Real talk... The lady with black curly hair was amazing....truly a dream come true when it comes to styling. She knows her stuff. Super pro. 100 out of 100. The lady who tried to make my appointment barely spoke English and I did not understand her at all. Would not recommend her,Tran. She does not make a good line or fade well.

They take walk-ins and same day appointments. Always friendly and helpful, kind and courteous. Vicki works hard to be sure you get the best hair care and the style you want. Its been 10 years of excellent experiences for both me and my daughter.

Firstly, i frequent this place when I am in town and tip more than is necessary even when my haircut is botched. I say thank you and leave. This world has enough rude people. Anyhoo, there is a sign on the door that says Walk right in or something close to that. And that is what I did. I waited till i was acknowledged and was asked if I had an appointment to which i respoded I did not and i was a walk in. She, in my opinion rudely said Ugh, i thought I told you before we dont accept walk ins and are appointment only. Mind you, she has never told me this. EVER. I said thank you and walked right out. I am sad and disappointed at how I was treated but there is a blessing disguised everywhere. I found a barber that properly fades and cuts hair. Southgate Barber in Tumwater. The best part is they accept walk ins with a smile and her chatter is super friendly. IIf you do come here ask for Trihn. She is never rude and does the best job.

Daysha did a fantastic job on my haircut - I love it! I made my appointment over the phone, was seen within 30 minutes and was in and out in 30. I didnt give Daysha much to work with: damaged, thin and overgrown, but she gave me exactly what I wanted, didnt take off too much, offered a suggestion to texturize the ends and I couldnt be happier! Please ask for Daysha when you visit - you will NOT be disappointed!

My daughter and I had a horrible experience today at this salon with Tammy as the stylist. We typically see the same stylist at another salon but we did not have the opportunity to go to her today. My daughter has hidden disabilities that prevent her often from leaving the house. These same disabilities cause extreme fatigue nausea as well as low self esteem.Today was her day! She felt good about herself and dressed up cute and we decided on a whim to go into this salon to get a trim. First walking in it was uncomfortable as it appeared no one knew whos turn it was to cut. Then Tammy decided she would do it. My daughter is super soft spoken and we make a pact before going into a salon that if she cant find her words that I will help her explain what she wants. I am not some overbearing helicopter Mom either, just a mom that tries to be supportive to her daughter when she needs her. My daughter struggles with eczema in the winter so she has dry scalp and the stylists thought she would shame her for it and then literally Acuse me of not caring because I could not remember the name of the products we use. She also shamed her for our home hair dye jobs which was almost grown out. Again we arent able to get her out much. She was above and beyond rude and honestly the other stylists in the salon knew it too.because no one would make eye contact after that. She was mean and rude and it was uncalled for and I still dont understand where it came from. Horrible experience and we will not be back. The worst part was my daughter was in tears after I forked out the money for the haircut. Ruined her day out. Shame on you Tammy. You shouldnt judge people when you have no idea their story. Now her bangs look awful too!

Joshua is the man. He cut my hair, best haircut Ive ever had. And Im losing mine, so thats a lot. He made recommendations that made sense, not just a sale. My wife loved the haircut too. He then helped her with hers with expert advice, that she will use and enjoy. To top it off, he helped our Pokemon Go game. If thats not full service, I dont know what is.Lastly, this guy Joshua, he doesnt have enough staff. So he works like 17 days in a row. Even with this he has an awesome attitude. Its nice that my wife and I find our new haircut place, and its in the same building with the same person. Thanks Josh.

Went in for a trim and walked out with my hair totally butchered. The woman who cut my hair (Vicki) attempted to cut it without even asking which way I part it, shoved a mirror in my face without saying a word when she was finished with the cut, and did a fast and lazy job of the cut in general. I spoke and she never replied, it was awkward, uncomfortable, and downright disappointing. I walked out wanting to cry, and sadly my anxiety disorder kept me from trying to even make my feelings known, not that she would have understood or cared in the least. My hair is way shorter than what I requested and looks like a toddler went at it with Crayola scissors. Definitely wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back.**update! I placed a call to the manager and he advised me to come in for a visit to discuss the above mentioned haircut disaster. When I came in, he was very understanding, pleasant to speak with, and also, he completely fixed the mess that was my hair. I left feeling much better and felt that he made this otherwise infuriating situation right. I would definitely be back to visit him, he’s obviously talented and cares about his customers’ experiences.

The interior and fixtures are in dire need of a cleaning. And not sure why it costs almost double for them to blow dry after a cut? Not sure why anyone would go here when they can get a better $50 haircut (that includes blow drying) at a higher-end salon.

