pressure, was mediocre. The pressure didnt last more than a few minutes, quickly dwindled down to nothing. For the most part, I felt like I was simply getting lotion wiped all over me. My areas of focus were also not addressed.I mean, why bother asking what I need worked on, if youre just going to do your own thing? Lastly.. the upgrade was a disappointment. I requested the hand treatment. There was no massage done to my hands. My uper extremities were lathered with an exfoliating gel substance, which I was left to marinate in for a couple minutes , and then it was wiped off. I felt so icky and gross afterwards. And the time spent marinating in sticky gel... was deducted from the massage time. I kept thinking... when are we going to do my low back? But my time was up. Unfortunately I left with my #1 area of need untouched.

The masseuse did a great job of customizing the appointment for my needs. She demoed the hot stones for me to show how they could assist in better releasing my shoulders. The facial was also wonderful and customized for me. Great job!

Got a gift card from a friend on my birthday for a facial. I was so excited to use it and was even more excited to get a same day appointment. After my lovely facial i came out to find out i got charged for that facial and the upgrade. Come to find out they didn’t even use my gift card, even after they got my info and my friends name. Why even get those details if you aren’t gonna use them. When i called back there was a little confusion as to where the gift card had gone or if it was used, and even who’s name it was under. I was also very confused because i thought we established that i was using my gift card. Sad to say I’m still waiting for my refund and because of the mix up and the way it was handled, I’m not getting a membership there anymore which is a little sad because I’ve always heard good things about this place.

They open 7 days a week. With the busy schedule I have a weekend therapeutic is a great way to end your week!

The staff is very friendly, appointments are easy to make, the atmosphere is relaxing and soothing, and the therapists are skilled professionals. They offer military discounts, as well as monthly specials.

Very clean and calming environment. The technicians are knowledgeable (both in service techniques and retail cosmetics), friendly, and go out of their way to ensure a positive experience. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking to pamper themselves or a friend.

Highly dissatisfied. I have gone to this particular hand and stone several times, it truly is hit or miss. Today was a giant miss. I dont like confrontation or I would have asked for a refund. I had a 90 min deep tissue massage that felt as though I was just getting lotion rubbed in gently even after I asked for a deeper pressure, which was accompanied by awkward small talk . Id prefer not to talk during what is supposed to be a relaxing massage. The masseuse was shaking the whole time (appeared to have a sort of tremor) and I am not sure what technique she was using as she kept slipping off my muscle and very unprofessionally saying oh my and come on. She did the same exact kneading motion for approximately 15 min of the massage with almost no pressure- let me remind you it was supposed to be a deep tissue massage. When she had me lay on my back to get my neck and traps, I could tell her nails were not short as she continuously scratched me. For the cost of the massages at hand and stone this was a very frustrating experience. I left feeling worse than when I walked in and would not recommend Cynthia as a masseuse at the Lacey, WA location.

I bought a massage and a microdermabrasion treatment for my girlfriend and paid using my credit card over the phone. The person who I spoke with told me that my card would be charged for it and understood that it was a gift that I was buying for someone else. After the treatment, she was about to leave and they told her that shed have to pay the $110.00 that I was already supposed to have been charged for. She sold me what happened after she got home so I called the store and all they said was that I wasn’t charged for it so she had to pay. They offered nothing to remedy the situation. I would highly advise not purchasing anything from them as a gift for someone else.

Brittany (AKA Birdy) is amazing and you wont regret the experience with her. Shes been taking care of my skin. And now after quitting smoking and it looks like that of a non-smoker! Love Her!

Just went in for the infused microderm. Received excellent care and advice from Permetric, who really knows what shes talking about when it comes to skin care and was able to break down what she was doing so I could understand. Ill be back :)

Treated my mom to a 1 hour hot stone massage she felt amazing afterwards the recipient were really welcoming and friendly the service was great it was a nice clean relaxing environment her massage therapist was riley and she did a great job my mother will be back again definitely recommend this place

I intended to get a massage today and didn’t realize it was by appt only but the girl behind the counter was so rude about that rolling her eyes at me. She didn’t even ask if I had an appt just my first name and if I was here for a facial which I was not then told her I didn’t have an appt at which her only response was they were full for the day. Super disappointed for my first impression of a place like this.

I called in very upset and being rude because we got charged the month after we cancelled our payment plan. I did not realize that was how it is in the contract and my wife had actually been explained this. She told me after I called in. Even though I was rude and unkind, the manager was calm and explained it and never once was rude or unprofessional. The person who answered the phone was also courteous and professional. I will remember that often times customers may feel upset because they dont have the whole story and there are still businesses that can approach this issue with professional and positive attitude.