Joshua always gives the best service. I have never had my hair cut by a guy before. But I have also never had this amazing of a haircut. Joshua made sure that I walked out of that store looking like a master piece. Compliments all day and lots of people asking me where I got my haircut. He also made sure to show me how to style my cut at home. He also recommended lots of great products and while he was styling he told me every product he was using. Defiantly will be back! I moved to Washington from out of country six months ago and had been looking for a great barber because my hair is fairly difficult to cut and manage and was unable to until I came here. I had been to this supercuts twice prior and had fine haircuts however on my third visit someone new had cut my hair. Her name was Sheena. She was friendly, quick, skilled, and efficient. My haircut lasted less than 10 minutes with her whereas normally it takes around 15-20 and she did wonderful. I highly recommend Sheena for her excellent service and knowledge.

Joshua has been cutting and coloring my hair for about a year now._The color is always fabulous and after experiencing a horrible orangish color from another salon, I appreciate even more how fab the color always is! __He listens to what you want and comes up with great ideas when you give him the I dont know what I want... I just want something different. __The team at the shop are very friendly and thoughtful and make everyone feel at home. __And theres nothing better than the compliments on the cut & color I receive. Hair cut was pretty dang good.The facility, ridiculous wait time *every* time (hire more employees... Maybe, no?) and the incredibly tense environment of explicitly describing how I wanted my hair to be cut & trimmed, only to be told I had no idea how hair is supposed to be cut and my terminology was not correct, not one thing I said wasnt contradicted.

Do not go here for a pixie cut.I called first asking if there was anyone there who was comfortable trimming up a pixie cut, I got attitude on the phone when she replied “well yeah, everyone here can do that.” When I came in I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked if she could just trim it up a bit since it had grown past my ears...unfortunately, she treated it like a men’s hair cut. Asked me several times “so, cut like right here?” How do I know?? She’s the one who said she was comfortable with a pixie cut..she cut the sideburns way too short (like for a men’s cut) and totally disregarded the cowlick I have on the crown. I wish she would have just told me over the phone that she didn’t have much experience with pixie cuts.However, she was pretty nice and talkative. Conversation was good.

Absolutely love the haircuts I receive from this place! Kori is my personal favorite when it comes to a getting a short, professional grade style undercut. Although $23 is a bit expensive for my liking, Kori makes the cut worth every single dollar! She really pays attention to detail, making sure to seamlessly blend between each length of hair when doing a fade. I’m not quite sure how experienced she is with women’s hair, but if you are a guy looking for that clean, fresh-cut look, she’s a top choice. Highly recommend this place to anyone willing to pay the price! Each employee has their strengths so make sure to find the one that works best for your style.

Really bad haircut, which I couldnt tell until later because the lighting was bad and mirror was far from the chair. The hot towel smelled like mildew. There were black spots on the wall that looked like mold stains. The stylist wasnt friendly, and she didnt even offer any extra services like styling or shampoo (even though I was the only customer) which I initially wanted... probably a good thing because I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to leave.

I went to supercuts because i would always get my hair done by josh who was amazing. He wasn’t there so i got put with Vicky. She is the WORST i have ever had I’ve had my hair done by first year cosmetology students better then her! She made my hair uneven and cut it WAY shorter then what I approved! She doesn’t listen and still expected a tip for messing up my hair! I will not be going back there i would rather get my hair done somewhere else than by someone who cant do something as simple as follow a simple request!

My husband has been going to Joshua for his military cut because all the other places we have tried cam never get it just how likes it. Needless to say, Joshua gets it perfect every time !!!! When i decided to do something with my hair (first time ever and was super nervous) he convinced me to do a balyage and I LOVE it. He definitely knows his stuff and is very professional yet personable and bubbly!! We will not be going to another salon.

Haircut was good, but Shaun-Ta was rude. Please if you dont enjoy doing hair do something else. Also my daughter got her hair trimmed and it cost $22 thats a bit pricey for just getting your ends clipped.

I would not go in there if you want anything other than a haircut by clippers or something extremely short. Luckily I cannot post a picture of what this lady did to my hair. It was an awful experience. She seemed uncomfortable when I asked for an a-line hair style, which I already had my hair cut into I just needed it trimmed. So I told her if she is uncomfortable doing it that is totally fine, I could wait for my regular stylist. But no, she butchered my hair instead. Never again.

Tai cut my sons hair. We showed her a sample picture before she started. What we wanted and what we got was not even close! She thinned his already baby fine and thin hair to the point that I can see scalp.

I am a female and had a shorter style that I loved. I stopped in here for a trim. I showed the stylist a pic of my hair at the length I like it so that she had the visual. The end result was awful. It looked like she took safety scissors to my hair, my bangs werent even all the same length, nothing was like the picture I showed her. She had cut it so short there was absolutely no fixing it. I had to shave my head. I am now almost bald and I feel completely ugly and ashamed to go in public. I will absolutely never go back and i would not recommend this place to anyone unless they need a complete shave, and still then, i reccomend you do it yourself at home.

Josh Trotter has been cutting my hair for almost two years. While there are places I could get it cut closer, the drive to Hawks Prairie is well worth the trip. Josh always makes my hair lay right, doesnt try to oversell me on products as so many salons do.

I want to start by saying that I am not one to leave negative reviews. If I have a less-than-perfect experience anywhere, I usually chalk it up to an isolated bad experience. However, the haircut I received here, I think is warranted.I went to this Supercuts location and requested a shampoo, cut, and blow dry. Pretty simple. As soon as I walked in the door the staff informed me that it would be a bit of a wait, as they were understaffed. I work in the service industry and can totally understand the pressure of being understaffed and busy at the same time -- Ive literally worked at understaffed facilities with lines waiting out the door. This Supercuts location was not extremely busy, and my wait was only about 15 minutes. 3 staff performed about 5 haircuts in 15 minutes. That should have been my first warning. However, I was still friendly, and made it a point to be a laid back and a positive customer who doesnt add to the stress or the frantic atmosphere I walk into.When I got in the chair, the stylist asked me how Id like my hair cut. No shampoo at all, just straight to business, so I thought, Alright, I dont necessarily need a shampoo. I told her I wanted layers and asked that my bangs fall at the crease in my eye, at my upper cheek. My bangs look ridiculous. Theyre hanging at my eyebrows. Even straightening them, they stick straight out, or up, or whatever way they please, but they certainly dont hang. I have very fine, wavy hair. Knowing that you cant reverse the Cut too short mistake, I didnt complain, just thought, Well, thankfully itll grow. Better go spend my shampoo money on some bobby pins and headbands. The stylist finished cutting my hair in about 10 minutes, maybe less. Fastest haircut, and to be frank, worst haircut Ive ever received, but not without the stylist cutting every possible corner.The final thing that inspired me to write this review, is that when I went to check out, my stylist verbally told me it would be $23 dollars. Then when she asked me for the cash, all of the sudden the price increased dramatically. So I looked at my receipt, and shed actually charged me for the shampoo and blow dry Id requested and never received. They refunded my money, but I am now stuck waiting for my bangs to grow out (they look realllllyyyy bad), would have paid double for shoddy work, and can definitely say I will never be visiting this location again.Being understaffed is stressful, yes, and hopefully this was an isolated incident, but its not an excuse to tank to this extreme. You still try and do your very best with every customer; I feel like that is just standard good service. Rushing through, making mistake after mistake that people have to live with, and putting yourself in a more precarious position by reflecting poorly on the quality of work your company hopes to offer is just not the way to handle being understaffed. Having guests wait a little longer while maintaining quality would be the way Id have handled that situation, and Id also double check my work to ensure that quality doesnt suffer for the lack of staff. No humans like to wait, but we all also know that anyone who complains about having to wait is unreasonable in this world. Poor quality of work, however, is something that needs to be flagged for any company, especially one offering cosmetic services like haircuts.

This was my first time being at any super cuts location. I usually go to hair masters but this place tops them by 100. The original reason i went this time was because they had better hours and im SO HAPPY I decided to give it a try. I absolutely LOVED Sheena. She created my best hair cut experience, she was very knowledgable and was comfortable to be around and had lots of great ideas. She gave me exactly what I wanted and more. Honestly the experience was not good. Truth be told the salon isnt the same since Sheena has been gone. And l dont think it will ever be the same . sheena brought all the character to the salon with her bubbley , positive energy that rubs off on everyone . And she knew how to do any kind of haircut and knew how to take care of all hair types. Ive been in with my son and , he left in tears because they didnt listen to him describe how he wanted it cut.

Ive been going to supercuts for sometime now and Trinh is my hairstylist and she gets it right every time, and thats hard to come by from all these cookie cutter hair salon places. I highly recommend Trinh for anyone that is looking for an actual high quality haircut. The stylist here have strong and weak points but Trinh has it all down between a simple cut, fade, eye brows, beard trim and any little detail that you want to point out. Just be clear on what you want and you wont be disappointed!

Ive been wanting a certain cut/style for along time. Ive went through many other salons that never listened so when I left I was disappointed but at that point it was to late. (Living with a cut that I explained fully to the hair specialist) Finally feeling like (whats it going to take but draw a picture with lipgloss??.) I was in the area and seen a Supercuts (Lacey /Hawks Prairie) thinking my hairs over grown looking chopped by the last place I had been at. I decided when I seen the sign no appointment needed to go in and talk with them about my termoil about feeling better and being listened to about what I want in a haircut!!. From the time I opened the door to leaveing with a huge smile and relaxed Awesome yhon and Josh were fantastic with ideas and yhon was amazing with his ability to achieve what Ive been asking for !!!.Thank you very much to both of you.I truly hope many more people read this and come for the best cut Ive ever received and great professional attitudes and leave as I did feeling Finally they got it!!!Teresa Smith

Asked for short layers but keep the length. Stylist chopped my hair from it being half way down my back to right below my shoulders. And it wasnt even.😞

Felt rushed, hair is uneven, and theres a little bald spot on the side of my head. I didnt see the damage til I got home. . Not ever going back, going back to my old spot even though its a father drive.
